This drama was shot and its plot for every character is so well written as well as perfectly executed. All the episodes and those small intricate details that can go unnoticed if you don't watch all the episodes concentrated. Like the students roll calls by the teacher and the notes of tobe name for the unborn child of the detective... The dead people's apartment that lights up and with the morgue room's connection. It's all so well directed and everything just makes sense. But this story is more about how one person can deceive even death for love. Just heartbreaking story awaits ahead of us and we all know it.
Let's judge this drama's characters without dragging the webtoon in it since it is the drama that we are currently watching.
I hate hyerang right now. She's shown as such a selfish woman who can stoop at any level just to achieve what she wants. All these Maeran girlies are sad directly or indirectly cause of her. Jeongnyeon is the one she tried to hurt just to keep her position but it had domino effect on everyone else. No one's happy nor are they willing to even pretend they're okay. The scene where Juran broke down helplessly and Yeongseo had to let her out her emotion while also controlling her own tears, it was just too much. These are all kids who are trying hard to step closer to their dreams and hyerang's one selfish desire isn't only hurting these kids but literally breaking their dreams from coming true.
I totally agree with you. Kingdom had so much potential, especially with the new crown prince and the evolving…
I think we should give up hope on getting any other installment for this series. Just treat season 2 as an open ending and that's all. Already 3 years and still no news related to it, that means netflix really canceled this one.
Loving the women centric dramas that have been coming out lately. The relationship between two ladies and how they empower each other is what it should all be about that needs to be reflected in shows as well, so that people on real life can learn one or two things.
Even if it's a sad ending it's okay cause this whole drama and each episodes are truly what happens in a couple's life. Not everyone has their share of happy endings, not every couple share the same 'we lived happily ever after' life in the end. Some relationship comes to an abrupt end when there's no communication, no understanding, no compassion between the two individuals in that relationship which all makes them 'us/we'. Like this couple who couldn't comfort each other when they were lonely and were struggling with their own share of guilt/sadness/hardship of their own life. It's just that as a viewer we all want the main leads to end up together but this drama shows the reality of many couples where only few countable couples make it to the end.
This series must have been cancelled by netflix since Asin of North didn't do well as they had expected. Instead of giving us a half assed background story solely based on a new character that had no attachment with the viewers they could have given us a third season while also interweaving her background while progressing the plot from where the season 2 ended. It would have been so much better that way. There were so much things they could have done with the new crown prince and also about the virus that evolved inside him. It was really a waste of such a good series that had potential to be one of the greatest.
There's literally no one who can match the level of kim taeri. She's an all rounder performer and she proved it with her portrayal of Jeongnyeon. The comic sense that makes her audience laugh heartily, while making them cry at the same time with the pure melancholy in her eyes, to top it with her local thick accent acting out as a country person, giving us a simple, cheerful, cute little ordinary girl who also has a dream to make it big. It's all chef kiss. When we say we can blindly trust kim taeri with her choice of works then it was honest. She always has such engaging, heartwarming, yet always variety of projects for us that we would never get bored of her. She always gives her 100% to her roles, never making us feel like we're watching kim taeri acting. It's either brave Go Ae Sin we're watching who's putting her life at stake to save her country from japanese colonial, or Na Hee Do trying to make her dream come true by making her nation proud and being something that she has always wanted to achieve, or Gu San Yeong who wants to make it in this cruel world where ordinary person have no choice but to sacrifice their whole youth to be able to put a bread on their table at the end of the day, or Lee Mok Dan (no spoiler) a vengeful spirit who was just a child who just wanted to fulfil her dreams of becoming a painter but her dreams was abruptly cut off from her for someone else's greed, or JeongNyeon who might be from a small village countryside but her dreams ain't small, who has nothing but hope and the will to be a big star in her eyes. This is Kim Taeri!
How can just a drama be giving me this level of stress and fury. All the characters in this drama except for like 3 ppl are fcking annoying and just down right terrible.
The first thing was this movie was boring as hell. I love slow paced, horror building movies but this one just lacks the thrill tbh. I tried watching this movie so many times since it's release and failed to do so, falling asleep always in the midst. But this time i did it but can't lie i slept halfway through again but still continued again after a nap lol.
The characters did all the stupid things that a character in horror movies always does. No matter how much a viewer will be shouting on the screen for the lead to turn right they always will choose left and run into their death. This made me lack empathy with the characters cause they were dumb. If the cop dad knew this old man was a ghost, who the hell goes to a ghost's house with mere shovel and other stuffs to kill it with just humans alongside him? And the ending. When the old man turned into what was it? Devil? I laughed... Just not my style of horror.
Anyway, people who enjoyed it, good for you. Can't tell the same for the other half of the people who watched it.
I dropped this drama after ep 5. The plot seemed to go nowhere. And the serial killer really had no purpose of killing anyone it was all just coincidence and that's all. The killing happened just for the gore sake.
Personally, I think of this was a movie it would have been great and a smash hit.
Yeah, I can't do the whole 1 ep per week. 2 eps per week is hard enough, when I'm used to binging dramas lol.…
also LJY as well. damn,i will just skip this drama for now and see the reviews but these actors has such good dramas it sucks to even skip it. Kdramas really should focus on being a kdrama and stop trying to be a western drama with numerous seasons and numbers of months of wait just to be able to finish it. it kinda ruins the hype as well.
Its always the case with SBS. They keep doing such absurd experiments.
seriously imagine we find it hard enough to wait for 1- 2 months for a drama which is kinda bearable but we 4months is hard hard. Personal experience is I kinda forget the thrill of the early episodes while waiting for whole week for 1 ep. kinda annoying.

Ps. Hye Rang is seriously getting on my nerves now.
