Can't believe it's going to air in the same year and that it's only going to take a few months to produce. That's great! I look forward to it. Meanwhile, I've been waiting on several C-dramas for years.
Hilarious! Great show to just have on the background and pick up your mood. The acting was quite good. I didn’t like a few episodes where they make a certain character act moody and ooc, but everything else was better than expected. Give it a try.
Okay I came for Leo but Liu Yu Ning playing Hao Du really came out of nowhere and wrecked me hard. Like he is really a hidden gem and I hope to see more of his work. He did fantastic playing a reserved character with expressive eyes. I hope he gains more popularity and support.
I got curious about this and watched it. It is so hilarious especially if you are familiar with BL manga. The ML's story doesn't conclude and it leaves off on a cliffhanger to give room for a season 2. Still, it was very enjoyable and cute/funny on it's own. Watch it if you need a pick me up.
I'm curious about this drama and a big fan of Yuuki but the synopsis was not very clear. If anyone has watched it, please leave your thoughts and if you'd recommend it. Ty!
I really enjoyed this movie. There wasn't any huge drama in it but it still had several subdued emotional moments. It's a soft movie and it wasn't cliché. I enjoyed the cinematography of the countryside which felt removed from my own city life. I've been a fan of Yuuki for some time and I think he did a good job with his character. I look forward to rewatching it in the future. Please give it a chance if you're thinking about watching it.
So the first two episodes. The color rush scenes have me laughing so hard. I’m having fun watching it but it was really hard to take seriously in the way it was directed and edited. The dialogue and pacing is a little unnatural and feels a tad rushed. I think it’s sort of done on purpose since they have to try to fit a lot in such short episodes. But I’m really hoping the best for this drama and the leads look good together. The story concept is so interesting I wish they had more time to develop it more. Here’s to hoping the story really takes off next episode.
I get that it’s far from a perfect drama, but I don’t think it’s as bad as some of these comments make it out to be. I’ve binged it till the recent episode and found it to be entertaining and the acting decent. Story could be neater but I’m interested in all the younger characters’ storylines and want to see where they all go. It feels like a pretty light drama in comparison to more serious wushu and that works for me too.
Binged this all in one day. I'm pleasantly surprised that it was this good, well acted and produced. Trigger warnings for gore, death, suicide, murder, attempted rape, etc. A lot of mature elements so do not watch if you cannot handle bloody deaths and psychological trauma. I'm hoping for a second season to finish the story.
Just finished binging this. I became a recent fan of Xiao Zhan so I watched this to cover more of his works. If you are the same, then FYI if felt like he was in around half the episodes and he has a small amount of screentime. Still, it was a nice role and I enjoyed his parts. This is a very fun drama and I was highly impressed with Leo Wu's acting since he's only 18-19? while filming and he's clearly well trained. There were imperfect parts to the plot and drama that still bother me, but I went in with no expectations and ended up enjoying this a lot. The ending left me feeling like they have barely scratched the surface of the bigger plot they laid out, so it would torture me so much if they don't make more seasons. I'm sad to read the comments saying the ML won't reprise his role...so I'm not sure how much that will affect things because he fit so well into the character. I'm really curious to read the source material novel now.
