Initially I wasn’t feeling this drama that much but it has grown on me so much. It is a drama that you need to invest time in it and definitely it is a gem. Patience has bore some fruits for me and I’m literary loving it now. Chen Heyi is redeeming himself for me in this drama OMG how I hated his character in Princess Royal but I’m so loving him here and his character is not so over the top and he is getting paired by favorite sister.
Du Yang Xi is that man who is strictly into the law. I understand where his frustrations stem from since he is full of pride and unfortunately for him he’ll be so henpecked😂😂😂😂without even much effort from Shouhua. He’ll kneel. He is my favorite character among the men, I love seeing how these people who hide behind the law are made to bend in reality.
This drama will be the death of me. The last I was swept off my feet by a drama couple was in Oh My Venus and Crash Landing on you and now this one joins the league…This drama is really really the best of 2025. Upcoming ones have to step up the game.
I swear this drama is hilarious like hilariously funny. The Boss is the funniest he is so full of imaginations living in his own delusional world that I feel bad for his end. But I laugh alot because of his antics. He is so dense. I’m glad I came out of retirement for EarthMix and I’m literary enjoying this.
This is a very well written enemies to lovers troupe. I was initially worried that they’ll just jump into lovers…
That is the reality they were both pursuing. Atleast ML knew facing an emperor or even plotting to kill an emperor wouldn’t bid him well. If he died and the emperor survived then his lover and tribe wouldn’t see the dawn light and if he lived and the emperor died still he would have to face the wrath of some officials or even the people who never knew the true colors of their emperor. Either way was a dead end for him. His ending was realistic and the FL never resented him for that and chose to protect what he died protecting.
tried this as my first Chinese dramas as I saw it on Netflix, but don't know, I will wait till it's finished,…
For me Cdrama have the best historical dramas. Korean have good sageuks under their belts but I prefer Chinese historical dramas and if you come across good ones then you’ll definitely know there are many cdramas that are at par with korean dramas. Just from my experience of watching korean dramas for 18 years and cdramas for 7 years now. Each at their own lane have their own charm. Just needs time to adjust to both styles and you’ll understand the beauty of both industries. I normally recommend modern kdramas and historical and xianxia cdramas.
You know I’ve been traumatized by those korean idol dramas where paparazzi’s are always on the tail of the idols taking photos at any chance they get so my heart is always on my throat whenever I see Thame and Po or Jun and Po in public places acting all intimate. I’m like hope no paparazzi’s coming for them but somehow they survive..
