It's a heavy subject matter I guess, some people are finding it difficult and some novel readers don't seem to…
tbh spare me your mercy is already doing so much than the novels in terms of representing euthanasia, the state of public healthcare in thailand, especially in rural areas. the novels were genuinely a bit shallow in this aspect. i really think the typical "bl/ql" audience just had too much expectations in a well developed romance which the runtime of this series cannot afford. i saw ppl calling torjj chemistry bad when they're literally saving this series with just GAZES and CUDDLES.
Ep 1:I just finished watching ep 1 and i didn't read what the episode was about before i started so felt really…
I think Netflix subtitles for Thai series kinda sucks sometimes. Thai uses เนเธเธฒ (Kao) which is a gender neutral third-person pronoun (he/she/him/her).
thicha and hua jai sila kind of the same drama in two different fonts. it'd be so interesting to see baifern and tor pair up in a drama series together
nah they have finished book 1 by ep 5, book 2 cant be adapted since they've changed thoroughly the plot already. i think some plot points from book 2 will be incorporated in these last 3 eps (like example: wasan finding out kan's secret)
tbh i think it's less about lack of physical intimacy/skinship between the characters but the set up/contextualisation…
Yea. I agree with you. I think the screenwriter already did her best to condense two different books, while making adjustments to not even spoil it for ppl who's read the book. Personally, I prefer the SMYM so far more than MoD or Triage so I can't understand the people constantly trying to compare these series just because their source material are from the same author. My only wish is that I wish SMYM eps were 20 minutes longer like 1h15min like other one31 lakorns. With just longer runtime, I bet they could shove in a bit more KanTew scenes to establish themselves as a couple a bit longer before That Guy died in EP. 4
Why people are complaining about the romance? Idk this light romance is so far interesting and addictive than…
tbh i think it's less about lack of physical intimacy/skinship between the characters but the set up/contextualisation of their romance narrative. for some audience (not me, just reiterating valid points i've read from others), they find its hard to suspend the belief of a convincing romance narrative when wasan tears up over the lie even though they've been dating for like what 2 weeks ish -> handcuffing kan -> getting kan a proper bday gift -> feeling betrayed again when he sees the pen at the crime scene.
even though i don't feel the same way as this opinion, i could see their valid points in terms of how kantew's romance is underdeveloped, sometimes feeling like we'd skip over scenes between them. i could fill in the gaps as a novel reader myself but if we look at the series independently, the writing should be tighter in order to make their romance more convincing if there's only 8 eps (for example, the angst would hit harder if they had been dating for a while or they started the series with them dating and flash back to gradually reveal things)
I had a few people messaging me about this so I'm posting this in the comments again for some exposure. I've finished transcribing the text of Euthanasia Book 2 into a PDF ebook with the help of a few kind friends. If you'd like to get early access to the ebook (on Dec 19, after episode 7 airs), please fill in this google form ๐โโ๏ธ๐. I've already opened the link for Book 1 in the discussion tab above since I can see that they've changed the culprit around so I think it's worth giving Book 1 a try for those who thought the romance is a bit rushed yet underdeveloped in the series because they structured it much differently in the book.

I totally recommend everyone reading the novel because the series had to cut many relationship development scenes of Kan and Tew to fit the adapted series
I see they've basically revealed everything from book 1 tonight. I've opened the link to the translated Euthanasia novel book 1 here, everyone enjoy! For those who have signed up in the google form for Book 2, see you next week then ๐

the lie is gonna break Patchai... god i hope he doesn't die at the end. i would like to see him happily raising his family with Thicha ๐ญ๐ญ๐ญ๐ญ๐ญ๐ญ
