The situation he has been through is really bad. He has no choice, but to doubt her. He still needs to take revenge…
Haha, do you know So Young and how was she? So Young's family killed his whole family. Would you love and trust So Young if you were in his place? There is only on ep 4, you don't know yet how he will try to fight back. Should have gone to greater lengths?? lol. He has no power at the court, So Young's family has. The writers didn't show much about his backstory and plans in 4 episodes. You can't judge him based on 4 episodes. Anyway, you're free to hate him, but it's not good for your mental health, lol.
Not sure why some people dislike the king, his family was accused of treason (most probably, it's not true, imho)…
I actually want to blame the writers for not showing exactly how he actually has gone through all these years. In these 4 episodes, they showed more about Bong Hwan and his cooking methods than the main characters, So Young and Cheoljong. I'm also mad people saying the King is a villain, wish the Queen to end up with the Cousin instead. For those, Our King is the male lead (not a villain at all) who knows how to fight back and he is going to achieve his goals. There's more likely that the Cousin would turn out to be a villain, haha. Kim Jung Hyun is doing a great job portraying a very difficult character. Love Jung Hyun and the King.
Hmm does anyone know how romance is going to be incorporated in this drama? FL will obv reject ML because of 'her'…
I think their romance will happen only after the actual Queen is back to her own body. With Bong Hwan in her body, it's very unlikely to happen because Bong Hwan is manly (and SK would Not go for BL).
I'm hating on the king a lot... I loved how So Young roasted him in ep4 and pointed perfectly that he's going…
The situation he has been through is really bad. He has no choice, but to doubt her. He still needs to take revenge on the Queen's family, Kim Clan. His whole family was killed by them. And,now he has no power, just a puppet King. He is willing to change his fate and also his country's. We need to appreciate him for it.
I don't really think Jo Hwa Jin is evil. We think she's a bit evil because we see from So Yong's perspective.…
Agree! We still don't know about So Young yet. We can't blame HJ and also the King for So Young's suffering/ suicide attempt. I've seen in some comments that they blamed the King (I actually can't understand) for mistreating So Young.
He said jhj was with him just to save her and at that time she didn't became his concubine... He has been spending…
Ikr? The King is really spending the nights with the Queen after their marriage, rather than JHJ. Also before that, he just needed JHJ to use in his plans.
Funny thing,in GPG for most of the drama I was rooting for the second lead(in both, politics and love). The King…
Me too. It is so easy to root for Our King. I love Kim Jung Hyun's acting as always. Not SLS at all, not even a bit lol. Actually, the cousin is not SML.
Another Theory - what if the king actually never slept with Jo Hwa Jin? They just pretended to stay together all night, so the King could stay out freely at night while plotting his plans. Queen Dowager and Kim Clan would not suspect him that way. That's why he stays close to Hwa Jin. Too bad, Queen Dowager is now finding the new concubines.
