So, FL did what people here were dreaming she does (spoiler below).

Starts with a flashback of the real Hyeri as a teenager, scolded by EunHo.

01:18 - Interesting bus journey to the forest.
A little tip: Hyeri's face was shown at the very beginning, but it was hard to see that she was on the bus. So the previous flashback is Hyeri remembering her sister.
The girls gossiping about her: she's never spoken to them in 4 years. Hyeri is asocial.

02:10 - Continuation of journey, forest reception centre. Night time.
The students celebrate. Hyeri is left alone.
Sees firefly lights... Follows them...
... to the entrance of the forest... She enters.
Arrives in a strange field, with a kind of sun.
Superb cinematography.

04:40 - Her smartphone rings. Left at the refuge.
Then her strange semi-oniric journey continues through the forest.
She has passed the light (a kind of sun) which is now at her back, rather than in front of her.
And now the field is empty, she's lost.

At EunHo's apparently. Her smartphone rings at 5:21, HyunO. No one answers.

How long has it been since the last episode?
Lots of mail dropped off in front of EunHo's house.
In a way, EunHo has disappeared, as has Hyeri.

Ji-On and a girl other than EunHo. JinA ?

08:56 - Ji-On + HyunO.
He complains that his partner is hitting on him.
HyunO hasn't heard anything from EunHo.

After Shin Joon gives HyunO a show...
12:00 - HyunO says that EunHo is absent but hasn't resigned.
She's just taken all her days off.
She's been away for a month.

12:56 - Parking.
WHAT??! Hyeri hasn't come to work at the car park either?!!!
EunHo has 100% disappeared!

14:00 - JuHyeon at home. Military film.
Checks his smartphone about EunHo.
Replaces the military film with EunHo's show by the sea. Nice that this scene didn't get lost in the shuffle.
A strong meaning here, it's as if it replaces his previous goal in life (the army).
Everything indicates that JuHyeon wants to be interested in EunHo as much as Hyeri...
He also tries to phone her, to no avail.

15:20 - Media. Ji-On + ChooRong.
(the girl HyeonO was supposed to marry, but it fell through)
She says she has feelings for HyunO too.
GAG! He comes in and hears this. ^^

17:00 - ChooRong and HyeonO in the garden.
He tells her he has no feelings for her.
18:07 - The director does a special shot.

19:35 - At the grandmothers' house.
I have a hunch that the grandmother with cancer will die before the end of the drama.
A guy arrives / Flashback.
The husband who'd left after a stroke.
The guy reminds me of a family version of Clown Jae.
Drama filled without much exciting stuff at this point.

23:30 - JuHyeon at his boss's house.
Asks if he knows HyeonO.
Then wanders around the car park...

25:35 - JuHyeon at home. Motivated to box.

26:20 - Yeah, he's looking to meet HyeonO.
They chat... Finally an exciting scene.
JuHyeon tells him that she has a dissociative disorder.
Woo! HyeonO is shocked.
JuHyeon determined to meet EunHo and not just Hyeri.
A strong clue:
- EunHo broke up with HyeonO.
- But Hyeri didn't break up with JuHyeon.
Which puts JuHyeon at the top of the list!
All it takes now is for him to start socializing with EunHo too.
Plus, he's really worried about EunHo's health, and attacks HyeonO about how he doesn't seem to be.
Ouch! That's heavy stuff!

35:30 - HyeonO remembers...
Details about EunHo being ill.

36:10 - So he goes to see the therapist.

She's afraid of the rumours about her and Chief Seo.
She convinces him by saying she saw EunHo !

She is hit by a car. Harsh!
Creepy hairstyle. Like Hyeri.
She takes off running.

55:00 - HyeonO at the office.
Not answering phone. Hm.
Clown Jae arrives.
He really should answer the phone. Um...
57:40, HyeonO breaks down.
If he answered the phone, this wouldn't be happening.
AH FINALLY, he answers!!!
Of course, it's about EunHo.
CUT, we don't know what.

59:40 - JuHyeon inquires about EunHo's life. Disappearance of her sister, etc.
Really, he had plenty of time to do that before, lol!

I feel like the last two episodes could have been done in one.

A bit disappointing.

Episode 9 - Live watching (See Spoiler below)

I'm in episode 8. So far this drama is good.
It adds to the classic "cop undercover" some spicy and original situations.
Kind of situations making you to squeeze your ass, but in a different way. 😅

Ji Chang Wook acting is perfect. Rock solid. He stands the role and the whole drama.
Wi Ha Joon takes more time to convince, and I feel the actor light for this kind of role.
Special mention to BIBI, as a pretty poisoned beauty.
Special mention to Lee Shin-Ki, jumping out of screen as knife-expert cold killer.

I'm not sure of that, but thank to someone to confirm:
I saw a comment on X, someone who could check shots on smartphone dates and:
It seems the whole EunHo depression situation in episode 8 was during a whole month.

It's so late, the only outcome of this drama is probably the heroine's suicide.
Many of the audience will be happy: she doesn't end with one of the guys. 😅

It's something I didn't like about episode 8. I feel like the writer had a schedule about episode content. And of course should have. But couldn't make it the best.

When I think about logic, consequences. How is it possible that Ju-Yeon didn't learn how Eun-Ho spirals? He should be curious about her. And more, her failure on TV news became something big, anyone know in the media. But for facility, the writer put that under the carpet. Like if people at Media L aren't curious to what happen to their concurrent. And anyway, Ju-Yeon should be curious about EunHo, even if he doesn't like her and like only Hyeri.

You see what I mean? The writer needed EunHo to be alone during few days, to do the depression/falldown arc, with nothing to interfere with, could be Ju-Yeon or HyeonO.

Anything in any drama is frustrating. It's because the writer cause frustration that you are mad at watching what comes next, supposed to dissipate your frustration. Just, some writers add more frustration until the end. Some are even able to give you a good drama, but leaving you frustrated after the end. loooooooooooooooooooool!

It's normal. Trust the writer. Continue watching and think.
(yeah this drama is a bit painful and requires the audience to think more than usual, lol!)

Don't worry, even if she ends as a bum:
She will still have the newest samsung smartphone.

I was about to drop on episode 1, but episode 2 made my day.
Since, I'm enjoying a lot the drama. Not an easy one.

If HyeonO steals the bike, audience will really hate him definitely. 😂

No, it's just he comes too late.
Hyeri bike is gone, because.... ahah, obviously... Hyeri took it and is gone with.
Later we see EunHo is gone, not at her job, not at home.
We just see the diary where it's said "now I take life in hand" by Hyeri.

Ah yeah, it's true we have the feeling she quit.
But nothing about a letter of resignation.
Then, she will have problem to pay for her life.
Hyeri job makes no money! 🤨

I'm curious to know if Hyeri will go to EunHo job?!

The dialogue does a bit of exposition to tell us who she is. She's been working for the grandmas for 7 years. Her older sister used to look after the grandmas. LOL, that's expo by the ladleful!
The main point: she's ready to take care of the grandmas. She just wants to be part of the family. Arranged marriage.
He's not giving his answer now, but...

He seems to have said ‘yes’, given the reaction of a colleague.

AAgghhrargharhg. The writer breaks our nerves.

‘It's just me he didn't want to marry’.

20:10 - Flashback with colleague.
Wondering why he broke up with her.
‘Dear viewers, this is how I became a fool’.

21:10 - Title: Dear viewers.
‘I hate myself’

21:25 - Car park, Day. Ju-Yeon arrives.
Hyeri absent. He remembers, coffee scene.

22:26 - At his desk. He too is absent-minded.
He invites HyeHyeon to eat some Udon. She can't believe it.

25:07 - Restaurant, night.
Ju-Yeon+HyeHyeon, eating udon.
He regains his confidence and thinks that Hyeri will come back.
He is ready to be nice to EunHo. So she let Hyeri be.
He states "I've only one heart to give" (to only one)

27:35 - EunHo in the metro. Day.
Flashback EUnHo+HyeonO, day.
Back to the metro. Flashback next, night.
He has lost his pendant and is looking for it in a courtyard.
He cries because he can't find it. Surprising.
Back to the metro. Flashback continues.

Close-up on EunHo's absent eyes.
Another flashback, at home.
35:20, back on the metro.
Will she miss her station?
Her smartphone rings, she doesn't notice.

35:40 - Office, day.
EunHo types another apology letter.
Because she was late.
LOL, she did miss her station.

36:42 - Scolding in the boss's office.
Ayaaa. The episode does everything it can to destroy her.
He wants her to resign from everything.
Plus, heavily insults her ‘you're ugly’.
‘Why did HyeonO quit 9pm for a loser like you?’

37:35 - In front of EunHo's residence, night.
HyeonO is waiting in his car.
He opens the compartment with the pendant.
Would be willing to take it out? And take a step towards EunHo?
He closes it again.
No more details as the next scene takes place in the grandmother's house.

So the meaning I give to it is: maybe he could consider to meet EunHo too, not just Hyeri.

42:28 - HyeonO+EunHo on TV set.
Then she is fired from all the shows.

45:00 - Relaxation room. Eun-Ho+Ji-On.

47:50 - Eun-Ho at home.
Reads Hyeri's letters.
And the letters she sends to Hyeri.
Then she writes ‘I hate myself’.
Then writes something else, we don't see.

51:30 - Car park, daytime.
Ju-Yeon arrives. Hyeri is not there.

53:30 - Break-up staircase, night.
HyeonO remembers the break-up.
54:41, shot of the director, using a similar technique to the shot of the sun in the forest. Here, a street lamp splits its light into two rainbows.
HyeonO is halfway up the stairs.

54:50 - He goes to EunHo's house.
A shot of Hyeri's bike.
... which disappears in a blur.

A parcel for her, but she's away...

The episode is rather disappointing.
Angst, people thinking while looking sadly in the void, not a lot happens.
The destruction of EunHo's morale is well handled, but there's a lot of slowness around it.
Ju-Yeon doesn't put into practice what he says, meeting EunHo.
HyeonO had the opportunity to finish his explanation in another scene, but it doesn't happen.
This keeps us waiting for the cliffhanger.
Presaging Hyeri return.
Just a thing, I know it's a bit down to earth, but:
If EunHo is fired from her job, I don't see how her and Hyeri will continue.
