I don't think the love is lost either.
But they created for us a visual of a loving bond between the body/face of Mudeok with the personality of Naksu. In essence Mudeok is a character in and of her own self because elements of both Naksu and BuYeon were present and active. BuYeon saved Uk from his soul being shifted. When Master Lee showed up BuYeon appeared. BuYeon opened the gate at the Jin residence and it was her power that gain her freedom. Naksu was his teacher and I can go on. So there were elements of two personalities combined into one that created Mudeok and that's the love we fell in love with. That's gone.
We've seen him loving with that particular face and body now we're supposed to just accept it because the real Naksu will be back it changes the visual and dynamic of what we fell in love with completely. No shade to those in love with the Naksu character but it's a completely different dynamic, a whole other face. It's gonna be different. And whoever says it isn't I need an explanation.

Yes... You wrapped it up so well. Because Mudeok is neither BuYeon or Naksu. Bu-Yeon is a powerful priestess of the Jin family. Naksu is cold-blood, and Cho Yeong is a broken little girl. There are so many dynamics there but they built a love story between Mudeok. They gave us passion, fire, conflict and it's just different. Guess we'll see how this ends in December.

Alright I am back and still BITTER but I am keeping it together. I am keeping it together. I do have some questions, some guestimations and a looooooooong shot theory... With that said, please don't do the whole trying to come for me, how could you think like that or acting all offended like these people are real and like someone has ended your world over a guess and a discussion about a show... It's guesses, theories, questions and me just trying to work out my own closure... Anyways.
It's a known fact that Uk considered the possibility of Mudeok running wild because they had conversations about it. His whole mission with getting the ice stone was the save her - the same with Yul. Master Lee was even concerned but became less concerned knowing the power of the one the body originally belong to Bu Yeon.
With that being said, I am curious about the rest of Master Lee's conversation with Uk at the river in episode 20. Uk said if she runs wild, help me awaken the power of the stone because he was content with not using the Kings Star power in conjunction with the ice stone. Master Lee however seemed to know and understand more because he knew there was more ahead. He's always seemed to know. He knew the kind of power needed to defeat Jin Mu and the remaining crew of those practicing sorcery was the power Uk had and the only way for it to be unlocked was through something drastic.
In following the model of the show, from the time Uk became the disciple of Naksu, she would go to any length (extreme or whatever) for him to reach and push into his full potential. Because of his love for her, he gave up all desire of reaching his full potential which couldn't have set right with her. She's done things before to push him. I'm not saying she would willingly allow herself to be controlled and kill innocent people. But I wonder if her and Master Lee knew this could possibly happen and chose not to safeguard against it. Master Lee said something about all things going back in their place - is this what he meant. She really could have killed Dang-gu, Cho-yeon very easily but it seems she held back. I need to go back and look at all who were taken out.
I just have so many questions about why they chose to do this at the final minutes of the show. I remember Yul having a vision about her running wild. Like I said we all knew it was possible. So was this the plan all along and we all got lulled into a false sense of security and a false sense of happiness...
I feel to a certain degree Uk meeting Mudeok/Bu yeon was destined to happen because before the events with Naksu Mudeok/Bu yeon had been sold to the place Uk frequents so as far as destiny maybe they were meant to be together anyway. But due to who he was destined to become so Naksu is inserted as a catalyst to him becoming who he was destined to be. I don't know..
My thoughts are all over the place because I'm in pain about Mudeok, her identity (Bu Yeon) and as far as a couple I'm used to seeing her with Uk. I know the Naksu actress is popular and all and the second season will focus on her but they have spent 19 episodes making us fall in love with Uk and Mudeok. I'm waiting patiently for December to arrive. Until then. I may come back every now and then to Scream, Cry and Speculate. I need an outlet because I am in pain. I'm being Dramatic of course. But I am in pain. Lol.

They betta FIX it!!! The very end was a slight saving grace but that whole thingy thingy they did. We got - No closure or clarity just the random foolery they gave us with how many minutes left. If they were going to address that. Why at the end when ?!??! Ughhhhhhh. FIX IT. That is all.

Cool. I kept hearing a bunch of chatter and people upset. They were saying it was about Naksu so the FL in this wouldn’t be in the other. I was trying to figure out how it would be a season 2 without Mudeok featuring the girl who played Naksu because her body was burned. I’m still confused but I’ll be fine. I love this drama. I’m sure they got it all worked out somewhere.
It’s good to know it’s not a prequel because I was also wondering what more do we need to know about Naksu prior to this.
