The preview makes me livid. Like, evil step mother has got to go. I'm glad Eun Gyeol is in that house to help her. That lady is terrible. I never understand how people can be that crazy. Hoping that even if nothing crazy changes in the future that at least Cheong Ah's family was able to be in a better place after Eun Gyeol went back to the past and pushed forward when his parents met. Really hoping that with Yi Chan earlier in her life that she was able to live a happier life and maybe continue having at least her father in her side.
I don't dislike Eun Yu but what annoys me is that her plan just doesn't make sense.. now it's all moot point but…
point taken and honestly, she probably didn't think that far and thought that as long as she could somehow get this relationship to work that itd change the future, forgetting that she herself ISN'T actually Se Gyeong and so it would just end up being this odd time in Yi Chan's life where there was a "Se Gyeong" until there wasnt and she was in the US this entire time LOL and like I said to the other response to my post, she's not a perfect character and her plans wouldn't have worked, but she just doesn't frustrate me as she does with some of the other watchers.
I think she adds a lot of joy into the show with her personality and helps to balance out the characters, because no lie, without her I'd find Yi Chan annoying and short tempered with how often he shouts in the show. but now we have 2 people that does this shouting thing and it kind of creates a nice balance lol 😆
but alas, I just want the couples to all get together with their respective other halves and we can get to some fluffy romance HAHAHAH and also go back to the future cause I want to see how it changes the father son relationship
for cheong ah Eun yu is still segyoung who said to her that he does not like Yichan. And the true segyoung knows…
honestly, yeah, I feel that and i feel bad for cheong ah since she was happy with her blooming relationship with Yi Chan. but I also understand that that's almost quite impossible to find out who her mom knows and their relationships ESPECIALLY cheong ah since they weren't even friends, really. her mom was just really amicable with her and liked her even though they didn't hang out. if she could connect the dots from the future, she did, like with that one friend her mom ran into. but she pretty much spent most of her life in the US with her mom and I doubt her mom told her anything about her past except the stuff about her first love. I swear if I was sent to my moms past and tried living as her, I'd miserably fail as she also lived in another country as a youth.
overall, I'm not saying her character is perfect, cause she's not. but I don't find her as frustrating as some of the other watchers on this site. 🙃
lol I feel like I'm in the minority for liking Eun Yu. like what has she done so wrong that has people so bothered by her? Similarly to Eun Gyeol, she came back to the past with a goal (getting her mom together with her first love) because she thinks that would prevent her misery in the future or I guess end with her not existing at all.
Does she know that Cheong Ah likes Yi Chan? I honestly forgot. But if she doesn't then everything she's doing really isn't with ill intent. she's trying to accomplish her goals as much as Eun Gyeol is trying to accomplish his.
Both their goals wouldn't have been possible if Yi Chan was the first love, but seems like he really might not be after all. So, the two Euns are free to fall for each other and have both their goals satisfied since Eun Yu's goal is moot point if her father is her mother's first love. and with that thought in mind, Eun Yu no longer needs to set herself up with Yi Chan to change the future. And that will also leave Yi Chan to open up to Cheong Ah if Eun Yu just outright rejects him so he doesn't need to dwell on this crush he has.
I'm sure the two Euns will find out about each other soon. I hope most past things get wrapped up next week or by Episode 15 so we can see them all in the future again with the 2 Euns meeting each other in future timeline.
okay, just because he prevented that accident, I wonder what fate will do to re-align the time line. I feel like with these time travel shows, just because you prevent one thing it hardly means much since it normally causes a ripple effect and if you're trying to get back to the present, something else has to happen. at the end of all this, I don't see his father (yi chan) getting his hearing back. I feel like, if anything, it just creates a deep bond between the father and son where the father will be proud of him regardless of what Eun Gyeol chooses and he'll have less of a inferiority complex due to his disability.
but I'm also down to be wrong and he goes back to a future where he and his dad can hear and speak and his brother and mother are deaf.
lastly, ugh, so close with that squid game reference. I knew one of them would slip sooner or later and I really want Eun Gyeol and Eun Yu to figure out that they're both from the present LOL cause it's kind of funny that Eun Yu thinks she likes so 40+ year old man and Eun Gyeol likes ahjumma LMAO
he had an affair and still to a family photo with them? damnn he's ballsy lol wonder if that's really how the story is gonna go cause you're right, he had an eldest son
I feel like most people are enjoying the mom and dad interaction while I'm really enjoying the future kids romance AKA Eun Gyeol and Eun Yu. And while we saw the noose earlier in the show indicating she was seriously contemplating her own life, it's even worst when you find out the reason behind it. I'm sorry but how can a mother say that to her own child while attending a funeral where another child took their own life. No wonder she has panic attacks when's she tries to play the cello.
I think that it's really sweet that he really cares for her and even thought it was weird and tried to stop himself from kissing her. Though... he failed the second time haha Honestly, if it was the real Se Gyeong, I don't think he would've fell for her. From what we saw of young Se Gyeong, she had a much more serious demeanor and focused on being successful attitude than Eun Yu. So, they really wouldn't have worked together even if they liked each other. I feel like young Se Gyeong wouldn't have sacrificed her life for a first love type of thing; hence why she is where she is in the future.
Mom and dad are also cute. I love how all 4 know or are starting to learn sign language. Make me want to learn it too!!
I wonder if Cheong Ah's life gets any better compared to her future self where she cut off ties with everyone. I hope that she still retained a little bit of contact with her dad. He seemed like he really cared and listened to Eun Gyeol in order to see her smile again. He's inattentive and lacks the motivation to raise his own daughter but it's nice to see that he really does just want to see her happy. I don't know if I missed it, but is she an illegitimate daughter? Did he have her and then married the other lady for his company? like why did her mom get sent away when she was younger. Overall, that lady, her mother in law just seems like she's torturing Cheomg Ah out of jealousy. It doesn't look like the father loved her especially if he's not even in the country most of the time and instead travels for work.
it seems like mom and dad are still going to fall in love with each other and it seems like Se Gyeong will fall for Eun Gyeol or have a crush on him before going back to her "planned" life? and I assume when Eun Gyeol goes back to the future, Se Gyeong's daughter will pretty much be the splitting image of her mother since they're both played by Seol In Ah. so, that might be his actual loveliness? lol kind of weird but.... meh. LOL so far, still enjoying the story. wishing the mom and son meet soon and she's able to have someone to sign to and understands her without just yelling at her to speak *cough* dad *cough* LOL
edit: I definitely missed the Se Gyeong is not Se Gyeong and it's her daughter in the past with Eun Gyeol part LMAO clearly un-observant or not paying full attention if that's the case.
A well deserved win for our Seokjin team! Well done Seokjin, Shiwon, Dongjae and Gulliaume! You guys made the…
darn that ruined that ship. didn't know she was married because yes, their chemistry was definitely there. haha seok Jin and his team's dynamic overall were super sweet.
well-deserved win! was the person I rooted for and honestly the only person that relied on themselves for every game. he joined alliances, but his own smarts and wits led to his win! congrats!!
also, that high low poker game really weeded out the weaker players. I almost wished they had done that earlier in the show instead of having so many games that you could win but having others support you. Dong Joo, Seok Jin and Orbit well deserved their top 3 status.
I actually love this drama so far!! But I gotta admit, I was so confused when I started watching episode 3 as I didn't realize they were telling the story lines in parallel with each other. (I obviously didn't read the synopsis lol)
I'm so curious as to how his father lost his his hearing/voice and also what happened to the relationships with those around them. Choi Se Gyeong already told us that she went to study abroad so we know why she didn't keep in touch with them and I assume his father's grandma passed away. So, I guess all that's left would be his mother step family. But it seems like she never had a good relationship with them. So, yeah. I guess I'm curious as to how his father lost his hearing and voice.
caught up to episode 9 and am loving it!! Can't wait for the rest of the episodes. I'm definitely with Seok Jin…
I don't know why I can't edit my comments anymore. but I should also just say that as annoying as I find Orbit, the dude is smart. like him and Seok Jin are the people I think have the highest chances of winning if the rest of the games are solo challenges. the rest have all somehow relied on others to win. he also was clearly the best at the scales game when both Dong Joo and Seok Jin dropped the ball.
caught up to episode 9 and am loving it!! Can't wait for the rest of the episodes. I'm definitely with Seok Jin on this. it's a competition, so collaboration is expected but that doesn't mean you should try to save everyone. when you have a group of 8 against 4, that's just unfair. I mean, they were obviously threatened because the 4 person alliance was really strong. seok Jin, Guillaume, Dong Jae, and shi won were obviously all strong contenders. but the way they got eliminated was just undeserving. it wasn't even their skills that made them lose but because peer pressure for Dong Jae and then group mentality for Gulliame. aside from Seok Jin and Shi Won, I do like Dong Joo. she also understood that it was a competition and you can't just try to save everyone. there were times where I was annoyed busy her but overall, she's the best aside from the 2 from the original 4 alliance. Orbit is just annoying to me. if I was part of this game, I feel like at first I'd be okay with him leading or helping but after a round or 2 I'd find a new alliance because you can't help everyone in a competition. you will end up harming those you're trying to help (like seungkwan for yeon woo). and sorry, but yeon woo should've been eliminated awhile back as there just wasn't much contribution. there's a reason she was in prison twice already so as much as I felt bad, seok Jin made the logical choice. why would he risk sending yeon woo + someone else to jail if he could make it so he and shi won could go to prison and get to the hidden safe.
overall, rooting for Seok Jin. I don't even think he went overboard by eliminating Yeon Woo. they never had an alliance in the 1st place. he did use Joon Bin, but let's be real, the dude has had his fair moments of playing "dirty" or smack talking another player, so I'm not feeling sorry for anyone at this point.
now on ep 26 and I can never get over how scorned women are so vile in Chinese dramas. like why are yalls so obsessed to a single man that does not love you and then when he wrongs you, you kill his wife, 30,000 soldiers that are collaterL as you try to kill his son. like......... I can't imagine killing the husband unless he was an abusive husband but this lady out here just killing everyone. another show also had the empress dowager kill thousands, I think Legend of Anle. it's crazy to me that in contrast to a smart, independent women they have to have this evil old lady as the villain.
and I knew the sister was suss. she was just way too nice
I'm on Episode 18 and it's pretty hilarious that the dad has so many daughters he doesn't even recognize her. LMAO yet her "mother" does. at least there's not evil parents in the show... yet, they're just silly. well, Lord Ding's "mother" is evil.
I think she adds a lot of joy into the show with her personality and helps to balance out the characters, because no lie, without her I'd find Yi Chan annoying and short tempered with how often he shouts in the show. but now we have 2 people that does this shouting thing and it kind of creates a nice balance lol 😆
