This is definitely a wait for all the episodes and binge type of show. If I had started it earlier and had to wait each week for the next episode, I probably would've lost interest and dropped it. But since this is the last week, I started it and it's a fun watch when you can fast forward since most episodes are out. Not that it isn't a good watch, but I've found that I've been fast forwarding quite a bit this year, maybe I'm having k-drama fatigue or maybe some of these writers are having 2020 fatigue cause all these dramas start off great and then suddenly either the characters act of character or seem to have lost all thought process... who knows what's going on. But it's sad since I feel like quite a fewo shows had an amazing cast and/or plot but the writing/ directing really failed. Sorry not sorry to Start Up, RoY, Private Lives, DDSSLLS, and maybe this depending on how it ends, I guess.

I know that some Jipyeong haters (especially the illogical ones on Twitter) are having a field day picking on…
Lol, he legit called her after and said it wouldn't be too late to chase after him to clarify. Do San also called her and she chose not to pick up. So, you're right, they're picking at crumbs.

Title Start-Up
What started as a drama with lots of potential started going through the same kdrama tropes and headed downhill. As much as I want to like the drama, there are just too many things unaddressed or swept under the rug to instead highlight our destined end game couple. Their meetings were also blatantly contrived through "coincidences" or "destiny" to have them back in each other's lives again. If there's no other way to have them meet without making it feel so forced, maybe they shouldn't be endgame, Ms. Screenwriter. Also, why does it have the be SDM's failure that brings them back together.. lol she has been working well on her career for 3 years but then all of a sudden she has to fck up when NDS is in town? She also puts herself down quite a bit which makes no sense to me. It's not as though when she met NDS, he was a hotshot. He was the head of a failing start up with no business plan and went through every thing she did to be where he is.. they're at the same level so why believe you are bogging him down? If you feel less than anyone, it should be HJP, but he wouldn't ever make you feel that way. There's too many moments where it feels like the characters act out of character, which takes away some of the joy of watching the show. At this point, NDS and SDM's romance is the least of my interests. I just want HJP to have his happy ending and In Jae to shove it to her ex-step-family's face by succeeding and becoming bigger than them. Only 1 week left!

lol .... no one tell In Jae that her grandmother's eyesight deteriorates for 3 years :-)writers were probably…
Wait random encounters between HJP and SDM? Not SDM and NDS? cause I thought most of the scenes with HJP and SDM were pretty natural. They work in the same building and he comes over to hang out with grandma. Seems pretty normal to me LOL I found the NDS and SDM unnatural lol too many coincidences/fate moments

For me personally, I'm very disturbed by all the wrong messages this drama is sending. The dishonesty, the self…
I agree, if this was meant to be female centric, it certainly fell flat. I was more annoyed than I thought I would be that they had to use a 'failure' in Dal Mi's pretty smooth sailing professional career to get Do San back in her life. A lot of the things things that happened in ep 13 & 14 were too contrived and forced, I felt. Too many "coincidences" disguised as fate/destiny whatever you want to call it to get Do San back in Dal Mi's life. And yes, the triangle became the focus point and ilthe show lost its charming background story about start ups and corporate struggle. I love In Jae and wished she had more screentime. And same, just want to see the end, though I'm sure I already know 75% of it with how predictable its been.

Is it bad that I thought the best part of this entire series was the sizzling chemistry between Sophia and Edward? lol honestly wished that they had more scenes together or actually I would've preferred them to be the main story. If I'm not wrong, Edward was trying to seek revenge for his parents but his affection for Sophia was almost enough to make him forget about it that's why he left her and returned to GK. Even then, as he was plotting out his evil deeds, he wanted to make sure she was safe. Honestly, they're a badaaaaass couple and would've made for a more thrilling story then the more puppy like love between the actual main couple. Just my thoughts, don't hate. Overall, the story was convoluted, directing was pretty terrible since the story telling was kind of all over the place. Cast was a visual wonderland. I fast forwarded a lot of the scenes and still got the gist of the story and who was on whose side, but some of it I probably lost, not that I really care to rewatch since it was pretty slow at times and just not engaging. I'd only say watch if you have nothing else to watch.

Okay. With how hard I, ME, MYSELF cried thinking he had died, I don't know how Ra Ra could sobeasily forgive him. I'd be pissed. The emotions would be shock, happy, confused, pissed, and then frustrated? Idk at this point. Did they really have to make the wait 5 years? Like thats an INSANE amount of time to not even contact her much less leave her thinking you died. Like wtf. Honestly, had they left him dead, I really thought, "Wow, even though I'm incredibly depressed, here's a k drama that finally gave us a sad ending to a very loving couple." I mean, I guess the mom didn't explicitly say he died.... she just remained quiet when Ra Ra asked, but like.... was all that REALLY necessary? She had already known the truth about his illness, why lie and say he died? Just let her stay by your side at this point. It felt like they killed him and revived him just as a shock factor but it made no sense. Ugh. I loved it and now I can't even FULLY be happy for the couple. Also, I felt like Jun would lie to her but it felt oddly out of character to fake his death..... like wtf. He knows how sensitive she is but what, who cares? Let's just tell her I died? Like..... what even. No clue. I think I'm still in the shock stage. Shrug.

I wouldn't have watched this if I knew that it only airs once a week and subs take a week long. Putting it on hold now, my binging personality can't handle this lol

The only promising part of this entire drama is HJP
The rest of the characters are a joke. They lack maturity, professionalism, and just common decency. The one person that has ALWAYS and I do really mean ALWAYS helped them regardless of what he wanted or felt was none other than HJP. But have they shown him even an ounce of respect? Nope. The only person that ever thanked him and showed him any gratitude was SDM and that shows that there's a reason why she is the CEO and no one else or else they wouldn't have even made it that far. But she also lacks in business, so why oh why did they all rush into this contract without consulting ANYONE else?! None of them have experience with acquisitions or with business type contracts, so why did they not wait for their mentor to get better? Why not ask the Director Yoon if Sandbox? They're all hot headed immature adults that think they know what's best or whats right and haven't learned from their past mistakes that HJP has called them out on. I have no sympathy for the SST group, not a drop. Their company getting disbanded is on them and not anyone else. Not Alex, not HJP. Alex made a business call and HJP left them for what? 48 hours? and they screwed up lmao if you're unsure of something, ask. Its really not that hard. I'm sure I already know how this is gonna end, but gonna go through the rest for HJP's ending and it better be a happy one. Lol and I really hope they show us more of In Jae. For someone that was promoted as a lead, she's harder to see than the SST people. ;(

Why did the mother fake her death?
Lol they didn't explain much. She just lived in seclusion. Go figure. Overall, the reasoning just fell flat for this show on multiple accounts. I wouldn't say she's a B but it is strange that for all these years they wouldn't think to just let him know that she's alive so he could at least visit her in secrecy....

Why did the mother fake her death?
Yup, couldn't agree with you more. She mentioned something about having to stay away or it would be bad for him,(Duke An). But like..... at least tell him she was alive. Oh well... sometimes I wonder what these writers are thinking or not thinking when they write out these storyline and the reasoning behind them lol

Why did the mother fake her death?
The King/Emperor was bombarded by his ministers to get rid of her believing that she would bring misfortune. So, he planned her fake death to protect her using Duke Su's fire as cover.

Agree completely. He was so cool in the beginning I would have loved to see them as love rivals and grudging allies.…
It truly was, they should've had the dead/hidden mother revealed halfway through and created a new antagonist where the main leads could've defeated together maybe even along with the Ruyi Pavillion crew. But nope, instead, multiple good people died all for pretty much nothing but a misunderstanding. Sigh

On The Blooms at Ruyi Pavilion Nov 18, 2020
I found it pitiful that this entire revenge plot boiled down to a misunderstanding. I would understand it more had his mother really passed away and it wasn't Duke Su's fault, but she was alive all this time. His morals and personality drove him to commit evil deeds and caused many deaths which I also found pitiful because it was all for naught. At least Duke Cheng and those evils were driven by their own greed. Duke An could've been a wonderful and reliable companion to do good but turned to a path of vengeance over a misunderstanding. I loved the scene when they rescued Fu Rong from the hideout in that one episode and the two Dukes duked it out with the hooligans. It really showed that they were both capable men and could have gotten along had it not been for the misunderstanding between them. I don't believe that Duke An wouldn't have been able to put his own feelings aside if he didn't misunderstand Duke Su and believed he was trustworthy for Fu Rong. Oh well, it was fun while it lasted haha all the eye candy leads were worth the watch ;)

I doubt anybody will agree with me, but I kind of want to see Han Hyo Joo or Jung Eun Chae as female lead. I'd be super excited for that but I also don't know what the female lead character is supposed to be like so lolol they might not even be a good fit.
