What is the definition of "rookie" here? Is is the number of lead role or the years they've been active? For example,…
Rookie are literally newly debuted actors. In award shows this can be quite ambiguous like Baeksang Arts Awards who awarded Best New Actor for those who may have debuted for quite some time but it was their first major large screen role.
In this case rookie can be considered anyone who've debuted in the industry within 5 years more or less typically. There are musical actors like Kim Seon Ho who i have removed because he's by no means a rookie though relatively new in the mainstream industry.
Either way the term rookie can be different according to different people and there does not seem to be an exact definition for it, at least that i know of.
If the actor has been seen in many projects over the course of 8 years and above even though those are not lead roles, then they are definitely not rookies.
By all means i think it's easier to think of the actors as "who are not the rookies" and they are the ones who should not be on this list LMAO.
Definitely someone's years of actual acting experience has more weight here imo. Discounting their years of official debut in the mainstream film/drama industry would be helpful to determine this in the case of musical/theatrical actors.
Eun Woo a rookie actor? He starred in dramas since 2015 and has like 10 of them?? how is he a rookie. someone…
He's more on the grey area side because he's been getting only lead roles right off the bat because of his gorgeous face. But in terms of experience, he could be considered a rookie or just slightly above it. I wouldn't simply categorize him as not a rookie.
Once an eel, always an eel! ? Welcome to the club ❤️? And I envy youu! I still remember the feeling of watching…
kekeke.
i was shookth when i saw him in You're Beautiful. like, who's this guy? HOW IS HE SO FCKIN PRETTY, MAKE IT MAKE SENSE...!!! and stuffs like that. my eyes are literally just glued on the screen watching him.
his gorgeousness is really captivating. ever since i found him, i feel like i have always tended to have an instant attraction for Korean actors with a Japanese look. their features really really stand out compared to other 'normal' Korean looks.
thanks, you're right. i have removed others, and now i removed him too. i didn't remove actors from other countries because i don't know them which means i have to check their profiles one by one and i can't be bothered to do that. any more suggestions, feel free to tell it :)
hehe, omoo ottoke. i am so late to the party but i am so glad i came across this article. thanks for writing it and i friend requested everyone who spoke good words about JKS oppa in this article LOL. approve me juseyo! ^^
i haven't watched many of his works yet but i am on the way. i saw spoilers for his character in Hwang Jin Yi damn it, i just began that one :(
let's keep supporting our Asia Prince till forever, fighting! ^^
Sure. As per my description, i suggested to vote for the first drama that hooked you to dramaland instead of the…
yeah quite unfortunate that i didn't know him before because i might have stan as soon as i found him LOL.
yes i watched Mary Stayed Out All Night too. i thought he was great in it, i mean i watched it for him and he didn't disappoint. i have also watched Switch and The Royal Gambler, he was fantastic in both.
well i read articles about that on Soompi. not sure when was it that the tax evasion scandal first broke out. was it 2014? but the articles on it were quite recent, especially in 2018 when his previous agency was officially investigated right before his military service, and this year recently his mom received a suspended prison sentencing for that crime. but he definitely was not involved whatsoever because he never dealt with any financial aspects of the company, it was all his mom who was the CEO and also acting CFO of the company. that's why he left the agency, stayed independent for a while and then co-founded a new agency with a director he worked with for a long time.
honestly he's so talented. i've been waiting news everyday for him to confirm a new drama but he's being extra conscious waiting for a good story rather than settling for any types of character which i truly applaud and trust him for. he might be looking for a script that's as good as Beethoven Virus (i am yet to watch) or The Royal Gambler.
he's definitely not just another Korean actor. his multi-talents shine through and he comes across very wise too. he's definitely someone i can trust and follow for a long time. i ditched all of my other k-actor crush before only for him, LOL.
LOL you should change the headline for this poll to just 'favorite leading men' ... so many on the list have had…
not sure why you would suggest that to me when i clearly titled the list to direct people to vote accordingly. you should have made the suggestion to the people who voted to know how to respect the title of the list and other lists i have made instead LMAO.
so nope, not changing the title. it's obviously unmistakable on my part, can't say that for others.

I literally just watched You're Beautiful last month and JKS instantly became my new ultimate ultimate fave.
I didn't even watch the drama for him but Jung Yong Hwa but i get so crazy for him.
He already had his blockbuster breakthrough 11 years ago and i just discovered him now. Gahh makes me sad thinking about it. :/
