On Bring It On, Ghost • Feb 16, 2022
My favorite drama with Kim So Hyun. Here, she's very different from her other roles.
She go into full comedy mode, cute girl making lot of aegyo.
Just watch the first 5 minutes to see how good is the script, we are hooked from the start.
Then there is a good pace. However, don't be too demanding about fantasy rules.
If I would rewrite the logline, it would be :
"A ghost hunter is haunted by an adorable ghost girl."

Except the too much over-the-top first episode, it's slice of life drama very good at comedy.
Comedy from characters or the interaction between the 2 leads.
The side love story is also funny and welcome.
Ah, and also ML mother... gosh, worst wife in the world!!

Title Vagabond
Also, if you have watched enough thriller genre per se, you know what's going on pretty much from the getgo. Like…
It's frustating maybe, but the drama is still worth watching like that.

many commented that it is boring. I think the problem is because those people start watching with high expectation,…
No high expectation, it's deadly boring with crazy mistakes like no-conflict, low goal-scenes sometimes insanely long with trivial chit chat, no rendering, no plot, repetitives scenes (let's talk and eat), people perpetualy speaking about other people not in the room (the way situations resolve instead to show it), worst about people you don't know, or don't remember who they are because they were barely introduced, making that so exhausting to follow, draining attention for nothing.
BUT, the drama can appeal to some audience because of affect to the characters, friendship, some good feeling vibes, and the ship game. Also because some realistic aspect of hospital, as there was investigations from the writer and training for the actors, even we could say an hospital where all students have a crush for the professors isn't real.

I don't write reviews but I want to share some thoughts ☺️I thought it would be decent sci-fi, it was more…
English often has only two words, science fiction or fantasy. In my language there is also a term that would be "fantastic", which means something abnormal, paranormal, or that leaves a doubt. It fits for this story, whose concept is reminiscent of Twilight Zone type stories. Logic is not excluded, on the contrary, the high concept has its own logic, even explainable in a rational way. It is therefore a fantastic situation where doubt is always present when it comes to the supranormal aspect. There is only one element that breaks this, it's in the last episode (I won't say more to avoid spoilers), and indeed there it becomes paranormal.

Yeah, background music too are so good.

Reset.. the cdrama or the kdrama ?
It's thriller too. Crazy complex one, you understand nothing. The beginning of the episodes have a "previously on..." montage. This montage is so over the place, full of twists and shocking events but you don't know why, that you lol a lot when watching that. What is this crazy story?! Sometimes I rewatch just the beginning sequence when I wan't to laugh.

Sometimes, a drama looks like nothing, and seems long and slow. And yet!
Love In Sadness: the most suffocating of all the dramas. A feeling of not being able to breathe almost from the beginning to the end. That's why I watched the episodes as fast as possible, to be relieved of the permanent anguish of the main situation.

From your list :
Flower of Evil!!! As enjoyable than mouse but different. Suspens scene on the balcony,, episode 3. Woo!

Kairos! Great!! One the very few one drama that contains one true multi contextual scene (a key scene where fantastic concept trigger high emotion in a smart way). It's a scene about a support character, a bad guy, about the way his love story end.

lol 8.1 is already generous but I agree. It must be the LMH fans. I actually like him maybe out of nostalgia for…
I add time or motivation to watch few dramas, so at least I connect so I can update my watchlist, as it help me a lot to track what I watched. 2 very good dramas: Flower of Evil and Mouse (the story structure was so great in that, about that specific point it's a masterpiece). I MP you for informations.

i watched it, its a solid 7/10 i like how they portrayed the ugly side of mental illnesses through kang in wook…
Yeah, and if we look more, all characters suffer from mental illnesses in their own way. Explaining many weird decisions and feeling. It's not a story about what it should be in a ideal world with some expected morality. It's great for audience liking somewhat twisted stories.
