When Bua is talking with Chian on the phone he says Moo hasn't asked him to be his boyfriend and that he is confused.…
thank you for sharing my translation. i wish i had remember to post about it here as well since i didn't know how to spread the info to get it to as many people as possible. it's really bad that the english subtitles is completely wrong where as all other languages are fine. i feel terrible for everyone who's watching it with english iqiyi sub and completely misinterpretating the characters/story because the subbers are just making up lies here. those conversations with bua are quite important to the story since it lead to chian showering with his door open at the end of the episode. no idea what's going on inside the subber's mind but i doubt the quality will improve over the next eps 😔
saw this film for the first time recently and i couldnt believe the credits when its said the fl is played by ice preechaya bc she looks soooo different here compared to what i remember her from gasohug or rak kan palawan.
8 episodes on One31, uncut on OneD application for Thai people. International fans will probably get to watch it through Youtube of MineMedia Production. Damn one31 literally bagging TV distribution rights for all the quality independent queer love productions. https://twitter.com/DavikaH/status/1892536490984370394?s=19
Inspired by the real life story of Flash Express - Thailand's first unicorn start-up. Excited to see this. I hope it gives The Social Network/The Billionaire vibes.
Leon is a native though, not only is he fluent but he actually speaks with an Isan accent irl, having grown up…
He is mixed. His mom is Thai while his dad is German. He talked about his background in this clip. Born in Germany but the weather was too cold that his mother was having issues, so they decided to move back to Thailand where he started his education in Thailand in first grade. It's quite funny because at first he didn't know Thai at all so when he noticed someone says computer, he thought he could just speak German/English words with a Thai accent so he could get by 😂 https://youtu.be/GmItLOI-lGo?si=kW6lObmA8hVN-nJo
Is the actor playing Bua not fluent in Thai ? it seems odd that so far he has very limited dialogue after 2 episodes.
Leon is a native though, not only is he fluent but he actually speaks with an Isan accent irl, having grown up in Khon Khaen. He's actually the most talkative among the guys in the cast. I think his character is just written that way. But I'm also guessing it might be because he's still a newbie actor so it might have been also a subconscious decision to write the character like that for less line delivery.
I finished ep 1 and I love the aesthetic! it really works make it feel indie (?) and has that old Japanese cinematography…
It's an original work. The director was inspired by the gel nails he saw of his fellow screenwriters and he thought it'd be interesting to explore the genz perspective on love and explore this idea of love where they're in a "'no status' status". it's quite early to say anything about any endgames but i don't think this series will be very predictable like most bl series. i'm not thai but i've hung out with a lot of thai friends and seems like it's pretty common to see guys with gel nails nowadays, especially if you have a relatively queer friend group. although the nail aesthetics you see in the series would probably be more common among girls, but the y2k trends in tpop and kpop has greatly influenced the way thai teen dresses in recent years so it's fairly accurate portrayal of urban thai queer teens.
So in the trailer, exactly at 3.28 - 3.29, there are two people on bed, is it Bua and Baabin?Trailer : https://youtu.be/AYscHqTby3U?si=Hpwox0cBSCkqCCsg
it's a nice blend of romance, comedy, fluff, and drama. usually multiple couples have a tendency to put stronger…
the common narrative trope of all the four love stories in the series is that the male leads are briefly terrible, whether it's their stubbornness, their noble idiocy (pushing FLs away because they think it's better for FLs instead of just openly communicating), their aggressiveness... so they all kinda exhibit these flaws during their respective love story but the love between them and FLs will change them to become better person basically. much of it depends on your personal level of tolerance.
1st daughter ml: he prefers to deal with problems on his own so the final arc/conflict of their love story is him pushing her away, saying things he don't mean to her for a greater cause (but i find that stupid)
3rd daughter ml: he's a businessman so at the beginning of their love story, him and fl keeps scheming each other so some people think he's too manipulative
4th daughter ml: the most "green flag" out of all the dudes, he was stoic and rather cold at first with fl
5th daughter ml: first introduced to the audience as a spoiled and obnoxious privileged brat who tried to forced 3rd daughter into marrying him, he has a huge growth arc since his arrogance and stubborness matches with 5th daughter's passion and strength.
NOT a Fan of Multiple couples so I am kinda skeptical on watching this. Can anyone give me One main reason why…
it's a nice blend of romance, comedy, fluff, and drama. usually multiple couples have a tendency to put stronger at the beginning and fall off at the end but in perfect match, the couples near the end are a bit more compelling for me personally so it was rewarding to push through/keep watching. but if i had to pick one reason, it's because all the male leads ending up as simps for their wives and any scenes where the men are treating their wives like they're their everything is just glorious and so satisfying to watch
Damn. How much of this show did Sam(e)sung pay for?
the series is not sponsored by Samsung. You only see that banner because it's a public electronic banner running multiple ads (one of them is Samsung) actually put up at the BTS station so they leave that footage there just as is.
Will we (International fans) even get a chance to watch this or it's going to be like My Ex's Wedding 🥹
It's a GDH productions so it'll be available on Netflix in 4-5 months time. It will take 1-2 months for it to get distributed internationally at your local cinemas, depending on where you live.
I really hope they don't air drop the whole thing in one day
It airs every Saturday. It also airs on One31 TV channel for thailand tv watchers so it's just like any other series, not a 'drop everything at once' netflix-style series
i have no idea who's ending up with who but i sure as hell need babin to get his happy ending whether it's with someone or if he ends up single but achieving whatever it is he wants.
i feel bad enjoying this drama as a feminist bc of the blatant misogny and sexism but wow this kdrama has a grip on me fr. why is lsk and ghj chemistry sooooo good!!!!! their final scene in ep 10 when he says he likes her in the kitchen gahhhh
