I actually think that Lee Soo was being considerate towards her on the most parts. He might have had real feelings…
I completely agree. And you raise a good question about if they would have had a failed relationship. And I don't think so between her low self-esteem and tendency to let people run over her, guide her thoughts and his pain over his family situation and not trusting people's true feelings toward him because he was a transfer wasn't he? I'm sure he only had girls and friends chasing him for his looks. And his whole arrogant, narcissistic shell is just that protection because he appears to be quite tenderhearted and loving but his parents kind of messed with that. I believe he's done the best he can to navigate that. And in my opinion he loves her enough as a friend and potential future partner to not destroy her with his inability to be in a committed relationship. I appreciate that about him. Because he could have used everything: his looks, his wealth, his status, his influence as well as her feelings to play around with her, string her along and all that if he was truly a narcissistic jerk.
And I like Wooyeon. I just think she's immature and has been unfair to him because it's not his fault her and her friends misjudged his intentions. In regards to friends like he said he wanted to be he's been that. And in looking back it's like you said, he never told her to wait for him, he never took issue with her being in relationships, he never did any of that so he didn't even send mixed signals.
There's so much here. But we'll see how it goes from here. Regardless of how this turns out. I refuse to believe Lee Soo had any other intention but to care about her. And I agree, he just wants to be genuinely loved and cared about. He wants someone to consider his feelings because it seems no one has except for his father's friend and I agree Wooyeon saving him, caused him to see that she really cared because up until that point all she really showed him is that she only cared about him reciprocating her feeling sand being her boyfriend. She just wanted her way. That was the second time because the first was when she thought he was in an accident. Her reaction startled him which proves he's not used to it so he's wounded and I can appreciate him not wanting to drag someone into a relationship with him when he is so wounded which proves he really cares about her the right way.
This is the cutest most adorable love filled.. Oh my goodness. From episode 1 to episode 10. Oh my goodness. This. It gave me the ending I've been hoping for with so many other dramas. Yesss. The ML stole my heart. Gift wrap him and deliver him to.... Please and thank you..
Thank you ! You literally said everything I was thinking. I would see people call him a jerk & I would think how?!…
No.. Thank you.. LOL. I was feeling all alone on this ship. I can see him being a jerk if he was using her feelings, toying with them and leading her on but he has not done that. We'll see how he handles this situation with the new man that's presented himself. Now if he still plays that just friends while displaying "I want to be your man," behaviors then I we can talk. He cannot be possessive when he's not worked out his own stuff.. In the meantime though I cannot see what he's done wrong up until this point in the drama.
At what point did the ML lead the FL on? At what point did he lie to her about his feelings? At what point did he play games with her heart? If he's guilty of anything, he's guilty of not being mature enough to understand his own emotions because he's still angry with his parents. He only has the example they set. He's a bit selfish which he's admitted but he's more fearful than selfish. In fact I believe the selfish hard act is a product of his fear of losing someone he loves and if that makes him a jerk oh well. I can understand if he led her on but when did he. I missed that part. He was upfront. I see you as a friend.
So it's okay for a female to be empowered to say we're just friends or I see you as a friend but be confused about her feelings but it's not okay for a guy to be upfront and honest with a female about wanting to be friends? I don't get it. I rather him be honest that for a relationship. I mean is that we're doing. I like you so you got to like me, you've got to reciprocate or that makes you a bad person if you don't even though you keep telling me let's be friends. When did we start making people responsible for our emotions? What makes him a jerk because he's been saying the same thing from jump. I want to be your friend. And until he gets over his pain, he doesn't need a relationship because he's going to destroy someone's heart until he is healed but I forget we rather have dysfunctional inauthentic relationships than honest ones. I love his honesty. He's a little clueless about some things but honest. At least that's the way I see it.
Tell me when he lied to her. When? When did he string her on? When? When did he say anything other than what he's been saying. I can see that if he changes the script like he is now and never says why. If he still says lets be friends now that's he's speaking like "I want to be your man," as shown at the end of episode 4, then let the labels fly but up until this point he's been honest. Period.
I love this drama because of it's honest look at both sides of the love story.
So many are saying the ML is a jerk but there was never one time that he stringed her along or played with her emotions. He was upfront about wanting to be friends. His only fault is he apparently didn't understand how male/female friendships work. The things he said to her were intimate things that you only say to someone that's more than a friend. And believe that example was set by his parents. You mimic what you are taught right or wrong. I don't think he intentionally got her hopes up. He cares for her and that's obvious but he has not been able to get his own emotions in order because she's not the only person he's locked out. He's had no real relationships, that much he admitted and spoke about freely with her, even his reasoning and his pain. He never lied to her and played the whole let me keep her on a string game. He never played games with her. He didn't realize his own feelings and to a certain degree have been afraid of his own feelings and messing things up. I commend him for being aware of his feelings. And he shouldn't be a jerk for being honest. You can't force someone into a relationship with you. That's not healthy.
On her end I can see how she was confused because he was so caring towards her and because society portrays men as not having the ability to be nurturing and caring as friends we assume their affection is more than what it is at times. He was sweet to her. He looked at her like she was the only person that existed (which for him may be true). And from all of that plus people interpreting his feelings got her confused about what he meant. I like how she drew the line and let him know it was difficult for her to be friends with him because of her feelings and just like he wanted her to respect his choice to be friends he needed to respect her reasons for not being able to do that. I don't feel she should have made him responsible for her inability to be his friend either because it's not like he was sending her love letters, telling her how much he wanted to be with her. He never used her affection for him against her but she threw his desire to be friends in his face which wasn't fair. You cannot force a relationship. It won't work or be healthy.
Very strong. I understand the ML to a certain point but at the same time he's a bit selfish a fact he's well aware which makes him poor competition up against the SML who appears to be the complete opposite of the ML. We'll see how the ML character develops past his flaws. He has the best chemistry with the FL though. I'm talking blazing chemistry you can feel it. The SML is sweet but the chemistry is not quite there.
I'm so conflicted! The ML and FL have amazing chemistry - the second episode proved that. But the third episode…
I was just about to post the same thing. I don't know what it is about the ML. As conflicted as I am between him and the SML, I understand his hesitation and his inability to express himself. The chemistry between him and the FL is undeniable. Like my heart leaps every time they are on the screen together. The ML is just wow. I don't know what he got but he got it. Screen presence, that sexiness, that face is undeniably everything and his broodiness. He wears broody well. On the other hand there's the adorable, super honest SML but I'm curious about his motives. He's proven that he will go to any lengths for his writers or authors/photographers/calligraphers he's wanting to work with. Is his angle all about making money for his company or did he truly develop feelings for the FL. I mean. Wooo.. This one has my emotions in a twist already.
So I'm a huge Lee Seung Gi fan. I started to watch this drama and dropped it at episode one because it didn't grab my attention right away. I however came back to it because I saw that Ahn Jae Hyun was in it as well and I'm obsessed with his voice because it don't match his face. I love it. At any rate I started the binge on yesterday and finished today and let me tell you. This drama is so awesome. I have cried. Wanted to throw stuff at the TV because the FL worked my nerves momentarily along with others getting away with dirt but this thing ended so well. I loved it. Love love love loved IT!!! This is a good one. And the Division Chief played by Im Won Hae is hilarious.. This is a must watch.
I came for Li Hong Yi. He's captured my attention lately. Seems interesting thus far.... The editing is bad and so forth but I won't be picky because Li Hong Yi is quite interesting to look at. His visuals are good enough to keep my attention.
I love this series. It a perfect mix of everything I love Fantasy, Romance, Mystery and all that. I see the ratings aren't that high but I love it. Absolutely love it. I have learned you can't always go off ratings. Everyone has their own personal taste and I like this. I'm absolutely enamored with the ML and FL they are so cute. I see they did this and Love Better Than Immortality in the same year. I would like to see these two together. The ML is so adorable. Exceptional and adorable.
After watching him in Love Better Than Immortality, I decided to check out Prodigy Healer because him and the FL are both leads in that drama series. And after a few episodes I've come to realize he is just adorable in general. Like he's super adorable period. I'm head over heels in love with the character Qiu Yue he portrays in Love Better Than Immortality. I'm still trying to figure out a way to make him a real boy. LOL. Where is Geppetto when you need him?
Watched it to the end. Loved it. I'm completely in love with Qiu Yue. Like can we make him a real person. I have so many good things to say about him. I also noticed the ML and FL were in The Prodigy Healer as leads so I wonder if that was their first time working together. They're cute together.
Episode 19 and I'm quite annoyed. Manipulation does something to me. And I don't appreciate how the FL keeps using the ML's love for her against him by using him when she's in trouble and now using him when she needed something else. This annoys me. Okay. Rant over. I know the ML is like a bad boy but his feelings are pure. I want to protect him. She's getting on my nerves right now.
I was intrigued by the concept of this drama but the only keeping me here is Li Yong Hi his screen presence is beautiful. I am mesmerized every time he shows up. His chemistry with the FL is amazing. She's not as annoying when she's with him. She seems desperate and overbearing with the SML it's a little much. I don't know but it's worked my nerves to a very unbearable degree.
This guy is actually so adorable. I thought he was weird looking at first, but he won me over in Love Better Than…
Agreed. He has absolutely captured my attention in Love Better Than Immortality. I mean can we have more of him like this. His screen presence is overwhelming and captivating.
saw him in MDDKM, didnt like his acting so didnt follow his future roles. But i must say he has greatly improved!…
I saw him in MDDKM season one and two and could not remember who he was. But he has my full attention in Love Better Than Immortality. His screen presence is everything. Like at this point I'm only watching for his appearance on the screen. He's quite captivating in this role for reason I'm too shy to admit.
And I like Wooyeon. I just think she's immature and has been unfair to him because it's not his fault her and her friends misjudged his intentions.
