Unexpected but Pretty impressed with how this series managed to keep the story interesting from start till end.…
I know, right! The drama moves quickly and continues to surprise me. I was not expecting Ji Yun to turn into a demon at all...nor did I expect the Empress to be the big baddie the whole time. The drama keeps me wanting more and I love the character development of everyone, especially Ji Chu. I really hope we get a happy ending. Like, maybe, the new story being written is well-received by the readers so her computer gives her an option to return or something like that. Fingers crossed that Ji Chu and Qing Ge get their own happy ending.
This drama keeps me in suspense and invested in the leads' well being.
So true! It's a sleeper hit for me as I was not expecting much from the drama but it's totally enjoyable. I also like that the story reveals more of the overarching plot which is for Ji Chu to find out exactly who was behind his mother's murder fifteen years ago. The dots are being connected and little tidbits are revealing itself after each episode. I do hope the crown prince does not turn to the dark side for his mother. Obviously, Ji Chu is stealing the show for me, and I'm liking his chemistry with Qing Ge. Despite the low budget, I think the setting and costumes are amazing. Everyone is styled very well and the costumes are all quite memorable, especially Ji Chu's black outfit, and the purple one and the white and red one. I'm low-key obsessed with this drama 😂😂.
Watched for the main couple only. They were adorable, had great chemistry and some hot kissing scenes. Didn't like the selfish attitude of the FL's friend, however. But I think because the CP were so solid, show needed another couple to have stupid misunderstandings and a breakup. ZMY has become one of my favorite actresses, this and WIFTY, showed her skills. I thought her acting in both were great. Different characters but adorable and believable. Loved this drama.
Just finished watching episode 1 and wow! I went thru so many different emotions, from laughing at the bar scene then to crying while she was telling her dad about her dreams. So good! Also, the ending with the little Gu-Lin theater was so adorable!
While I hate the noble idiocy breakup in this episode, I do love the acting. I cried and screamed and raged along with Na Young-won (kudos to JSM for her wonderful acting). I don't agree that the SML is selfish at all as obviously, he didn't plan on getting into an accident. Also, he had said that he was ready to move on from the FL. The problem here is lack of communication but I can understand why ML and SML didn't come right out and speak plainly to each other. I mean the SML is like a brother to the ML so of course he doesn't want to hurt his feelings by saying that he's in a relationship with the girl that SML also likes. And the SML didn't want the ML to know about his feelings for FL bc he didn't want ML to feel badly bc SML also liked the girl. Had the friend (Chan or whatever) not said anything to the ML, none of this would have happened. So yeah, to us, the ML was stupid but in dramaland, what he's doing makes sense to him bc he doesn't want to lose the only family he's ever known (SML). It does look like the ML will try to get back together with FL in the next episode and I hope she makes him work for it! I love me a good grovel and the ML needs to really badly for the FL to forgive him. Still loving this show and can't wait for next week.
I think you might have missed some stuff here bc the CEO wanted his assistant to leak out to the press that SHAX…
Oh, CEO Park's assistant is definitely shady. He pretty much confirmed that he wanted to be in a position of power bc he was doing all the legwork while CEO Park was getting the credit. I forget what episode (maybe 7?) when he was talking to a shareholder on the phone and he complained about it afterwards. I hope they both go down bc they are behind whatever happened to Annie. Evil, greedy people they both are.
I don’t know what happened in episode 10 (no subs yet), but he had a lot of pressure on him. He was being manipulated…
I think you could be right about the assistant being the one responsible for what happened to Annie. I thought it was odd that Annie was smiling like that in the picture when the man is clearly CEO Park. Though, I'm not sure that CEO Park is decent. Power and money changes a person so I don't think he's redeemable at this point. I think that the assistant will bring down the CEO somehow to gain power but it'll be pointless bc all the talent (ie. La Ri Ma and SHAX) will jump ship and sign with JH Entertainment instead. I believe there'll be a happy ending for all.
I usually don't like when a show changes the source material too much. However in the case of MaHa's family I'm…
I totally agree! The webtoon was too sad so I'm glad they changed it here. I also think that bc there are only 12 episodes, it works well to keep the story face-paced and moving.
