Ep 6 and im having a good time. at the beginning its full of cliches (well the enemy to lover trope have been over used) but the characters are enjoyable and the dialogues are on the spot and not cringey. you can give it a try.
If you like acting you can at least admire Zhang Ruo Yun
he's great isn't he? as new in cdramland, good-looking actors (for me) is what caught me first to be interested, then if im bored no matter how visually entertaining you are im gonna drop the drama or put it on hold.
I just encounter him bcoz of XZ in Joy of Life, and I'm so glad I tried that drama. ZRY have thisstrong charisma that pulls me in. He may not be good looking for me, but Im hooked, he always deliver and bring his character to life. I saw John Lloyd Cruz in him (one of the best actors in the Philippines).
I love 2nd chances trope.. i love the trailer.. and i love director Yang Yang. but why the low rating.. I saw some comments that really hates ml character. I'm thinking of beloved summer where I at first love the guy and hate the girl and even at midpoint just wish them to be happy but separately,.

i just realize im not fun of lengthy dialogues... or the way FL delivers her monologues bore me...its not repetitive but looooong and it kinda lost it impact on me. She acts well but im not liking the way the story unfold so far...

im on ep 8 now.. so far I like the pacing of the story, i just wish episodes are longer... i didn't read the novel so im not familiar to begin with but i love the dynamics of the character. The funny scenes are not cringey. The scenes are also visually entertaining. You can give it a try.

tbh, I am a disappointed. I waited this for 3 years and all i got is this.The script is weak and repetitive, at times boring I skip scenes. I did not finished the book, so I dunno if this is the whole book unfolding. Im blaming the script, the directing for this blasphemy. A wasted potential of a spinoff from one of the great BL stories Ive ever watched.
Still I love them BounPrem. I hope they will have a solid project to come.
im not attached with Ha Ra fling/bf... but I keep thinking they make him a gentleman/too good to be true guy then end up hurting him in the end... or worst.. after all the build up, they will make him do some stupid stuff so Ha Ra will break up with him... such a classic cliche!
