No doubt, TJC can act. That 3-minute performance in Under the Skin 2 is breathtaking—it gives goosebumps. Yu…
Hmm, the novel described him as very tall, with the FL only reaching the height of his chest. Because of this, many fans of the novel imagine him to be around 188–190 cm tall. I can’t speak for other readers, but when I read a book, I visualize the leads as described by the author, so I have certain expectations. I’ve read that some TJC fans are upset because of the height issue and justify it by emphasizing TJC’s superior talent. I won’t argue, as I’ve witnessed TJC’s charisma and excellent acting. Maybe when he wears the costume, those of us who reacted will be proven wrong. We’ll see. These are just personal expectations and are in no way meant as an attack on TJC or whoever may be cast. I just hope the production won’t be lazy and will surprise the novel fans while attracting new viewers as well.
honestly, I'm torn on my opinion on Dr.Kan.. he had many chances to tell the truth... also wish he told the truth…
He believed that what he did, although illegal, was justified in his conscience because he was helping Tew's mom and other terminally ill patients end their suffering. As we’ve seen, he would talk to the patient and clearly confirm if this was what they truly wanted. That’s why he chose to carry this secret to the grave.
There are moments in their scenes where he feels sorry—not for what he did—but because Tew is sad and regretful about the missed chance to see his mom alive.
From what I see, if Tew forgave him and kept his secret, he would likely continue performing euthanasia.
Damn, I feel schooled about life again. You can never truly understand the suffering of someone unless you've experienced it yourself. The pain must be immense for someone to choose to end it.
Kudos to the director, scriptwriter, production staff, and the amazing actors who made this drama so special.
No one will actually be good enough for you guys. The way i saw so many people on twitter bashing Tan jianci height…
No doubt, TJC can act. That 3-minute performance in Under the Skin 2 is breathtaking—it gives goosebumps. Yu Shuxin as Miao Miao is also one of my fave FL this year; her portrayal is cute, funny, and heartwarming.
However, as a fan of the novel, I personally feel that the height is a crucial physical description, and I’m not sure if Jian Ci can fully compensate for it with his excellent acting.(maybe im wrong) YSX isn’t my Shen Miao either.
For a novel with such a huge following, the expectations are extremely high. Any actor taking on these roles will inevitably face criticism because it’s impossible to please everyone. But I will choose to trust and pray that the producers and director have a strong vision, ensuring that whoever they select is the best fit for the role, whether it’s YSX, TJC, or someone else.
The pacing is so sloooooooooooooooow. Ten episodes in, and we’re still going in circles. 😭 Glad I’m watching in real time because if not, fast-forwarding would definitely be my best friend.
binge watch 3 episodes: for me, the acting and story pacing is better than FY.. still average but good to watch for chill and have stupid laughs.. everyone is so pleasing to the eyes.
ep 6: I’ve lost count of how many times Saint said "sorry" and Shin told him to "back off"... Ugh, it’s so…
Will keep you posted 😂.
I’m looking at your watchlist and thinking of starting Blue Canvas... Oh, what do you think of Your Sky? Is it better than Forever You? (I’m watching this one mostly for the eye candy—the acting is meh, and the dialogues are cringe, but they make me smile, so that keeps me coming back every week.)
"among the most expensive" I know this would be good but I'm scared... oh, please make the PPL execution classy.. I like the TK:EM story but the shameless PPL ruined my watching experience.

I believe so. This is one of the few dramas that isn’t suited for me to watch in one sitting. I pressed play because of the ratings, completely blind—didn’t even read the synopsis. I just learned from the credits that this is based on a Korean drama (which, surprisingly, I haven’t watched).
2 episodes left—I need to finish it just for closure. Haha(Thank you for interacting with me!) 😭
I really like the camera works and the actors’ performances, but the plot pacing and overall script are a meh for me.

Ep 12 Ugh! Who am I going to blame? Hahaha.
I really hate it when a drama forgets to use brain and logic. I liked that Saint delayed Shin, but honestly, he could have just called his teacher, Mr. Sung, or the police for support. But then again, we wouldn’t get the dramatic next scenes. smh.
"Im not gonna let anyone hurt you" does not mean you'' let others hurt you. dumb. so dumb... write could have think of a better idea.

Ep 11- 12 I keep on thinking the writer really like to repeat dialouges in different place. lol. I felt touch with the motorcycle scene.
The writer finally noticed that there are other cast members worth exploring. I believe we should have started this around Episode 3, instead of repeating the same plot with Saint constantly apologizing and getting into brawls at every chance.
I’d love to see more of Chadjen and Cable’s story (even though we’ve already seen glimpses of it). Ken and the twins could also have compelling stories to tell—of course, without taking the spotlight away from the main leads.
I keep thinking the writer really likes repeating the same scenarios in different places. Lol. Shin already said that Saint leaving hurt him more than his leg injury. If I remember correctly, he said this in the classroom and on the rooftop? I’m so fed up with these redundant scenes that could have been better utilized for other plotlines. -

JohanNorth is sailing!!!!
Good thing there’s a sane one—Chadjen—who knows how to call for help. As usual, everyone recovers so fast. 😂.
For all those staring contests, I wish they’d at least kiss once, hahaha!
Two thumbs up for the good acting and feel-good OST!
8/10 (if not for good acting i would have given this 6 )
