I'd love that... Maybe I'm a bit deranged, but I like fictional love affair stories when the parties involved…
hahaha, I think most of us have that little small "sinful" corner in our heart which desires to watch them indulging with each other if only for a while and then parting in a mature manner maybe... Tho I would be super ultra happy with just a strong wholesome friendship also.
i’m 20 minutes into the 4th ep and ugh the female lead is just so insufferable to me. but i love her dad and…
I don't think she is being passive aggressive or is a shitty person. Think about having had a good day in a very very long time... coming home to share goodness with your husband and then looking at the face of a woman who wronged you at the big screen. She was just in a bad mood. But she still cordially asked her husband to have cake.
And later the husband was at fault there. Instead of commenting about the cake he should have asked first "Oh it's cake ! Where did you get it from ?" But nooooo instead he goes on a high and mighty monologue about "your cake is shitty and how could you feed your father that."
Typically people who say "You never say anything first then blame me" are the kind of people who never care to ask first and directly comment shit on things but when they are called out for it they act like the victim and the other person seems in the wrong when they are actually not. He is immature and a mature person no matter how mature they are don't have to accommodate such shittiness every time.

If she was a shitty person, she would have given a very different response to Kang Jae's comments on the rooftop when he stopped her. She would have gone the typical "DoNt CoMmEnT On ThInGs YoU DoNt KnOw AnD DUCKK OFF" then would have stormed off on the stairs dramatically never thanking him.
When they saw each other at the wedding... he is startled but wants to go and say hi, he takes slow steps towards her but then sees her husband coming to call her from behind and tactfully looks away hesitating... so she instead takes steps forward. Oh how beautifully they enacted it what with the music !! I got goosebumps and was smiling like crazyyyy.
And then the FL chases after him. Throughout the previous episodes she appears so submissive and anxious every time she is walking or going somewhere her posture is so... like a person at the brink of falling apart. But this time, her steps are so confident and her walk is full of vigor when she is going after the balloon's trail ! Oh every aspect of this whole production has stolen my heart.
Not a prostitute, but a borderline male escort (lack of a better word, but it seems they call it a "stand-in service").…
Escort services do not formally include sexual favors. It may be done under the covers. But explicitly it isn't described in the job profile. That's why escort workers are different than sex workers and their methods of working differ highly as well.
Maybe in the past when he used to work rooms at AKIRA he would have given a few sexual favors here or there in the club rooms but that's different than what proper sex workers do.
I was referring to his present however in my original answer not his past. For the present timeline each of his female clients look disappointed when he is booking a room because he no longer indulges them sexually.
And as you saw gifts are given to him even just for receiving attention and time, not necessary to perform sexual activities. Most of the lavish stuff would be from past services.
So I won't say he IS a sex worker. Maybe he WAS before he quit AKIRA.
also can someone please inform the husband that this is not how you take care of your significant other when they…
ikr, he is the kind of human being who is not bad, is mature but idk is also stupid ?? cuz despite the maturity he is e still so... uhhh annoying with his comments and remarks.
I watched half of episode 1 and don’t get what’s happening is the ML a prositute I don’t know what’s happening…
Not a prostitute, but a borderline male escort (lack of a better word, but it seems they call it a "stand-in service"). He is someone who acts a role the way the client wants him to in social gatherings. A client may want him to act as their male friend, or boyfriend, or cousin, or long time school friend etc. in public gatherings, funerals or parties in front of the client's relatives, friends or coworkers etc.
Some clients have different kinds of expectations from him which are not a part of the job, but the client thinks if they give him enough money he will do it (The first client for example was disappointed when he turned down her indirect offer of intimacy).
He used to work rooms in the club AKIRA (he was one of the men who give the female clients company and attention while they drink and fulfil their other requests of playing and fooling around as well. It seems he also gathered information on people by stalking them to find their dirty secrets when asked to do so by some client but he quit doing all that.)
It confuses me too, but in the end, what does it matter if it gives me pleasure personally.
Agreed, it just makes me happy when the dramas I like do well otherwise too. Idk it's kind of like when your friend does well in life you get happy with them xD xD
I'm really liking this show but I couldn't care less about her husband and whatever almost cheating BS he has…
she is the second female lead, we are going to see much more of her. Frankly so far she is fourth on my list of disliked characters. (Jung Ah Ran, The Mother In Law, Jeong Joon's rich sissy win the top three)
it seems like he will take the job, but grows closer to herreminds me of my mister when she was listening to him,…
Taking the job makes him closer(contact wise, proximity wise etc.) to the client (the actress) too, I am hoping he ends up digging dirt on the actress :P :P
I love the deep reflection that this drama provokes. Touching on themes such as mental health and existentialism.…
I agree. The vibe is amazing. The tragic parts are not overly dramatized, the viewers are left with a good head space to attach their own feelings about the situations which are taking place. This writing and direction gives the freedom to the viewer to decide how we feel about the events. The acting is so natural ! I personally like this kind of pacing a lot. Small events and conversations are captured not to fill in screen time but to give a better understanding of characters without someone spoon feeding you all the lines in a solo narrative all the time.
The movie vibe could be because both the director and the screenwriter of this drama only have movies as their past works haha. This is their first drama work.
Rewatching already! Totally worth it. Gaining so many new insights... And appreciating the detailing even more.
Such as.. the way Jung Minha grips her subway card is exactly like Eun Soo did in season 1 when she was sitting in the passenger seat and had asked Si Mok to drop her near the subway.
Kinda heartbreaking how Choi Bit also said the same thing to her junior as LCJ did... "You won't be able to end me with your hands" because they are both going to end it themselves...
Super excited to see the female cast !! Yoo In Na, Yoon se Ah are both my favorites! Kim Hye is also a very good actress. She pulls off her characters super naturally. Hope Jiso can really make it top notch here because the other actors are really good
