I don't think Mai would work well with P'Koo's style (Mai does like strong female/revenge genre scripts but it seems like she prefers working with P'Sant Srikaewlaw). And they did Astrophile together already. Kao has also worked with Mr Koo several times (Rabbit On The Moon, The Root, Faceless Love).
Honestly for this style, they could cast any new gen actress at One31 and I think they would do well, Baifern is just an easy ratings magnet and safe choice (but it kinda is a bummer for those who like her acting and is frustrated that her works with P'Koo have similar vibes all the time)

I feel like all the Thai dramas I've watched this year has used AI in one way or another. I respectfully disagree. It was a very hard decision for Ken to make knowing that if he chooses to live on, he will face the inevitable departure of James when James die of old age but he chooses to live on anyway because James has already come into his live and shown him that the happiness he could have with James is worth it in exchange for the sad ending for him and James (and grief and separation from your beloved is a part of the "life" experience).
Chita's decision is an excellent portrayal of the human nature where when people are unable to deal with grief and they have the power within their hands, would they truly be able to let their beloved go or they would force their beloved to come back even without their consent. Anyway you don't have to read them but I would recommend understanding the show from a more philosophical lens and look closely into what is being shown rather than only listening to what the characters say (because some of them are unreliable narrators, they say what is opposite to what is in their heart)

It could be related to Ken's bite or it could just be luck. I think the point being made in the friend's cancer story is that no one knows what's going to happen tomorrow, he thought he was doing to die in a few months yet he lived for another decade. The key message I took away from that was that the friend was advising Ken to stop living so detached to the world and let himself 'live' a bittle.
Regarding how Ken save his friend, the biting mechanic probably works as a normal bite and the person would be left bleeding with an open wound right? So I assumed Ken saved his friend the same way he would with any doctor would with an open bleeding wound

i'm not sure if non-buddhist audience had picked this up but for me, the philosophical narrative of past 9 episodes of nour has really been grounded in buddhist doctrines, especially on the three marks of existence: anicca ("impermanence"); duḥkha ("unsatisfactory" or more commonly translated as "suffering"); and anattā ("without a lasting essence" or "non-self").
For me, one of the most fascinating things Nour has done is to portray the concept of immortality as a curse to bring about the philosophical debates on whether it is right or wrong to hold onto someone in the name of 'true love'. This question is particularly highlighted through the events transpiring in EP 8 and 9 when we learn that in dealing with the grief of Dr Ji's death, Chita had turned him into a Nour (without consent) similarly to what his past boyfriend had done to him (even though Chita had explicitly requested his boyfriend not to do so).
In Buddhism, one of the main facts of existence of that all conditioned phenomena are suffering (sabbe sankhara dukkha) and because life is a conditioned phenomenon, therefore, life is suffering by definition. Humans cling to things even though we know the things are impermanent (anicca) but we do it because we feel that it is worth doing so in exchange for the happiness we get. This explains Ken's insistence on detachment to everything in his life as he as an immortal knows fully well that 'all conditioned phenomena are impermanent'.
Throughout its 9 episodes, Nour has already given Ken an answer to the question that his friend had initially posed to Ken in Episode 6: What's the point of living so long if you've never tried to truly live?
In fact, even James himself has verbalized the answer in EP 8 which is "to live well" and make every moment they have together count, no matter the suffering that will eventually occur from their inevitable separation in the future as an immortal/mortal relationship and then letting go when it is time to do so.
Because Nour has shown us time and time again that every time a character has chosen NOT to let go of the departed and brought them back to life in the name of 'true love' (aka clinging to the delusion of a permanency), the people who was brought back to alive almost always end up suffering, depressed, sad and unhappy, sometimes dead, like: Ken and his past love, Tee and Prae, Chita and his past lover, Dr. Ji and Chita
So rather than clinging to the departed which also end up create sufferings (as we have seen in previous instances), I believe acceptance (that things are the way it is, that ken in fact wants to live on despite the sufferings that come from attachment) and letting go (when james has to leave ken as a mortal or when ken leaves james because he's fulfilled and wants to do on his own accord) is how they eventually break the Curse of Nour.
thus, i am supportive of every single ending possible (preferably mortal!ken ones because i'm pretty sure Ken has racked up enough merits in his 200+ years lifetime in order to be reborn as a mortal), just NOT one where ken turns james into an immortal nour and they live happily ever after as nours because to me, that action would pretty much goes against every single buddhist themes the writers have embedded throughout the story.
But i guess if nour wanted to be an anti-buddhist piece, i'm also fine with such an ending with the message being that being selfish in the name of 'true love' is inevitable and inescapable
