I agree that high number of views may not always mean quality because 'one man's meat is another man's poison'. If you had to convince yourself to drop the drama because its not to your taste, then it may be better to do so or you may find yourself nitpicking every detail instead of enjoying the show. Maybe you should try the drama by Allen Ren and Bai Lu - One and Only. Its also based on a novel and from review is very good. I'm still waiting for its happier sequel before starting on the journey and at the moment still unable to let go of uncomplicated and sweet YAMG.

Now the drama is solid in its rating and the chemistry of the leads made them into national and global CP as well. I think you can give those skeptics or anti-fan who have a bone to pick do so on their own cos its their loss for missing out on a good drama. This drama is only aired via Tencent/Wetv platform yet manage to get 3.67 billion views since airing and the numbers will continue to go up. So, give yourself a rest and just enjoy it. That's what I'm doing now by re-watching (on official platform so that my views/rewatch count) including all BTS and posts about the Glory couple. Those who don't like the drama, it's a good thing for you to skip or else it'll be hard to move on once you get mesmerised.

Yes. Can feel that everyone put their heart and soul into trying to make it as perfect as possible - they have such a happy working relationship and the Director was open to suggestions and ideas. In one BTS, cheeky YY wanted to do away with less dialogue and just go straight to 'papapap' (we know what that means) when the screenwriter came in, then he push the blame to the Director and got hit playfully on the shoulder. YY also wanted the kissing scene to be filmed in the dark with only their voices and the Director sarcastically said it means they can just come into the studio to do the dubbing and don't need to act out the scene at all. Honestly, can't really move on yet from YAMG. Besides re-watching, currently also watching BTS, their events and FMV's - they never fail to leave me with a stupid goofy smile on my face or laugh out loud for no reason. They might as well compile all the BTS and release it all as special episodes.

I do not feel that they don't like each other. But they were not familiar with each other because they have yet to collaborate either in drama or in any game show before. Can be considered as strangers. In addition, both are wary of fan wars in case of misunderstanding if they were to seem close to each other, especially Reba due to her bad experience due to Luhan case. You can see that she's very careful to keep a distance from every male celebrity/actors during game shows and events. That may be why YY mention she seems aloof. Yes. I think both these actors were together in a few earlier seasons of Go fighting so may be close due to that. I only watch S5 and S6 E1 because of Reba but many said earlier seasons are funnier when the team were all male.

If you watch the 2019 Go Fighting, Sun Honglei appeared in one of the episodes as special guest and he straight away went up to Reba. He also called her 88. Very funny. Reba was also the initiator/presenter in Chuang 2019 and she did a very good job there.
