In this short scene, there isn't a shot when she look at them directly (I mean, they are never both in the same shot). At a point, her gaze is lower, and another (shot with CCW), she look in the wrong direction.
SO... Unless someone say me to look again, I saw nothing wrong at first watching, because there is nothing wrong. There are already tons of scenes when she try to look at the ghosts, even we she know (and we know) she can't see them. It's just for them to have the feeling she speak to them.
The props did also a great job, to put the digital box in the scene, when we almost don't even have the time to see it, or we don't think to look at it. At first watching, I missed the detail.
The second male lead is so lovely I wonder how they'll resolve that she should be with the 1ML? Will he (a) finally…
It's pretty obvious. To her, SML is the handsome guy a teenage girl can dream up. Like the pictures of a kpop band hanging on her bedroom walls. The ML is the real man she can meet, with of course friction and deep feeling, not just a daydream.

Just my opinion, huh? I don't want you to be disapointed. Just I watched a lot of rom-com and also melodramas. In melo, the romance is much more strong, some of them, it's real love stories. But many rom-com are very light about love feeling. The way the audience feel it. It's not a question of chemistry but more how the story can build the feeling. When there are no obstacles, conflicts or dramatic situations, the romance is often more light, fluffy, in rom-com. And in SFNO, I can see they take the time, it's not easy from the start, there is some dramatic situations too. So I feel it better.
Well, for us it looks like he's stupid to go fighting the bad guy by himself. But my guess it supposed to be like…
As you speak about that. I'm always doubtfull about dramas from manhwa. Ok, I liked some. But just look at Again my life, total downfall. The beginning was good, but this drama goes nowhere since so many episodes now. I prefer stories 100% from screenwriters.
