This hasn't been done. If you notice you have to even divorce when engaged to someone. Women are like chattel and really had no rights.

Yes those scenes were amazing and beautiful. Loved every moment.♥

The break up episodes there is a lot of growth for our characters so I would watch for sure.♥

ML was a reluctant suitor. He waited too long to realize his feelings. When he did she had left him. Su Xiao had terminal cancer. Her brother was her protector and thought ML didn't care about her. Not realizing he did but was a step or two too late. When ML met Su Xiao's brother ML didn't realize this was her brother and not her second suitor. ♥

1. sort of (the scholar in her village who isn't who he seems.) 2. don't know yet. As of episode 10 they are drawing together. 3. Yes, a ton. The emperor is suspicious because her father opposes him. He doesn't know she actually is clueless to her father's plots. << That's what makes it fun. She also was lied to by her father and made it seem that the marriage was voluntary on the Emperor's side. << it wasn't. This plot is lots of fun. Enjoying it so far. ♥

ML ex has died. He can never see her again.

This drama has a lot of growth including for SML as well as ML. FL influence on them both made a big difference. FL gained confidence more and more through each encounter she had with the other characters. I really enjoyed this series for that reason. I love character growth. ♥

Loving this drama. Cute and full of intrigue. The Queen wins. Once she gets her footing and wins everyone's adoration including the Emperor. ♥

That's what I love about Chinese dramas/culture they embrace their roots. Here where I live my culture is over run with so many other cultures it's now become undefinable and not thought of as an actual culture. ♥

I have a hunch the song he gave her to play will cause a stir. He is setting her up. She is always so spaced out. ♥

I loved that scene with the blossoms floating down from the bridges. I thought it was romantic and one of the most romantic scenes I've seen for a long time. ♥

I agree it's illogical. Almost painful to watch now. Hate FL it's like she doesn't belong there at all but is like a bad penny and keeps turning up. I think her part could have been better written. The whole beheading plot was so obvious it hurt. Another part that could be better written. It's a good story but butchered in script.
