Rosemary, my initial comment on that drama was A MONTH AGO. You went back to that drama and started spamming me there as well as here. In fact, you keep posting there in general saying how much you like the FL. Good for you, I donāt care for her acting. Clearly you imagine that you are in some way her real life protector and advocate. This matters not to me at all and I donāt participate in group think either positively or negatively. I have my own views and thoughts. This is a forum to post INDIVIDUAL POV even if it is negative. Perhaps you should stick to posting on fan sites so you wonāt be triggered every time someone posts something you donāt agree with.
Lastly, I didnāt call the actress ādumbā in LOVE LURKING but the character she was playing was dumb and I wasnāt the only person there with that opinion. You should know because you came after other people in the comments with the same view that I expressed there. Perhaps you should stop being so aggressive and more capable of proper translations before you write something. I donāt know the actress, do you? I canāt comment on her as a person and I can separate fiction from reality, can you?

I have no doubt that what you say is true, in fact, I know it is true. However, we are masters of our own destiny and she will have nothing else to be evaluated on nor will her acting ability improve if these are the roles she keeps taking. It becomes a paycheck and nothing more. Certainly, that is her choice but it is highly unlikely she will ever break out of her mold.

I didnāt watch her last two drama's back to back deliberately. I happened upon this and she is in it and her acting and the way the character behaves is extremely similar. Sometimes actors improve and take on different roles and sometimes they donāt. Also, I donāt judge dramas solely based on one characters performance nor do I stop watching because one lead is doing a poor job.
No not cute type AT ALL! I dislike characters that act childish and use wispy soft voices or baby talk. Even a cold character emotes through their expressions, their eyes or their movements. I like strong women characters but not those that speak and move like puppets. If you think too much when acting instead of feeling or becoming the character it will definitely come across as too stiff. Not cold but stiff.

Perhaps but she is acting the same way now in THE MAID. Even if she is typecast as cold and aloof I donāt believe in her characters. She seems uncomfortable or stilted in her performances. Perhaps she is trying too hard or nervous. Maybe she will improve but she needs to try a different role. She needs to not be so cerebral or methodical in her performance and feel the character.
For me the FL actress cannot emote or really show emotions. I saw her in LOVE LURKING and felt the same. She knows her lines and goes through actions but I feel nothing from her. Her face, her eyes, nothing. I just imagine the Director saying ānow act angry, clench your fist hard and weāll take a close upā. She seems stiff or uncomfortable.
To be a good actor you have to become the character and understand their motivations so you can feel and react like they would. Not just speak the words in the script.
Other than that this is an ok short form drama with a storyline done hundreds of times. Nothing unique or special to be seen here.
