Love of Asian Dramas

I'm going to give The Pillow Book a Few episodes before I make a judgment call. For me it's normal for a CDrama Wuxia to start off slow. I felt the same way about TMOPB and Ashes of Love. So far I feel like the drama is fine but I find this dramas don't start hitting their groove until episode 15 or so.

You are not wrong. The acting in this is bad. I just finished it. It's cheesy but I enjoyed it.

So in Netflix in the US it's rating TV-MA? Someone whose seen the movie can you explain why got this rating? I'm just trying to know if it's closer to a PG-13 or R?

Kim Eun Sook's dialogue that she writes is pretty memorable. Both Goblin and Mr. Sunshine have great moments of dialogue.

I love that Kim Won Hae is playing Ji Chang Wooks younger brother. Lol

I was on the fence about starting this one and I will admit, I'm not a Ji Chang Wook fangirl. (I don't dislike him, but rather I'm more indifferent). I have to say I'm enjoying it. The first episodes is a lot of set up. But I love the humor. The writer is the same as Strong Woman Do Bong Soon so a lot of the humor is the over the top wackiness. I'm actually looking forward to the next weeks episodes. And who knows maybe I will become a Ji Chang Wook fan after this series.

I’ve been in a Kdrama slump for about a month. I’ve been watching exclusively Cdramas, which is so unlike me. But I think that I found a KDrama that’s going to end my slump, which is When The Camellia Blooms.

I'm really liking it so far. It's has a different vibe to it but I really like it.

I'm really hoping that Shin Sung Rok is not the villian in this.

I really want more screen time for Eunsom, Saya, and Tanya. They are the most interesting characters. I’m really hoping that Saya and Eunsom get to interact with each other. But I’m a bit worried about the pacing of this show. I don’t think we have enough episodes left to wrap up the storyline properly and give characters like Eunsom the character development they deserve.

I just finished Eternal Love. I'm so excited to see this show now! I see Viki has the license for this show. Hopefully it will air in China soon after the costume drama ban lifts in October.
