Okay I’ve never seen legitimate Korean BL be done.....like is this for real? Are they just going to dance around it or do they actually kiss and have romantic feelings for each other? Can someone please let me know so I don’t get my hopes up? Thank you. I’m waiting for subs and I’m excited to watch it.
First 8 episodes thoughts: 1. Slow-ish in the first 4-5 episodes, picks up and has gotten more exciting now. I agree that the start wasn’t too impressive but have patience! 2. Main leads romance is not good imo, but it doesn’t take away from the storyline which is still interesting 3. Not going to lie, we are dealing with parallel universes so it gets confusing at times but it’s all part of the intrigue 4. My favorite are the support characters, well acted and incorporated, I’ve become a fan of almost all of them 5. The main villain has been in the background and just now we are finally getting into the main conflict, so that took awhile to build. Hopefully all these dominoes they set up will make for an exciting climax. 6. I would recommend the drama, it’s not perfect but it keeps me engaged and excited about what will happen next. I’m enjoying it. It certainly does not deserve low ratings yet. I think those judgments should be reserved until the very end.
I’m on episode 16 and Arthur Chen’s acting is starting to get to me. It’s not very convincing and starting to get repetitive. And I don’t like Cheng xiao’s character she plays and wish they didn’t write in the romance plot. I’m going to continue it but there are more cliches and cheesy moments in this drama than I expected.
Definitely drawn in after watching ep. 1, but not a lot happened yet. Bummed out the series is only 6 eps? That’s way too short! I could watch Moonbin forever.
I love Moonbin and I’m so happy he got a main role. I really hope he’ll steadily progress his acting career because I love watching him on screen. Let’s hope they do this storyline justice because the trailer didn’t say too much. Fighting Binnie!
I haven’t started this drama yet as I was waiting for the right mood to strike since I heard it was a slower paced drama. But I just want to say I’m sad to hear it’s getting cut down. I didn’t know that could happen mid-season. Jung Hae-In is one of my favorite actors! Sad for all who worked on the project and I still want to watch it, I hope the story still stands even when being condensed.
ugh why am I not liking it like everyone else?this bores me to death...
I agree with you. I could already tell by episode 2 that the trailer was way more exciting than the drama. But I forced myself to finish because I didn’t want to judge hastily and I regret it. Everyone has different tastes though I guess.
I cannot reccomend this drama. I had to force myself to finish it. A few actors performances were pretty good (the decreased brother and his mother, and the FL’s father) but that’s all I can say was decent about the drama.
Of course this is my personal opinion, but the acting was pretty terrible and awkward. No chemistry between any characters and they could have chosen a way better FL. The sets and costumes were low budget, the plot was so-so, music nothing notable and it really wasn’t worth watching even though the premise and trailer really had me intrigued. There are so many well produced dramas out there, don’t bother with this one imho.
Good: The acting was great, the cinematography, and the colors/backgrounds were pleasing. Bad: A tad too long of a film and it lagged at times, unexplored relationship btw MC and gf bothered me as did some other things that didn’t get fleshed out fully, and ultimately I wasn’t really moved by the revelation/ending. Bottom line: By no means a bad film, it deserves a chance. I’ll check out the director and actors’ other works. But it was not a satisfying film for me.
It’s been a while since I’ve watched a film this good. I wish to see more Chinese films like this one. It was fantastic and I’ll be looking into the actors and director. I’m glad I accidentally came across it.
I do agree there was some things not clarified by the end and some confusion to the plot direction. But it was still a very good drama and enjoyable for me. The ost, the emotions, and the acting did it for me.
Really enjoyable as a comedy for the most part,, but it got a little ridiculous at the end. I wish the writing was a bit more clever and had some edge too it. I felt no suspense in the last two episodes, so I’m a little disappointed. But I’m very happy I discovered Park Sung Hoon.
Park Sung Hoon. He’s one of the finest men to ever grace my eyeballs and I cannot believe I didn’t even know he existed before this drama. I’ll always be grateful for discovering him here. I want to watch all of his work.
Okay...everyone was not exaggerating when they said you’d be watching each episode through tears T~T . I’ve never watched anything with the main male actor before and I must say I’m really moved by his acting.
