The memory of him from Handsome Siblings still sticks with me. He looked so majestic in that drama. I cannot wait until Checkmate comes out with him and Leon Yang I think that's his name. Yeah it's all good. It's just frustrating to me. I mean there's already his accident and trauma and forgetting someone he love. I just feel like some times they over complicate matters by adding extra unnecessary trauma. I was cool and understood her initial pain thinking he just ghosted her but once finding out he had an accident and developed amnesia then for me that's like a mental and an emotional reset letting me know okay it wasn't me or my fault or anything I did.
We already got to deal with when he learns the truth and all that. I just don't get the need to have her hand onto unnecessary hurt and even develop a psychological issue from it. Just seems like overkill. But that's just me.

I'm not going to drop it just because I do love the leads but the plot is a central part the drama and I don't understand the need of creating a psychological struggle in her over something he cannot control. Selective amnesia doesn't work the way they're making it sound. They're making it sound as if he went through his memories and chose which ones to keep and throw away. Then he doesn't have amnesia that's him being a selfish heartless jerk. Selective amnesia or dissociative amnesia kicks in when the mind is struggle to recall a memory due to a trauma connected to it so in order to ease the pressure of that trauma and trying to remember selective amnesia kicks in. So again having her struggle psychological blaming him is kind of ridiculous. .
Funny how triggered some people get though. My gripe with the plot is legitimate. But I still like the drama because again I like the leads. But some stuff could have been thought out better. I just can't get behind ridiculous reasons for being mad at someone.

I'll watch that part again, as her mouth was moving it wasn't clear that she wasn't speaking to him. Still the point is selective amnesia is not selected by the person themselves. Selective amnesia happens due to an overwhelming trauma attached to that person or thing. To my understanding they were supposed to meet at the fireworks. So if he was on his way and got into an accident, was in a coma or whatever happened to the poor guy upon waking up certain memories were too traumatic or extensive to remember so as a defensive mechanism dissociative or selective amnesia is triggered. It's still not something the person chooses. Which was the whole point of my post to begin with.

Okay so she's talking with him about her psychological problem in episode 17 and how she will solve it so she can be intimate with him and then she says to him about his psychological problem and her trying to figure out what happened that year and why he chose to forget her. Okay for the 30 thousandth time, he had an accident, he lost his memories. He didn't choose to forget her.
And while talking to Dr. Ding she says she doesn't know how to mention the past to him. You just mentioned the past to him like moments before talking to Dr. Ding. You said, you want to know what happened that year and why he chose to forget you. Is that not mentioning the past. She may be vague but she is talking about it. She has said to him several times, "don't you remember me?" She's not hiding the fact that she knows him from the past. She's not given detail but she has mentioned it to him.
Am I crazy? Confused? Can't read? Is the problem the translation? I'm so lost. And how could he control amnesia? How can you choose to be in an accident and choose to forget someone? He forgot due to an accident. This is roasting my nerves. But I will press on because I love me some Hu Yi Tian and I like the female lead too. Yeah I'm a bit concerned about all of that: them lying to him and the fact that it seems her family didn't realize she was in a serious relationship. Unless it wasn't. I don't know. I'm confused about the depth of their relationship in the past and why no one in her family seemed to know. We'll see what happens. I so love the leads though.

Why do the writers do this? What sense does it make for her to be upset and hurt about him having amnesia. Like he deliberately went out there had a car accident and got amnesia to forget her on purpose. And the whole pheromone thing. Other than these annoying tidbits I love this drama. The leads are some of my favs both him and her. But if they don't cool it on the dumb reasons for being upset.
Oh and the sudden stutter thing has worked me. I mean come on.

She had a blatant disregard for the FL. She tried to ruin her career by keeping her at a company that she knew was failing. She was doing all this shady stuff. I mean who cares about two rats getting together.
And the FL best friend. She used Oyang. She kissed him giving him false hopes. Then when he stands up for her being molested and groped she flips on him then suddenly falls for someone else who is shady. Females like her get on my nerves. Selfish. I thought she was a real one. She abandoned her girl over a dude she barely knows for the prospect of fame.
This is cute. The rating is a bit low. One thing I don’t care for is the focus on the FL ex-boyfriend and that shady chick. Like who cares. Why are they even relevant? Why?
It’s official this man has stolen my heart in a little over 100 minutes. Actually I was invested at the moment he entered the screen. Striking appearance. Beautiful smile. He gave us playful, protector, cringe, terrifying,, strange, adoring, action adventure and sweet male lead vibes in one short drama.
Now we know he can be that creepy guy. He can be the lead of whatever genre you put him in. He will shine. Can’t wait to see him more. He got super duper star written all over him. And he’s gorgeous. Yes sir we see you out here.
After episode 38 I’ve lost all respect for Mr Park. The level of control, manipulation and just all out toxic behavior is beyond me. Dan Dan is grown grown. And I’m sorry the way he keeps yanking up Anna that man has some abuse issues. I mean you lock your grown child in a room. Like him and Ma Wang on the same crazy wave length. I was gonna try to press through but they keep doing stuff to tick me off.
