Anyone who is thinking about starting this drama I would recommend Do not read the comment section till you have watched the latest updated episode. The comments contain many spoilers and they have not been marked as spoilers. I got misguided by some of them and made opinions about this show without really watching it anymore after episode 5 because it did get a little disappointing for me due to Ho In's character. I am now resuming it and going to watch it but it did get really spoiled for me cuz i decided to read comments.
THIS DRAMA IS SO GOOD IDK WHY IT HAS SUCH A LOW RATING?!
It starts out really good. I loved it for the first three episodes. Even felt emotional attachment for Ae Jin. But then things went downhill as quickly as quicksand for me by the end of episode 4.
Let's be clear and straight here about bullying and I hope these asian webtoon artist and producers get some adult…
I agree with most of what you said except for one thing. The fact that more sides to the bully are shown is not for sympathy. That's up to the ones who watch, what they feel about it. If someone really sympathizes with a bully because they see how good of a daughter she is then that viewer is pretty stupid and dumb. But you can not criticize a screenwriter for showing what is in fact quite real.
A murderer is often a very caring father or mother, son or daughter. But the judge has to remain impartial despite knowing that.
Whether you like it or not, in reality most bad people are not as dark as black. It's unrealistic to not show that side of the bully. Because in reality this is what happens, some people who are insecure about themselves end up becoming bullies to cope with their insecurities. Does that make them less evil ? No. It makes them twice as disgusting in fact. Does the fact that how caring Ha Neul is for her mother erase her horrible acts ? They don't. It simply shows things realistically. It's up to the viewer to sympathize or not. And if anyone does sympathize with someone like this then there are high chances that they themselves have been a bully in the past or still are.
That said I myself am quite disappointed with the writing of this story after episode 3.
Do they always have to write the female leads as an over righteous, hot blooded character?
over righteous? she is a leading part of the royal guard. She is meant to be over righteous to qualify for such a role professional post lol. And she is very young. Around 18ish years since she is friends with Liu Ran, they must be around the same age. It's normal for such young ppl to be temperamental and naive.
Do Chi Kwang and the direction are the only reason I have been able to stick with this drama. The actor has pulled him off amazingly and the character is very well done too. Other than that, many many many things have been very disappointing in this drama for me. TROPES, Han Tae Joo, Inattention to details.
Thankfully the OSTs are good. And that blurred out + title track + slo mo camera thing they do with the actor looking at the camera when the Show Name comes up at the beginning of each episode is also very badass.
This kiss was really well done. Butterflies and screaming aside, the way it was executed was not immature or something…
I have never seen a first time, one sided kissing scene specially from the male character's side better written anywhere else ! They usually make it something impulsively done in the moment and catching the other person by surprise. They kind of glorify impulsive behavior and sometimes it borderline romanticises lack of consent.
I usually don't watch the romance genre at all mainly due to fact that the lack of these small considerate respectful gestures for the sake of "romance" turns me off and irks me. Though I try to be easygoing these days and let it slide.
But I am so so so happy that these things are so beautifully, realistically and maturely executed in Lost !
This kiss was really well done. Butterflies and screaming aside, the way it was executed was not immature or something just superficial.
Kang Jae stopped for a fair amount of time after going close to her, he makes it clear what he wants to do, and stops to see whether she is okay with it or not. Whether she will recoil like she did in the tent, then he would have stepped back.
The relationship between the ML and the FL has already transcended beyond a superficial physical level. In many ways it's so much more intimate than that. And I love every bit of its portrayal !
Like a gust of wind they cross each other sometimes and each gets goose bumps. Each is able to show a completely different, truer side of themselves with each other than what they are able to show the world. Each is like a book which the other one wants to read and understand.
guys i have a question, if cafe hallelujah was their dead friend's account then who tweeted that? because it seemed…
My guess is someone who wanted to continue what their friend was doing. And a very wild guess I have is that Just knows a lot more about Jeong Woo than he has told. An even wilder guess is, it's Just who tweeted that. XD XD XD
I feel very strongly about one thing : The casting choice for this drama couldn't have been more perfect! The leads have pulled their roles off in such a way that they imprinted the characters to their own individual selves.
does anyone know the piano piece played in the 5th ep ? exactly played in the minute 17 or the ending of the smoking…
I think it may be one of the instrumental soundtracks by the composers, it will probably be made available after the show ends . I have noticed most korean dramas have their entire ost tracklist on spotify typically after the end of the drama

Did you keep it like that because of the drama ?

Ahem.. right so yes... Very nicely executed. Hmm

I hope you can find what you are looking for in one of the instrumental soundtracks on this playlist.
