Batman doesn't kill, actually. I would say they are turning him more into Dexter, a serial killer who kills serial…
Honestly it depends on what iteration of Batman you're talking about because Batman has killed. In All Star Batman and Robin Batman burns a number of criminals alive. In the original comic book series that launched in 1939 Batman killed quite often. He actually carried a gun at first so he kills two men with a gun. He kicked one criminal into a vat of acid, he snapped someone's neck with his foot. There are more and he did in a ruthless manner. The whole no killing narrative of his character is fairly new because the foundation of his character was built upon his rage over his personal tragedy. He was tormented tortured angry person who felt disappointed and let down by the law so he became the Batman to make criminals pay - his mindset was to be justice so was a vigilante serial killer.

And I know it's not a superhero story, I was just talking and expressing my feelings that it felt like a superhero backstory so as one thinking out loud, speculating and asking questions I included that in my post. It was a rhetorical question because my emotions were high at the time. I was looking for answers seriously. But it was an interesting thought and comparison. Just as the comparisons are being made to Dexter. My comparison to Batman had more to do with his personal tragedy, being used and now seemingly forced into this new identity based upon own pain and confusion right now. Plus I believe Batman is a more upright character than Dexter like Ba Reum. His nature is truly sweet unless something else is revealed. It appears he was a pretty good natured person and his whole life is being turned upside down based upon the choices of others. Dexter as far as i know is happy about being a serial killer and even believes he is doing society a favor by killing criminals. I didn't make the comparison between them because Ba Reum doesn't seem to feel happy about the feelings and urges he's having. He's quite tormented about it.

In my personal opinion what's happening to him feels like a superhero backstory and could easily fit in a comic book narrative for an anti-hero more specifically and that's just the feelings I was expressing in the midst of my raw feelings after finishing episode 11.

Thanks for commenting.

Well, I don't know why everyone is accusing him of being the real killer. As for me, he was behaving normally…
Yeah I saw that after watching all of episode 10 that the lawyer was that kid who pushed his mom out the window. There's so much going on in this drama. I love it but I'm a little traumatized after episode 11. The ending? At this point I cannot tell what's real, hallucination or what. Like how could Ba Reum be at his house with the child playing psycho hide and seek - like the switch and trigger he working with is crazy. And then the next minute it looks like he's bashing in the girl's head he was supposed to be looking over and marrying at some point. Like he got superman speed if that was him. How did he get there. That part left me so confused. Yes I'm confused at this point, conflicted yet invested because this drama is so good. I want to walk away but I'm such a huge Lee Seung Gi fan.

The range of emotions he is displaying in this drama. He deserves all the award. Like this man is sweet and docile one moment, loving and caring, compassionate and tenderhearted then he turns all Chuckie psycho killer because he doesn't like noise. Like that's his trigger - noise and being annoyed or poked at. My goodness. This drama.

I still believe he's an experiment and they're watching him. They took someone with a docile nature to see what would happen if bad genes were put in him. It's sad how they turned his life upside down. This is so intense. My heart broke watching episode 11. Just wow.

I stick with my belief that Ba Reum is the mouse of an experiment and it's completely wrong. Like what is their aim. They want him to become a vigilante serial killer like Batman. Because Batman is just a vigilante taking out bad guys. Is this a superhero backstory. What are they doing to my Lee Seung Gi. Stop messing with him. I'm guessing the little boy Yo Han encountered was Ba Reum. I only say that because there's a hint at it with his words when he said "why wasn't I born like that kid, I want to be like that kid, I want to be him." Well part of him has technically become one with him.

Ba Reum is an experiment and the sickos behind it are sitting back and watching him unravel. So unethical. I want to fight everybody about him right now. Everybody. Oh I see the cat is still alive but not happy with him.

Title Sunshine of My Life Spoiler
Is it possible to watch a drama where the vast majority of the female characters annoy you to the end. They named this Sunshine of My Life, it should have been name Annoying Women of My Life. Seriously.

The FL - annoyed me to no end. She started off smart, strong and independent only to end up being more like an annoying pouty face lil girl
Xueling - if a man don't want you, you making sacrifices he never asked you to make will make him love you more.

Bai Xiaomen - her self-imaged fued with the FL. She stayed busy trying to destroy someone who wasn't even concerned with her. She got her a CEO boyfriend and was still obsessed with the FL to the point of destroying the company of the man who was willing to tolerate her whiny self. What upsets me even more is the sweet guy who so quickly stands by her side and waits on her. She just uses him til the end. Ugh..

The supposed friend from design school - just dumb then had the nerve to want to cry about the mess she caused and wanted to blame the FL and then was still smug as she confessed it was her who ruined the dress. Really. These females.

Then the ultimate one who grated my nerves the ML momma. I tell you what that woman was ridiculous beyond words. I'm 42 episodes in with only 3 left and she still acting like a 2 year old over her son's personal life and choices. The man is happy. Stop it.

Other than the extras, there were 2 female characters that were pretty cool to me the ML cousin and the FL mom. The girl who stayed with her in Paris was pretty okay too other than when she pitched a fit on her boyfriend. He didn't deserve her outburst over the actions of another female trying to provoke her.

At any rate. I stayed for Zhang Han but boy was it hard to hold on. Oy.

Well, I don't know why everyone is accusing him of being the real killer. As for me, he was behaving normally…
Yeah I agree he is experiencing a life change. I mean he pretty was used as a lab rat and the experiment is yet unfolding. He's dealing with all these weird emotions and impulses but he's not acted on them. We saw him snap at the end of episode 8 but he still at war with him and he is seeking help secretly. The shame he's experiencing is not good because its causing him to lie and cover up while he's seeking help from those who experimented and are still observing him as an experiment.

And yeah the whole thing with the kids carrying the psychopath gene is disturbing. Like who was the kid that pushed him mom out of the hospital window? I remember at the beginning episodes after Head Hunter's wife found out he was a serial killer she was going to have the baby tested for the psychopath gene. There was a woman who came out of the office right before she was about enter in tears. I'm trying to remember if that's the same woman who was pushed out of the window by her child or was that another psychopathic kid. If so that's 3 potential killers. Actually 4 when you consider the little girl who was luring people for her father to kill. I think that lil girl is the PD now but still there's so many potential killers out there.

One is dead so there are still 3 or at least 2 if that lil boy who pushed his mom out the hospital window is a different child from the one being carried by the woman in tears leaving Daniel Lee's office right before Head Hunter's wife came in. So there's so much to consider. And I saw someone say Daniel Lee isn't dead so is he in on all of this. So much.

I love this drama for that reason. But I'm not ready to say Ba Reum is a killer because there's no solid evidence that he is. His story is still unfolding. To just say he's the killer like that. I mean he's the ML so if we find out anything about him like that it won't be until the end like in Flower of Evil.

I really wanted what you described in that drama. But it seems that the viewers don't like the fact that Bareum…
Either way it goes, I'm okay because his versatility is on display. The way he snapped at the end of episode 9 was so fluid. Like you saw it coming but it was this uncertainty of if he would just snap and he did but then the conflict set it. I think he's doing an excellent job. And yeah it would be an interesting turn of events to have the clumsy guy next door turn out to be a psychopath even tho he's the ML. It would be a refreshing twist. I'm not pressed either way because I'm a Lee Seung Gi fan. I just wasn't understanding the rationale behind some threads in the comment section when nothing has been revealed about him at this point other than the brain transplant, his weird mood swings, the voices and emotions he's been feeling which we now know is connected to the transplant. At this point he's been warring with that and solving crimes. I don't see where he's had the time to kill anyone or even the desire to do so prior to the surgery and even afterwards - even though he's feeling these emotions. The thought of taking a human life seems to anger him. And it seems he developed some sort of pre-cognition or insight into how a killer thinks but we know why.

Thanks for sharing because I was so lost.

I'm still trying to find where Ba Reum is the killer. As far as I see, he's just found out he's pretty much an experiment and the mad scientist is sitting back waiting on his evilness to manifests as an extension of himself so the killings can continue. The most Ba Reum has done is kill that bird he couldn't remember he killed as the characteristics of the head hunter's son are trying to overtake him and I think he killed the cat. These things are not good but he's seeking help and he doesn't want these things to overtake him. And he smashed his own hand to stop himself from killing so I still don't get him being labeled as a bad guy and a killer because we still don't know anything yet. This is all one big experiment and the results haven't come out. Sometimes I feel like the viewers are part of the experiment because opinions are so easily influenced. All it took was one episode for people to peg him as a killer based upon what it looked like he did only for the next episode to show us something different - the full picture. At any rate I can go on and on. I love this drama tho.

The way I see it, he will end up hurting himself in order not to kill. He's obviously conflicted and unhappy. Either way it goes my guy is playing this role. I am a huge Lee Seung Gi fan and this man is a phenomenal talent. For real. Can't wait for episode 11.

Ok I am in ep 3 and the captain can step on me, I don't usually simp over male actors but he is so fineeee
Listen Kdrama and Cdrama have made me a major simp. It's simp overload for me because all these men are fine. But that Bai Jingting is another kind of fine. Like how he has that baby face and got all that going on. I won't disclose much but episode 30 will have make it worse. I promise you. Well never mind episode 30 is like icing on the cake. It gets better and better with every episode. Okay I'm done because I can go on and on about him. I love this drama. The FL is one of my favorites. Loved her in Oh My General. This drama is it!!!

Whew That Bai Jingting with his cute self. Who told him to be that fine with that baby face. Who said he could have them arms and abs like he got. He look so skinny and baby face-ish and then got the nerve to be cut like that. Who gave him the permission to assault us like that. Lol. I can watch You Are My Hero over and over again. It will definitely go down in my fav Cdrama list with Love 020.

Me too. I absolutely love it. So much beauty in the various cultures we have across the globe. I'm happy to have such a rich ancestry. And your historical on Eastern Europe will be awesome I'm sure.

And as far as the drama. Yes I've skipped ahead so much. I cannot take a lot of the foolishness. It's wearing my nerves out. But I love the ML.

Yeah. His feelings do get hurt because he genuinely cares about her and he trusts her. He's never really trusted any of the women he was forced to marry. He didn't really trust his first legal wife. But his heart is completely invested in her. He loves her sincerely. Their relationship is solid. The way the build it is nice too. Takes too long but it's sweet.

Have you watched 9 and 10? If you have, you'll know why
I just watched the opening of episode 9. I guess I'll keep watching because as far as I see he's talking to the Head Hunter about the transplant. At this point tho the only thing he killed was the bird which was weird but after learning about the transplant I can see what happened with that. If my guy turns out to be the killer. Then I stand on what I said. His acting is supreme, superb and immaculate. I love Lee Seung Gi tho.

Lee Seung Gi is a talent bomb exploding with physical presence, brilliance and versatility. This man I tell you. Give him all the awards right now. I demand it. The villainy of the villains is make you wanna fight someone wicked. You know it's good when the villains make you want to throw things at the TV. Yes I'm loving this drama.

Soooo i'm strolling through the comments. And I'm a wee bit confused. Why are people saying that Ba Reum is the killer after watching episode 8? Because if you've watched up until that point then you know what happened. The memories and such are not his. He is not the child that went into the church to pray that God not let him be a monster. Am I missing something? Because that's how episode 8 ended with him finding out that Head Hunter performed his surgery and replaced his frontal lobe with the frontal lobe of his deceased son. Head Hunter's son brain was in tact. Ba Reum's head was bashed in which is why he had to have 3 brain surgeries. He had part of his brain replaced with the brain of the killer so he's experiencing his emotions, his memories and his murderous urges. It's all apart of an experiment as episode 9 opens up explaining. Which makes sense why the title is Mouse.

So am I missing something. Help please. I love Seung Gi so I don't want him to be a killer in the end but either way it goes the talent of this man is ridiculous because he is playing this role. Okay??? Yes!! Mr. Lee Seung Gi is giving us flavor, immaculate lines, delivery and physicality. He is superb. The flavor is tasty and I love it. Well maybe because he is one of my Kdrama boyfriends but still this man's ability to transform is phenomenal. He is flawless in this. Yes he is quite flawless. But as it stands he is not the killer. Not the killer. Lol. Nope. Stop calling him a bad guy. He's innocent until proven guilty. There's no evidence that he is the killer. None....

How far along are you? There is a bit of a misunderstanding around the death of her mother and him after they fall in love. It gets resolved pretty quickly but the concubines were busy trying to keep things going on between him and her.

Thank you. I am truly thankful for the experience and just being able to share with others. It's what I love more than anything. Congrats on your achievements as well. Sounds amazing. And hat's so cool that you're working on historical fiction!!I would love to read your poems and your writings on historical fiction.

I've become so interested and intrigued with historical dramas so I would love to read more historical fictions well anything other than American historical fiction. I did a DNA ancestry test to find out about my ancestry and I found out so much about my genetic make up some thing were surprising. One huge surprise beyond find out about what county in Africa my ancestors came from was the fact that I have Asian ancestry so that's only fueled my intrigue more about Asian culture more specifically I have Indonesian, Filipino and Austronesian ancestry so I am so ready to learn more about these places, their cultural traditions, food, history and such as I will be doing the same concerning my African ancestry. I want to know all the history especially the cultural traditions.

And thanks for the encouragement to write a love story. I am finishing up stuff with school and some other books I have completed so I'll definitely think about it. Your words are a blessing truly. Thanks again. It's so amazing when I get the chance to interact with persons like yourself. Just awesome!!

Oh my. The way I just hollered.. This comment is everything. And you're right they never cry. They just get more upset but I'm you did it. You created this mess so why you mad about getting caught and supposedly being wronged when you ma'am/sir are the source of the waterfall of wrong. Like you are the river supplier the wrong. Cut out the none sense and deal with the consequences. Lol. Villains and their whole whoa is me. Naw take this punishment like the man/woman you were when you started this mess.
