This would wrap everything nicely but since there are 16 episodes, doubt they will choose this way as dramas like to put the couple through some complicated scenarios as a test of their relationship.

I have the same opinion as you. Their chemistry is so convincing that I feel like they're not acting but it's really their real life interactions unlike other drama couple when I watch i know they're just acting no matter how good they are. Unable to get off the ship until now.
Anyway, I like Lucky's First Love and Love Is Sweet too cos Bai Lu is an actress that has great chemistry with anyone she's paired with.

I think they are step siblings. His mother got pregnant with him in order to marry into the rich family.

She may have adopted FL out of selfish reasons but I think she does have some real maternal feelings for her too but has too much pride and arrogance to show it.
That's the vibe I'm getting from her so far from their interactions and the flashback scenes.

I think FL is helping because she does have a contract and he requested help on a Saturday (which he cancelled earlier).
His manager is nursing a broken arm and if he appear sick and paparazzi published a photo of that there will be rumours of him all over internet.
Hence FL felt an obligation to stay and help cos she doesn't know his manager well enough to call and inform him to handle it (their contract is supposed to be confidential with no one to know her real identity).
