I hear you, character is an idiot

I feel like I’m watching a train wreck, I really should just leave and move on but I can’t tear my eyes away, lol. I watch in disbelief and smh constantly at the enormous irrational behavior of the FL character, she is incredibly hypocritical and reckless. I’m now through ep 29 and I ask myself how can this possibly continue for 14 more episodes……how….why? Lol

Ah well, this comparison game stuff can be never ending for some people, it is irrelevant.

I have yet to see any real intelligence from her except book smart. She is always morose, uptight and unbelievably gullible even to being taken advantage of by the same people again and again. It defies logic pure and simple. The writers must have a low opinion of viewers. It is becoming tedious. I’ve watched up through ep 27 and the character continues doing stupid things over and over and the ML continues to find her sweet and adorable lol. There are still 16 episodes to go and from previews it keeps going on and one this way.

Well then, you must have been blessed with breakups that involved nice goodbyes and well wishes. I haven’t known of any break ups that went down like this after being so committed to begin with. Of course, if your relationship was more casual then moving away and not being invested might not be very traumatic but that isn’t what they portrayed here.

Of course people grow apart and move on, relax. The reason (s) for their breakup weren’t really shown or explained in their breakup conversation. What is unrealistic imo is that they put in so little effort to work it out when they had been so devoted to each other. That one break up talk is it?.?? Not believable! See all the other similar comments here clearly I am not the sole one with this opinion. It is just that my opinion.

Wow, such a dramatically unrealistic break up, unnecessary complications throughout, dialog and scenes that weren’t at all needed. I really liked this drama at the outset and thought all the buildup was for, something, but alas no, so 😔. So many things that make no sense including the daughters sudden about face on ballet. Ridiculous.

I have to make a comment here about Wikipedia as many keep quoting it or referring to it (I look at it too myself) and taking it as the absolute gospel truth. Wikipedia content is written by VOLUNTEERS. Anyone can edit an article including you or me. it is not verified as an accurate source. The administrators even tell people who read the content to verify its accuracy through other means of record. I read through here and I have to smh at the attitude of some who apparently know history via Wikipedia and have a script of this drama so they can authoritatively and condescendingly tell others the truth regarding this drama. Can we just enjoy it? It’s fun to discuss possibilities and what we would like to see but beyond that…….???

Marcus is a YouTube person under the name Marcus Here! He is great and gives updates on Chinese dramas with start dates, newly filming, finished etc. He puts out videos every Tuesday, Thursday and Sunday. He lives in Canada and speaks/is Chinese so he gets info from Weibo etc. on Chinese sites so his information is reliable.

According to other synopsis I’ve read and Marcus (Marcus here!) on YT, Zanzi Yao leaves the palace and her surname isn’t Sun. That means they do not end up together at least in long term maybe? Others here insist they marry based on the trailer which does seem to be the case so you decide.

Historically, there is no such person as FL but the ML character is real. The ML has two Empresses in RL, one who gave him a son but she is from the Sun clan not Yao. Not sure where you read FL marries him and becomes Concubine/Empress. In fact, I’ve seen another synopsis that is similar to this but goes on to say the FL leaves the palace ultimately to learn more abt and further her cooking skills. If that is true they won’t have HE unless they play with ML’s true history.
