I have never in my life seen such an awful collection of women who have bore children. I don’t even want to call them mothers because their level of selfishness. Like how can they be this selfish, self-seeking, set-consumed with the nerve to feel entitled and justified to be doing what they are doing. And the way they speak of discarding children for their own personal gain and happiness. Se Ryun’s mom is the worst. Like this woman is willing to sell her daughter off to scum just because they have status but look down on decent people because they have no money. So does having status buy you a pass from being decent. Something is wrong with this woman and that mindset.
The way she looks at her daughter for giving up her shares. Like she wanted to kill her own child. This woman is sick. She needs a hospital. The women in this drama. Like there are only a few with sense. And the fact that he hasn’t put her out of his house. I can’t with her.

Here is the thing that flusters me about this storyline. She had dreams and she left out of frustration because she wanted to give her family better only sad thing is she had a child.
Often when these noble sacrifices are made it’s the men who are sick or something like that so they break up with the woman they love to go to the states to get treatment and come back. They rarely complicate their noble sacrifice with a child. Other than in Fated To Love you the Korean version the male lead fathers leaves but that’s a long story. But it’s always seen as noble.
In this they involved a child. Making her a villain. I can go on and on but I’m typing on my phone.

Before responding, I'll just say thank you for your comment. I didn't think I would have to preface my post but I guess I will from now on. To sum up my post, I was startled by his violent outburst which sent me spiraling into questions about his character aside from him appearing to be meek and mild because I was just adding my own theories to the story line because a lot of the foolery is driving me crazy. The point of my whole post was I was turned off by him hitting her. And as I stated before as much as I wanted Se Ra to be slapped, I would have been turned off if the Chairman slapped her.
I am well aware of the story line and the reasons and his anger, her issues and such. I was just saying sarcastically I had questions because I just wanted to imagine something different which for me would have been a breathe of fresh air instead of the majority of these women in this drama being either super selfish, manipulative or self-driven.
As far as my take on abuse. I am also a counselor, I have a degree in Marriage and Family Therapy and we're in ministry. Abuse of course cannot be judged in a vacuum, nor can it be generalized. However, I know there is a such thing as self-control no matter how angry you are. And to hit someone so easily says you either feel justified to do so, you've done it before, it was normalized behavior you witnessed, therefore it was easy for you to do because you saw others you respected it do it so easily or you lack the skills to control yourself. I can go on. But something in you has to be comfortable with hitting someone like that or feeling entitled to do so. Thus me again saying I had questions because for me at this point with this drama again was an interesting thought to explore because deep down I want one of these women in Dan Dan's life to have some type of decency to their character instead of everything being driven by their own motivation.

That’s common sense but this is a fantasy genre. Also as someone born with health issues there are things I was told I would never do but have done them. I struggle with walking but yet I have days when I feel strong enough to do more than walking and I do it. Since K is a huge part of his childhood memories. I was thinking he probably was an actual person that saved him somehow because the alter identifies as a hero so he's a protector an savior. Being an actual person who literally saved his life by him receiving his heart would make sense and him developing him as an alter personality due to his traumatic childhood fits well. And though his physical body may be weak - the body of his alter isn't so his ability to fight is like a mind over matter kind of thing as he only maintains that fighting acumen for short moments. I'm curious to find out.
All I know is the writer of this is genius. This is one of the most creative dramas I've seen in a while as far as creative and new is concerned. I love this drama.
