The plot and twists on this i feel are on level of W another parallel world story .I am still amazed that W worked…
TKEM's main problem was not to have the narrative quality of W (or even of any other drama). And also, not to offer a story that would be hectic quickly. Otherwise, indeed, it could have been a success. TKEM's problems of understanding and confusion unfortunately prevented me from appreciating the few plot-twists that take place in the last part of the drama. It's a pity because there was good potential. In fact, I made an analysis (never published) of the differences in narration between the two dramas. The precise reasons why certain elements work in one and not in the other. It was very instructive, I learned a lot by doing that.
What was the last good drama of lee minho? Boys over flowers?
City hunter is a good drama. I can't say LMH is at his best into it, but the drama is better than "legend of blue sea" or "the heirs". People often like very much "Faith", but I didnt watched that. Boy over flowers maybe good, but as I watched the original japanese drama, I didn't watch BOF. It was a good drama.
the characters and their relation dont feel natural also cinematography is too dramatic
There are certain artificial processes that distract attention (the vomit scene or others like it). This hinders immersion in the seriousness of the topics being discussed. I also find it difficult to regain dramatic intensity when certain elements are over-exaggerated. In a way, I find the cinematography not dramatic enough, and this is based on the canvas of rom-com.
It's a drama that catches me, but I'm forced to observe that episode 2 slows down a bit, and that I don't feel the enthusiasm of my favorite dramas (for now). Fortunately, there's a very good tension in some scenes between the two leads. Slightly erotic tension even, hum hum.
I can understand those that say this show is similar to HDL but I personally don't see & feel it (coming from…
The aesthetics of the drama and FL's style of dress have something in common. But the theme is very different. I hope that the ML of "psycho is ok" won't be a flat and limp guy like the one in HDL!
❝A huge part of this drama is the role reversal of the stereotypical kdrama dynamic between the male leads on…
For now, I don't think so. You could say that easely with a drama like "my fair lady", but not here. But I'm agree there is a reversal of stereotype because both FL and ML have psychic disorders, and you don't see that often in a drama. The story is about that first. It's difficult to foresee who save who. And the end of episode 2, it's rather the ML who is on the way to save FL, because he know her and is psycho-helper (she's the same of his first love). As both characters have psychic disorder, it could also work the other way. The characters would help each other, and it could be in a violent way, because they are attracted. To early for predicting all this...
The second episode stabilizes, and there are fewer burlesque scenes. There's good mood, and the potential for the sequel, with Yeon-Joo's branch office principle and company. The drama is quite fresh. The two main actors are very good, so it helps to bring it up a bit. Not so bad, not great either.
There are some good points about the script. The script takes the professional situation seriously. The multiple problems of this type of grocery store, cigarette sales, law, registration of receipts. And the guy doing the live show is not only funny, but credible enough. I can well imagine a very well-known shopkeeper giving advice to other professionals, on his web channel, with that tone of voice.
Last part of episode 1 is better. It look a bit like "Cleaning with passion". 1st episode was too much with forced comedy, but it became great after that. So I will watch ep 2 now.
I'm going on a little out of curiosity. I hope that artificial processes will stop a bit, because it doesn't work for comedy. On the other hand... the mother with the purple lipstick! :-D
Best role of her life. She's perfect into this.
And more beautiful than usual.
Difficult to make a choice.... Mmmh mh.. I think I prefer Yeon-joo a bit more.

Baddass girl trope, grotesque scenes...
I'm a little worried it's gonna turn into a sadomasochistic thing, too. ^^
Scene with the knife, if I remember correctly.
I have no sense of reality after TKEM. Any other drama sounds good. ^^
