Even if I like comedy in this, it's mostly: Fast-food drama. 8.7 is madly overated. I'll keep in mind for the future: anyone rating it 9+ isn't someone I can trust when complaining about characters, because most of characters in this are half-one dimensional.
Anyway, I managed to finish watching the last episode earlier. A crap ending, sorry to say. This was a very beautifully…
And something that bothers me: We didn't have a scene where we understand why he couldn't speak to her about the grandmas. So, this whole thing about "I can't get married" remains a point too difficult to accept, while it's of prime importance in the story.
Well, I'm in team of people who liked the drama and has no problem with main couple or healing process chosen by writer. Just the storytelling quality decreases over time, less and less great scenes, and finally too poor last episodes. I had to downgrade my own notation on this.
An episode lasting 1 hour 15 minutes instead of an hour.Starts with a black and white flashback that quickly becomes…
I think you said it why. Unbalanced writing. Could be great or could be bad depending of time. It lacks dramatic present story in part 2. Entire episodes are just to make us wait for the cliffhanger, and as an easy trick, completed by backstory.
Half of the drama is flashback bro. I could have note the scene but maybe not the dialog. Now, I'm too lazy to go in my timecodes and rewatch scenes to find it.
AND to the viewers who know a true Narcissist, their behaviors, tactics, etc.
Last episode flopped hard. So, I'd just say "AND to the audience", without the ranting about ML. We get the sens that FL is not easy to live. Well, FL+ML are a good pair. I had the feeling in last episode that SML realizes she's not a woman he can love. Even more joyfull (a bit like Hyeri), she has a harsh personnality.
An episode lasting 1 hour 15 minutes instead of an hour.
Starts with a black and white flashback that quickly becomes colourful. EunHo listens to HyeonO's story. He's in his child form. And why he didn't want to get married. I assume this is a continuation of a scene from episode 11, when HyeonO shows her the attic room. The ‘child’ appearance is here to indicate that this is a trauma that has ‘blocked’ HyeonO all his life.
04:50 - Cliffhanger continuation episode 11. Clown Jae sacrifices himself and saves HyeonO. But EunHo doesn't know it yet.
I don't like this because it's a cheap cliffhanger. The kind used in daily dramas with half-hour episodes. As much as I like the couple HyeonO - EunHo, it was also an opportunity for some real dramatic development. Nipped in the bud now.
Clown Jay is being punished for annoying the audience too much. LOL.
07:10 - Chief Seo. This incident means there's no-one to present the 9pm news. So I guess he'll ask HyeonO to do it...
08:10 - And there it is, he asks him. For some bizarre reason, HyeonO refuses. Note: we haven't seen a scene where HyeonO warns EunHo that he's alive! lol. Ah, explanation: he feels guilty about replacing clown Jae because he sacrificed himself to save his life.
11:35 - EunHo joins him in the corridor. Will she be able to convince him to present 9pm? Aish... He just wants to be alone.
13:50 - Title: For you, with great zeal. ‘Why do you think we love’
14:10 - Radio show. About the attempted murder of Clown Jae. Hosted by Ju-Hyeon.
14:55 - Ju-Hyeon in his office. HyeHyeon absent. Her desk empty. So she quit...
15:45 - ... and joined PPS media. LOL. Welcomed to the team by boss Sin Jung. She is surprised to see EunHo (who she thinks is Hyeri).
17:44 - Ju-Hyeon and his colleagues. Stunned by HyeHyeon's departure. She's blocked his number. lol
19:50 - PPS, the whole team tries to convince HyeonO to present 9pm. Tsss. A drama for that?!!
21:10 - The sister tries to convince him. For no reason, he feels guilty...
24:00 - Collision between HyeHyeon and JinWa. She was reputed to be a bad presenter at media N.
25:45 - Tsss, HyeHyeon rejects his sex-friend plan. Lots of ‘little stories’ but nothing impactful so far.
27:30 - EunHo negotiates with Chef So. She'll try to convince HyeonO if he gives her a better show.
28:30 - So, she tries. But he's confused. Hug. I can't really believe this situation, and it gives me the impression that it's just here for fodder...
32:00 - She comes out crying. Not really clear why. And says that HyeonO has accepted.
34:10 - TV set. HyeonO presents 9pm.
36:25 - Night. EunHo residence. She says why she was crying. She was afraid he would suffer. Nothing very clear....
39:15 - Ju-Hyeon at home. Alone. Watch the military film. Imagine that Hyeri is with him. Things are going badly for him... Drama song. It's slow. Nothing happens.
41:50 - He goes to see his mother in hospital. ‘being alive is a good thing’ Perhaps he can convince her to mourn his brother? Drama song.
45:25 - Transition hospital room clown Jae. With Chef Shin and EunHo. It looks like this episode will be filled with nothing...
48:50 - Ju-Hyeon wants to present the 8pm news. He learns that he's the only one blocked by HyeHyeon on the phone. He manages to contact her via EunHo. Maybe they'll get the chance to see each other again, but not now...
53:10 - EunHo at the therapist's. She wants to say a happy farewell to Hyeri. And so meet everyone Hyeri has ever known.
55:52 - She gets everyone together at the grandmother's house. Including Ju-Hyeon, HyeHyeon and Min Young. Hyeri's farewell, comedy style. Things heat up between Ju-Hyeon and HyeHyeon.
01:02:50 - Out of the blue: HyeonO proposes marriage. Then nothing happens...
01:06:50 - HyeonO's mother works in a restaurant. Sees him on the news.
Argument between Chef Shin and HyeHyeon. Cringe. Ouch! Bad scene.
01:11:50 - HyeonO and EunHo. In Giyidong's field. Kissing. The end.
That was disappointing. Two whole episodes of closure. When the drama is 12 episodes long. And when the previous episodes were already dragging their feet. Here, it felt like the writer had nothing left to say. Everyone was even bored, the actors, the director and, of course, the audience. The emptiness of the episode even made it difficult to feel emotion for the legitimately moving moments.
Last scene with therapist is hint that OF COURSE, Hyeri will come back next ep!
I'm really curious: - Will EunHo fight and take over? - If HyeonO dies, will EunHo commits a kind of mental suicide, giving rest of her life to Hyeri? It's kind of tragic ending I could do, but not sure if there are still writers wanting to do that on airing dramas today.
Ep 11 is dedicated for JY's closure though? Eun ho even dedicated 1 special day for him as their last date & final…
People need a sign like: "grocery shop closed". Attach a badge to the neck of each character, saying "open". When they get closure, they turn the badge over and it says: "closed". 😆
I'm conflicted.. On one hand I love the cinematography, the atmosphere of the drama. There are many beautiful…
When she say she was never happy, I think she talk about the moment when she tried to be Hyeri during one month. You can rewatch the scene, and the conclusion is she was happy when she was in couple with HyeonO. We then see a moment of happy couple life.
Ep 11 is dedicated for JY's closure though? Eun ho even dedicated 1 special day for him as their last date & final…
JY and everyone go on closure. Even Min Young has a closure. And HyeHyeon closure: total fail, even after Ju-Yeon breaks-up, he doesn't care about her. Hey, are people really watching this drama? 🙄
Looking at the comments, I won't be surprised if the MDL rating eventually drops to the 6+ range.
We can feel the frustration. 😆 However, many of that was predictable? Well, maybe not Ep11 cliffhanger, but else. It doesn't matter, one of my fav drama is rated 6,9. 😉
To the person here (two world season 2?) who has been noting the colours, lights, etc in this show. You may want…
Hi. I forgot to look for songs or even BTS. I'll take a look at this. But here, I think you speak about a song not in the drama. So a musical from 2008? I've no way to know as I dislike musicals and never watch.
About your last point: I'm not sure to say it in the right way in english, but it's based on CG Jung work (that is empirical and not related to MBTI), about autonomous psychological complexes. Not exactly multiples personnality as we remains conscious when they act. But are indeed moments when personnality switch to something else. It's like different softs are in a big one.
