Title Pyramid Game
A bit unrealistic show, but I guess if something is based on webtoon it's usually more cartoonish. It doesn't help that 30 years old women play highschool kids...

Title Call Me Chihiro Spoiler
Chihiro doesn’t look like former prostitute. She is too sweet and happy. Her prostitute friend on the other…
Wait, didn't she make sex with a random guy for one night, because he was in mood? Her friend was more like jealous regular woman than prostitute behavior.
I don't understand why single person without any money and power could do as he pleases for so many years. Guy had superpowers to find his daughter every single time and his adult kids were dumb to give him money every time. He was so easy to kill, without family and any friends nobody would look for him (as stated by police he basically disappeared from the system for a year anyway), they should have killed him. Last episode deus ex machina: "I was there and recorded everything" was bad. The decision before young policemen stood: "let him go and follow the law or get dirty" would have been much better. Also the fact the old cop didn't help his partner, when his life was in danger and went to the suspect who just got shot in non lethal place and he wouldn't be able to help her anyway was also dumb. Show was overall great (except for the adult Mei Bao actress acting), but last episode was a joke and I wonder how imprisoned person used toiled for so long. What about hygiene, lack of sun, bone, muscles, everything. He shouldn't be able to stand anymore, but well as I sad: last episode was a joke.

Not the kind of movie I was expecting...Is this a depiction of "child insanity"?
Insanity? More like ADHD/autism. Very sad, she was neglected by everyone.

Title A Bloody Lucky Day Spoiler
I feel lost. Did Geum Hyuk even killed someone or just was a photo guy? The CEO and taxi passenger look like completely different persons to me, but I have trouble recognizing faces if someone changes hair, not to mention most Koreans are like clones to me, so I didn't get that part. They weren't twins, but they looked like twins and in the end the guy who was killed did nothing, but planning and photographing. Nothing was explained, no his back story and past, just a random guy, who had no balls to do anything himself, but watching the other one do all the killing.

Too many plot twists during second part and unsatisfying, safe ending.
On A Bloody Lucky Day Feb 9, 2024
Plot is solid, but acting is too cartoonish, making it look more like black comedy than thriller, but I guess it's overall problem with Korean cinema. Slapstick humor with stupid characters and exaggerated scenes all over the place, no matter the genre, there's always some unnecessary commedy part, ruining whole atmosphere.

Title Monster Spoiler
I expected different movie, but well... zeitgeist. It doesn't have lgbt tag, so I never though they will go that way.

First part was like Kafka, frustrating to watch, typical worst side of Japan.

Asami Kondo, I mean Sakura Ando seems like so laid-back and cool person to be with. I can't believe it was acting, it's the second time I see her behave like that, so it must be part of her personality.

I have completely no idea what this is about. I haven't heard about books, just accidentally found this drama and it's different than anything else I have ever seen in the genre. Pacing is slow, but fascinating and mysterious atmosphere (also thanks to the beautiful OST) keep me hooked.

Edit: After reading the book I realize how many things is censored in tv show, but overall it's quite good adaption, just a bit too long, adding some things like the train trip, evil comic mercenaries on Evans ship (which didn't make sense) or daughter instead of son for Wang Miao. For the music and visual presentation of some things it was definitely worth watching. The only major flaw are non-Chinese actors and their acting, especially near the end.
On The Kidnapping Day Dec 4, 2023
Dumb show. Guy has no money, yet he drives expensive car. Instead of selling it, he blows it up. I can't watch drama with dumb and unlikable characters, sorry. Dropped after the 2nd episode. Not to mention bad acting, feels like a cheap comedy.
On The Long Season Nov 24, 2023
I thought it's a thriller/crime, why you didn't tag it as comedy? Disappointing. Although there's some crime part, pacing is so slow it barely matters. It would have been much better without the first 5-6 episodes, especially the present arc is horrible. Once the first six episodes end, there's hardly any comedy left, but unfortunately just when quality of drama increases, subtitles suddenly change into total mess, so it becomes difficult to follow.
On The Long Night Nov 15, 2023
Boring, lot of names, hard to follow, chaotic, nothing really happens, zero interesting characters. Dropped after 2 episodes. Very disappointed after watching Bad Kids and Burning Ice, this is total mess.

Felt like long episode of "Poison Daughter, Holy Mother" (however in my opinion worse than drama). I wonder if the author had issues with her mother, so she writes so many novels about it.

Can anyone tell me, if Yan Liang in the "Bad Kids" is the same character with this Yan Liang in this drama?
No, it's just the name the author likes to use in his novels. It's the same Yan Liang as in the "Burning Ice", although actor is different.

Does anyone know why her brother objected to the them being together?
He was asshole. Surely strong enough in the past to beat sister's bf alone, yet he hired others. Probably sister complex. Note that there's almost no likeable character in this drama, except for the Luo Wen.
On Burning Ice Nov 10, 2023
Title Burning Ice Spoiler
It's irritating how police harass regular citizens, while gangsters can do anything they want. Guy is cleaning city from the human trash and police waste resources to catch him, while mobs are beating and threatening regular citizens. That being said Guo Yu is also very irritating character, almost everyone is annoying tbh, only Wen is cool.

Title The Bad Kids Spoiler
Great soundtrack (intro reminds me British "Utopia"), atmosphere, attention to details. Just brilliant. One of the best Asian dramas.

The only thing that I felt was lacking is Xi Jung's death. There were no repercussions or any scene related to her death, like it didn't happen. No funeral, no police suspicion, not even her lover appearance. Book was better in that matter.

After reading the book:
Yan the professor was interesting character, shame he wasn't present in tv show.
Ding Hao was horrible in book, Yan Liang version in tv show is much better.
Overall the bad kids were not bad at all in tv show and maybe that's better.
Choice between fairytale and reality is a brilliant idea. Despite tv version is better than the book overall, the book makes few things better, while tv show skips many things, which remain unspoken, hence not really clear what and why is happening. I would gladly see version 2.0, which takes the best from both mediums and create ultimate experience.

Title Reset Spoiler
9.1-star ratings led me to this drama. But a few too many, not-so-smart moves of the leads don't really justify…
Wasted potential. They could have done some many things with the loop. Rescuing more people to have additional allies, maybe ask the most open minded officer what did I have to tell you to believe me (for example results of all sports game during the day, some private secrets, anything), after many attempts they should have learned all moves the women can do, so they can subdue her without risking killing her or dying. Endless possibilities, yet we end up with omnipotent police against the dumbest protagonists ever.
