i read through the novel as shared by someone in the comments and i can genuinely say the series really works as an adaptation bc it has the spirit of the novel meanwhile the novel was rather thin on plot with little to zero conflict/climax. the series has of course dramatized the novel with way more villains and obstacles for the main character but tbh they make armin's journey to stardom again more fun and challenging
Totally random ass question: does bls like kinnporsche, tharntype, love syndrome, love in the air, unforgotten…
Not really. If we talk about slap kiss as a GENRE then there's never really been a BL that aligns with all the benchmark tropes of a typical slap kiss lakorn (main character being wronged, main character coming back to seduce the other leading character, one character saying something offensive to the other person, causing the other person to slap them and then they retaliate by a kiss, and most importantly a dialogue that resembles something like "if you keep slapping me, i'll keep kissing you".
I do think many of the BLs that you mentioned above has dub-con/non-con so some scenes/moments are quite close to the slap kiss cliche where characters follow a slap by a kiss or makeup sex but that's not the exact same with the slap kiss sub genre of lakorn in my opinion. I hope this answers your question
I can't even remember what I did/was doing 5 years ago. Memories are fragmented and not linear, not to mention…
He does remember things and he is in fact using his skills to change things, avoid bad things happening and dealing with people who trampled on him in his past life. The person above is misrepresenting what the series is like. The difference between this MC and main characters from other time travelling dramas is that he has a tendency to blurt out things about the future like he's thinking out loud. The characters around him seems to think he's still a bit cuckoo and traumatized from his accident but he's just being straightforward and blunt which is a part of his charm.
I donโt know if someone has said it before in the comments but I cannot hear the โTDโ โThadaโ thing…
It's a coincidence since the writer started posting the stories in 2020 and fully published everything by 2022. Not related to the song either because he's named TD. for Thada where as the song is Teedee Tada so I'm sure it's just a random coincidence ๐ค. But even the writer themselves has acknowledged this cute coincidence saying they want to dance to the song whenever they see him https://x.com/crystaljadeed/status/1932639720670179789?s=46
some of you are here for the main, side couples some of you are here for the plot i'm here because boc managed to book ch7 leading ml euro yotsawat and one31 leading ml son yuke in a lgbtq+ series we are not the same :)))))))))
adjusting my expectations bc i know shine probably won't be as well-polished as netflix thailand's 70s setting doctor climax but the trailer looks great and it will definitely deliver on the cultures aspect considering how involved the ministries are with this series
The only difference is armin is trying to redeem everything unlike Joe who was like "mai pen rai khrab" and did…
Oh yeah no doubt. I think Armin differs much from Joe since Armin is actually pretty ambitious about his career both in the past life and the present life, whereas Joe starts as a stuntman and he has a very sabai sabai attitude about his acting career even if he's totally serious about his action stunts. Not to say that being ambitious is a bad/good thing but that distinguishes clearly how Joe/Armin takes very different approaches to their second life I think. Joe seems much calmer in accepting his predicament/status quo after rebirth.
I must be the only person who enjoy seeing Armin running around telling everyone about the future like he's a fortune teller. I think it's a nice departure from the typical time travelling main leads who would easily locate the system and try to navigate it calmly. Armin was pretty much enduring in his last life so I like seeing him blowing up at people and reacting to things in this life.
If anyone has seen My Stand-In, this Armin really reminds me whenever Joe gets angry after his rebirth which was rare but stellar moments which I enjoyed. Love that confronting energy here for Armin.
Disgusting behavior really. Downgrading a drama just because it's getting a little bit of recognition when this drama doesn't even have a fanbase nor a fixed pairing or super popular actors. The abuse of this rating system is genuinely unacceptable I wish the mods and admins would look into this arbitrary and unfair mass downvoting ๐ซค
wait i didn't understand the phone call with Itt in ep 5.. so is he being blackmailed..? any theories?
Someone is ordering Itt to connect MP Phuwish and Keen. That person will somehow harm MP Phuwish through this project that MP Phuwish and Keen has started together.
Ok, I've watched it but I'm confused. TD makes me confused. The guy that said we were never friends feels like…
I don't think TD threw away the flowers though, the panning away shot made it seemed to look that way but you still see TD/Thada's secretary giving Armin his flowers after the ceremony. To which Armin asked if he could meet TD at least once.
