i'm on ep 3 n the sml has an annoying face and emits creepy fibes. Despite being a pleasant character so far
I feel like the SML is a very one dimensional character who just is in the story to like the female lead, like a puppy dog all the time, its kinda irritating.
I don't understand why people are so mad at the Arab thing? Korea isn't like America where they are aware of other cultures, because Korea isn't that multicultural. It's not like it was completely a negative portrayal of the Arab prince either, it was more banter/friendship.
I learned Korean to get rid of this problem. It was worth the time I spent. I suggest you learn too.
Bro learning korean takes like 5 years to get fluent and that's with pracitcing every day. If you're not actually going to live in korea then learning korean is pointless.

I agree. However you also have to remember, that the west is more than America. I think often Koreans assume America consists of the majority of the west, but the truth is even in the west, cultures vary so much that it's almost equally as big of a difference between Korean culture compared to american culture. For example, I immigrated from South Africa to New Zealand, and the cultural differences were striking. The language was the only thing that was the same. The food was different, people talked differently, different attitudes, etc it took me years to adjust, and we're both in the west. But I do agree that Americans/hollywood has a sense of superiority not just to Asian countries but to the rest of the world.

To be fair, it's not a "west thing" that eating squid alive is bad, its the scientific fact that squid are very intelligent animals who actually feel pain, slowly, as you eat them. In comparison to cows, chickens, etc, they're killed rather quickly with minimal pain. That's why regardless of your culture, eating squid alive isn't exactly ethical. Some things simply transcend cultural differences.
