Yes he is quite endearing. I am in love with him. He's like my favorite new actor. I watched Arsenal Military Academy, The Legends, Court Lady (I skipped around but I love him so I tried to stick to it). I'm going to check out Once Upon a Time in Lingjian Mountain, Story of Yanxi Palace and Dance of the Sky Empire. He is just amazing to me. I've heard people say he isn't a good actor but I absolutely adore him.

Oh okay. I loved the lil boy that played him in this drama. And yeah I heard about the bad reviews. I didn't understand. And the reasons why they didn't like the drama seemed weird. There were complaints about the lead female not being pretty enough, there were complaints that Xu Kai looked fat? I was like huh. I was confused about the bad reviews. Still am. I loved it.

Oh okay. Thanks for sharing. I loved this drama. I just want to see everyone who came back. They could have gave us like 3 more episodes for some good closure. I'm satisfied but feel incomplete.
Why am I crying. Ancient Love Poetry is the perfect title. Justice was served up poetically and whew lawd that ending. I needed more but WHEW!!! My heart. My tear ducts. My heart and my tear ducts. First of all. The rating on this is too low. And secondly I'm lost. I needed more of this drama. More episodes. Will there be a follow up. I heard there's a book about Yuanqi and then there's another about Yuemi. I don't know how true that is but we needed more of this. MORE I say. MORE!!!

Agreed. The level of suffering he is experiencing is being downplayed and the hate to me is unwarranted because at the end of the day he's doing everything out of love for Shanggu. He had a plan but some things went beyond his reach like the love between Qing Mu and Houchi. QM is equally him just as Houchi is equally Shanggu. He did everything down to making sure she could live a simply life as she wished for while working this plan. Every time he cries I cry. It's hard seeing him be so cold and distant. It's hard hearing the things he's saying knowing he doesn't mean a word. It's painful and it's obvious that he's in pain. Xu Kai deserves multiple awards for how he has conveyed that pain because he's made me feel it.
Oh I already know and have seen that. He’s my robot husband. Seriously 🤣🤣🤣. I watched his last drama When The Weather is Fine and didn’t care for it. I endured it because of him and then Kim Young Dae’s fine self made a few cameos. But yes the Seo boys that’s what I call them. Ha Seok Jin, Park Seo Joon, Seo Kang Joon and Seo In Guk were all my first KDrama loves. I was Seo crazy every pun and play on the name intended. Lol. Them right there.
Exactly. ZDY has gained a new fan with me. She is unreal. I have enjoyed her. She gives life to Shanggu in such a powerful way. She understood the assignment of strong female character and has given us that with Shanggu. Even when she’s struggling to understand Bai Jue actions. She still has that firm strong and no nonsense air about her. She doesn’t let anyone punk her. Sometimes with these dramas they water down the strength of the strong female after she falls in love but she keeps her edge and she bows down to no one. I love it.
The pain is real. I promise I plan to watch this drama again. I can’t get enough of the story line and can we just go on and nominate Xu Kai for every award there is. The emotional range of this man. The way he is making us feel his love/torment/passion/pain and determination. His softness yet his ability to mask it with fake cruelty that seems so real. My goodness. I was in love with his pretty face but this man is a real talent. Whew.
I can go on and on about the talent in this drama. The whole cast is Phenomenal
I'm so desperate I'm watching episodes 41-46 in the raw. And while I cannot understand most of what's being said; I ain't got to know Chinese to know Wu Huan is a lying manipulating demon. I don't like the word hate but I HATTTTTTTE this woman with her lying scheming manipulative self. I'm waiting on her JUST DUE DAY. Yes I am. OOOOOOOO
I'm so in my feelings over this drama. The pain on Bai Jue's face for having to hurt Houchi. After conversation with Gu Jun I understand but wow. This hurts so bad.
