We can notice a funny additional twist in this:
He thinks he could go to heaven thanks to that, but the monk doesn't answer him.
Of course: there is no hell or heaven in bouddhism.
There is reincarnation, as long as beings don't free from ego and desires, and go to Nirvana.

It makes me mad: she has only 3 years with him and what she does?
She goes to work at the other end of the country!!! 😫
She really doesn't care about her couple life......... 😬

My expectations were so low, that anyway, it wasn't that difficult to surpass them. 😆

It's a bit: "the girl has a pet" romance.
By the way, we often say "Noona romance" or "Ajusshi romance".
It's time to get a new keyword: "Pet romance". 😄

I'm half ep14, punishment scenes are looooong.

I'm watching last episode right now.
Your points make sens: vigilant justice, torture porn.
Indeed punishement scenes were boring (mostly first ones, because uselessly long).
Difficult about romance, as FL has superpower and ML is a puppy.
Still, PSH acting made it enough for me.
Main actor is good too, then he does what he can with the script.
What I liked most in this drama was comedy.

Start of Ep14, funeral scene.
I'm surprised by a good background music here.

The lead actors were ok, else lot of overacting for villains and some minor characters.

Ep13, cliffhanger is good but hey, check that:
She pisses blood, he comes and SHAKES her, making she PISSES MORE BLOOD!!
There is even a closeup after he shake her, and we see more blood from her wound. 🙄
facepalm:: 😑

Little problem I have here: Why the killer from hell kills her?
She already has a plan to kill regularly the villain and send him to hell.
Does it make sens??!

Aya, then she's the one doing the kiss!! Zero initiative from him.
"You are cute"... Like he's her pet... then, "farewell".
She walk away and he stays on the bridge like an abandonned dog with sad eyes. 🐶🤪

Bitna to ML: "then you followed me everywhere and I wanted to protect you".
🐕 Waf! Waf! 🐶 PUPPY ML ! 😂

It's quite funny Bitna NEVER takes the decision that please everybody.
- Before, she was too kind on her judgments, getting people annoyed.
- And last, she's more hard than expected, getting officials annoyed.

Now I start to watch last two episodes. ^^

I hope to not give spoiler but how it starts:
ML has a deadly accident, and could be dead, then goes back in time.
However, the main difference with other series of this kind:
It doesn't make too much mystery, and we have hints he could be in coma in present time.
I found that an excellent point.

First episodes are good about characters, but poor about plots, as it's usual crime stories.
"case of the week" style.
Then, it jumps on more interesting personnal storyline and main plot.
Some moments are really "wow!!"
It's a good drama, I liked enough to watch all, but maybe wouldn't rewatch.

This ridiculous situation with HyeonO refusing to do the 9pm.
Aaaaarrghhhh!!! And you ask him why, he answers:
"I don't know". For the few seconds of this line, he was possessed by the writer, saying she doesn't know why too. 😆
It was little drama to fills the time...

LOL! I missed that line. So funny.

Well, it's what I was thinking at first.
But now mythology is all over the place. Not even christian.
Weird mix of greek and korean myths. Nothing stands a lot.
We get the idea FL is a moral being when she doesn't want to make kids suffer.
And mostly, she just kill only murderers.
So, Hell in this is rather a realm working with common ground with heaven.
Almost something administrative on some points.
As we can see, there aren't fights between demons and angels.
Then, demons here aren't the true evil, as it should be in christian myth.

It doesn't go as boring in second half.
AND, FL is a bit more likeable than the one in HDL.
AND, ML is a bit less a carpet.
