i watched SBS Drama Awards 2016 for JKS and there her, LMH, LJG and JKS won the Top 10 SBS Drama Star Awards. so she was standing in between her 3 sons from past dramas and then the MC said that whoever acts as her son are rumoured to be very popular afterwards.
true enough Seo Kang Joon became her son in AYHT and he scored it big through that drama too.
i am expecting the next male actors who will be her son in upcoming dramas. ^^
usually in other love triangle tropes, SML gets in the way of an existing relationship between ML and FL, but here it's quite the opposite.
most times the ML and FL know each other first then SML came into the picture, but in this case it's the SML and FL that have an officially registered relationship, and it's the ML who's trying to break them apart.
so although the first half has been weak AF, i have come to really fall in love with this drama. the twist is rather unique. and of course it has to be Jang Keun Suk oppa who plays the ML, otherwise it won't work uwuuu~
i will never move on from the fact that JKS oppa's portrayal of Hwang Tae Kyung in You're Beautiful really reminded me of Domyouji Tsukasa in Hana Yori Dango, so this will haunt more forever in terms of how much better BoF would have been in my book had JKS play the lead character there instead.
anyways, my heart is calmed down now knowing that both JKS and LMH are good friends of the industry who were born in the same year, LOL. LMH oppa's mega-stardom following BoF was heaven's meant to be and i am kinda fine with that.
i loved him A LOT when he played Hwang Tae Kyung in You're Beautiful too, but the love story there didn't move me as much. The 2nd and 3rd lead syndrome there are too strong to be ignored, pfft.
i mean, i wouldn't have liked this drama so much if not because IT IS Jang Keun Suk oppa.

in the case of this drama, the lead couple are literally two people who have no business with each other if not because of their serendipitous encounter, and he has shown his strong disapproval of her intrusive/clingy behaviours so many times in the duration of the first half of the show (I FCKIN HATE IT ALL TOO!).
it's when the story moves on to flesh out his complexes that we can see more of why he has continued tolerating her, which ultimately made their entire romance really palatable for me.
Ahh yeah shame it has had to come to this. True that unless in exceptional circumstances, the cast actor already has his own flavour to the character so it's hard/impossible to emulate that 'exactly'.
