Many people complain about "clichés" and OH!!, I do it too. 😂
"what's wrong with secretary Kim" is the perfect example that clichés can be used, aaaaand... if by some magic... you can make the drama good, well, it's good! Yeah, best example of a drama made by 100% clichés is still enjoyable to watch, even by myself! But clichés work because clichés are clichés because they work!

I could say the same about tropes. But tropes are just a higher meta level. Nothing can be written without tropes. OR, it looks like a strange experimentation from David Lynch: Eraserhead.

One of my favorite drama Miss Ripley (2011) is rated 6.6. 😅
People couldn't stand the FL, being ex-prostitute and a manipulative bitch. When I came to watch the drama for that, from true events! Only critic I put into that: they put a makjang feeling, when it's more social realism.

Only thing I can tell you for sure: DOAFF isn't must watch.
THEN, it's up to you. I rarely give indication to people like "don't watch this". I just give my honest feeling about dramas, and people take that as they want. I've no responsability beyond that. Everyone's free!

I saw dramas put in the dump by audience because "FL is indecisive and choose the wrong guy". Well, it makes me curious. It smells a hooking story with irrational feelings and lot of suffering. Yeah, I'm curious to watch that! Looks spicy. When same audience love "hospital playlist", the worst sluglish train wreck ever. I never trust anyone on MDL !! 😄

Except close friends with I share a lot of dramas, but just know this, everyone's different, and you can never meet someone with exact same tastes as you have. So, it's not worth it to be angry with people. 😚
