Thank you so much for that little insight into the actual history behind the drama's plot. Even though I feel like the ending could have been a little bit less anticlimactic, I loved how the drama portrayed a different aspect of a would-have-been crown prince's life. This was indeed a favourite of 2019.

My question exactly. The drama keeps hinting at a possible romance between Tae Joon and Su Kyung but there have been no mention of the wife. Are we to assume that they've divorced? They should at least show that.

Highly relatable article. I watched The Innocent Man a few years back and I can't recall what I felt while watching it, I do remember being unsure whether Ma Roo really loved Eun Gi or was he just being nice to her out of guilt.
Although I have felt like this watching a number of dramas, the most recent one I can remember is Ji Xiang Kong from Gank Your Heart. Don't get me wrong, I love him and he's one of my favourite characters, but when it comes to handling his love life he's an utter mess. There were too many times that I wanted to slap some sense into him.
