Episodes 38 and I’m in my feelings. That is all 😭😭😭

So up until this point I’ve had no complaints. But how did we go from her from this street smart busker who saved his life to this naive airhead. I mean come on she doesn’t have any romantic feelings foe Situ why is she being so stupid concerning him. Don’t make no sense. Her doing dumb stuff to endanger herself because she wants to be just like the Nocturnal Elf I get but this pure stupidity about a guy she’s not in love with who she barely knows or remembers is dumb to me. That’s all. Just dumb.

Yeah I would wait. It's nothing thought provoking. The romance is kind of draggy as well as the main plot overall but it's really cute. I'm enjoying it but I'm not really hard to please. Lol.

From what I learned in the forum about this drama. She will be punished with thunder strikes to the point her hair turns white and Shanggu is going to strip her of all her powers because she's done a great deal of dirt. I've not liked her since she showed up. There was a reason why the people from where she came from didn't like her. Apparently she tried to kill Feng Ran who is the reincarnation of the Phoenix Queen Feng Yan. I don't know if she tried to kill her before her reincarnation or after but she's been doing dirt a long time. And you know all the rest of her stuff up until this point.

I'm looking forward to when this happens because she is arrogant and strong in her wrong. Just a pain in my hind parts.

I'm enjoying the ride of this drama. It's cute and lighthearted. Plus I'm a huge fan of Huang Jun Jie with his pretty self. Yes I said pretty because this man is pretty. Like he looks like a mythical creature to me in every historical drama I see him in. He's just beautiful to look at.

Too light indeed. I do have a major spoiler about what ultimately happens to her. Makes me happy..

Episode 33 and the first person I got to look at is that Wu Huan. This chick is grating my most precious nerves. All of them..

Agreed. She’s absolutely beautiful and the scar isn’t unsightly or hideous. You’re right it’s not like the phantom of the opera. But still even if it were that bad and their make up is good enough to conceal it. Wouldn’t that be a win for the company. I mean common sense says if it can cover phantom of the opera level scars sign me up for a year supply if I needed it. The whole focus on that seems wasted because at the end of the days she’s gorgeous with or without the scar and it’s at her jaw like come on. It’s an insult to people with real scars they cannot overcome.

I really wanted to give this a chance in spite of the negative reviews but ughhh. Just ughhh.

Just here to say between Ancient Love Poetry, Falling Into Your Smile, Court Lady, The Legends and all his upcoming dramas (seems like he's in a million of them) this young man is going to snatch the breath from my body. First of all why is he so FINE. Second of all why is he so Talented. Third of all why is he so FINE? I know I went back to question one but I need to know. Like why. Why can he not be semi-cute. Why does he have to be make you waiting by the TV screen just to see his face fine? Why? Lol. In all seriousness though he is on my favorite actor list now..

Okay this drama isn’t that bad to the point that I cannot endure it. I just got a question though. What’s the big deal about her scar? Like it’s not that bad. Like she was injured due to an accident. I mean scars really that terrible. I mean life happens. Must you be ostracized for things beyond your control? And she’s still gorgeous. I don’t get the whole hubbabaloo about her scar. I can go on about things annoying me in this drama but it has nothing to do with the other negative comments. It’s grating my nerves at this point in episode 14. I think I’ll bounce on this one.

Agreed that’s when you know the acting is good because everyone wants to take them out. I’m ready to fight. Just seeing her on the screen her lips ooze with manipulation. Kudos to the actress she’s stellar indeed.

Okay I will check him out. Name of one of dramas please? And yes. That’s so true about Liu Xueyi. I noticed that about him in Qing Luo, That part of his acting is what made me pay more attention how he went from cold, to playful to inquisitive so fluidly. The transitions are always so smooth and real and yes that mature face of his and boyish smile is heart melting

He is indeed all of that. His acting is mesmerizing. I love how his playful nature comes through his characters. I'm thinking he does that too well and convincingly for him to just be acting. It's amazing. I just finished Qing Luo with him and loved every moment of the drama except for some of the overused tropes they threw in towards the end but it was still a good drama. I watched a drama with him in it and am surprised I missed that gorgeous face. I saw Destiny Of The White Snake. I must have skipped over the scenes with him in it because I did skip a lot of episodes. Gonna go back and watch the whole thing. In fact his dramas are on my binge list.

There are a few men who seem like they're just born to be in historical dramas because they look unreal like divine beings and that's Liu Xueyi, Li Hong Yi and Huang Jun Jie they are visually beautiful. They look mystical for real. Like how can they be so pretty. I'm sure there are others. I mean the men just look phenomenal in those historical garments in general.

Exactly. I've got time to spare and spend upon watching the divine visuals of Xu Kai and Liu Xueyi. I mean when you that FINE you deserve me sitting through heartache, pain, rain, turmoil, the high jinks of foolish females and such just to see you on my TV screen. They are worth it. I'll gladly volunteer as tribute LOL...

Me too. He's the reason I decided to watch. I just finished Qing Luo and started watching a drama with Xu Kai in it called Falling Into Your Smile and then I found out the both of them were in this. I was like yes WATCH! And I'm glad I chose to watch it. I had seen people making videos about it on TikTok but was like what's that. I'm glad I decided to watch even though I feel like my heart is gonna be ripped into 1 million pieces. It's worth it for the visuals of these two men.

Oh my.. Lol. That bad huh. Okay. Let me brace myself. I usually skip and wait till the good stuff happens again but I'm so invested in this drama. Doubly invested in the visual of Xu Kai and Liu Xueyi. I guess it's the price I must pay for the visuals. SMH. Loll

I don't get your attitude because you responded to my comment. If you're angry and annoyed about the way his character is written. Be that alone. Me personally him picking something out of her hair doesn't bother me. I guess I'm thinking for myself if I had something in my hair, I don't care who it is remove it please. Volunteering for the trip, I mean he likes her and the theme with most these dramas is the person who's chasing after the one they like is persistent and does anything to get close to the person they like - it's all in how they write the characters. I mean the females are way worse with spreading rumors, trying to insert themselves where they weren't invited and the list of heinous and ridiculous stalker behavior goes on. He likes her so he's not gonna say he approves. He has no right to make her choices but folk can say what they want but I guess that's just a personal thing. We all see things differently.

In comparison to some second leads he's way less problematic as far as I can see that's all I'm saying. And the fact that they've been drawn together is just making his feelings stronger. Before the red string, he was not inserting himself. Not to this degree and if he was I missed it. They did the assignment together and then for a few episodes he was just watching her. After she told him off, he took that and just watched. He wasn't following her around. He stopped texting her. He was not bothering. I have to go back and watch but to me it seems as if he was doing his best to work through his feelings alone.

When you're put in a situation where the person you're trying to get over is now in your face constantly. Through inexplicable reasons you keep randomly being drawn together at least one of them - the one more in love and desperate for the relationship is going to start to believe it is fate and destiny and that he/she shouldn't give up. And that's what's happening here. It actually was the plan of the mountain god when he slapped the string on them. It was for the purpose of entangling them to cause harm and hurt to the gumiho. The second lead in his heart believes their hope because the string pulls and tugs so they come together and it's feeding his hope. And as I was saying if they could ignore it, then her coming to him is adding to his delusion of him having a chance.

All I'm saying is regardless of what they have control over the deep parts they don't because the string keeps pulling together. People have fallen in love and stayed in love in Kdramas for way less than saving someone from being hit by something, taking care of someone while drunk. So all of these elements have been thrown into the equation. Of course he's going to feel destiny is pulling him to her and he's going to act on what he feels is true even if there's no hope and that's what makes the whole story line cruel to him because it makes him look like a jerk but he's not creating the circumstances that strengthening his feelings.
