since mingyi gave in to his father’s demands because yazala was ordered exiled (basically a death sentence),…
if he leaves with nares, i think his father would have used this reason to attack phitsanulok and ayutthaya -> unintentionally creating a war that no one asked for (one which would have most likely ended with nares and his family dead while he puts his own people in phitsanulok and ayutthaya reign)
even if he knew that his father killed his granddad, what could he have done? accused his dad of killing his grandfather? then, what? does he have any power in his hands at all? like even when his little bros tried to kill nares, even his grandfather couldn't do anything other than to apologize to phra nares' dad and allow him to return to phitsanulok.
i feel like mingyi swa is really pitiful because he really is a helpless crown prince trapped by his own circumstances.
is this bromance series?TBH, X timeline is full of this. why this is popular. reason pls
the two main characters are recorded in history as enemies and had an epic elephant battle which led to the freedom of ayodhaya (thailand) from being a vassal state to hongsawadi (burma). the series reimagines what if these two guys were not enemies but were really good brothers that have a tragic ending because of their circumstances.
popular because general audience appreciate the retelling of history in a creative way, humanizing way, from the perspective of the other side (hongsawadi) rather than most past adaptions being from the perspective of king naresuan. they also praise the show for the actors' clear pronunciation, the details in costume is in incredible, the cinematography, color grading is beautiful.
thai sao y/bl fans like it because of the imagination potential of this bromance story. the acting is excellent, the actors' chemistry is good =)))))))))
This comment has me dying 😂 " They were about to kill each other, but the fujoshi (female fans of BL) are…
I think it's very close to Empress of Ayodhaya due to them sharing the same screenwriter and a similar approach to historical fiction which is to humanize and reinterpret the supposed "villains" in recorded history. Surprisingly so far, The Last Duel very much focuses on the brotherhood of the two male leads while balancing the power politics between the kingdoms.

I’m not really feeling this Nanno, to be honest. I don’t think season 1 or season 2 were perfect at all. I…
Thank you. I feel that point about her acting being rather unnatural 😭 And you're right she's not at all like this in other works so I'm not sure about the acting choices here. 😭
I have a question and one comment. Are Tawan and Dindin one of the couples? I am curious. And now the comment. I…
I think Tee is following exactly what Golf Tanwarin directs him to do. Tee's acting in CH3 lakorns are so good like I genuinely believe Sailom being exagerratedly child-like is kinda just how Golf Tanwarin envisions this character to be, rather than it being an acting issue 🤷♀️
I don't like Diao's father at all. I was hoping he'd die too. It's weird to see the show whitewashes his crimes…
didn't like Lea Wu bc i hate selfish characters but im kinda happy that she's free from being exploited by Peter Wu. that man is such a good villain, like him so much more than Wit. absolute pure evil that doesn't get redemption >>>>>>>>>>>> thank you one31 for committing to that
