Title Backstreet Rookie Spoiler
Hey!!! Dae Hyun's sister is annoying!!! I thought the same about Eun Byul, but at least she follows her dream…
She is quite annoying. But I believe her character serves one purpose - to show that we all got that one relative that's completely self absorbed, talks too dogon much without once stopping to listen or care about what others have to say. They get on your nerves. She's there for that. Can't convince me otherwise because other than that she's an irrelevant character..

My patience is running thin with the FL seriously. I can understand some things but her attitude towards DO is a lil too much. I mean after a while you should be able to discern someone's sincerity and think to yourself okay what really happened? And was there more to what happened between us. At what point does common sense kick in. I'm so annoyed right now. I don't appreciate the constant hurt DO is being put through. He deserves better.

I like them all for different reasons, but I agree that the best is definitely Oh Dae Oh hands down. After all…
Yes I agree each has their own charm and good quality about them but DO's passion and love for her is so tangible. And I believe you're right, the presence of that actress may be the catalyst to help AJ realize her true feelings because when someone can rile you like he riles her - it's proof she's still in love. I want to know what exactly that actress chick did to break them up because I am convinced she was involved since she's know them since way back. He was her tutor and she wanted him and she's not beyond causing havoc. I thought Ryu and her were in cohoots together back then but I'm trying to give him the benefit of the doubt that he wouldn't want to hurt her like that but jealousy is cruel. I'm excited to learn what the truth is behind the breakup. I need to know.

I was convinced he was the dad as soon as he started bickering with Ha Nee! Lol! They are peas in a pod!
Same. That's what did it for me. They act just a like and she kind of favors him. The little girl they chose for the role is a perfect fit. Their whole interaction was just cute. Actually from the moment he laid eyes on her when they brought mom home drunk. His face lit up and that wave. He was like HI! I thought that moment was so adorable because it seems he fell in love with that lil girl then. His smile said it all. He looked at her almost like she was familiar to him. At least that what I saw, his heart was won over at that moment. Makes me want to cry thinking about it.

Girl you read my mind! That hospital scene when Hanee pointed to her mom that Oh Daeoh save her, it felt like…
Yeah DO has my whole heart. And as far as Teacher YW, in my opinion I don't believe he feels entitled to know. I just think he's like a little boy in love who feels he missed an opportunity to protect this woman and her unborn child. He said that he wanted to protect her and keep her safe and since reconnecting and learning all she's endured he's just fearful about her being hurt and her daughter. I don't think he understands not overstepping because his mom is like that. I believe his heart is in the right place, it just comes off as fear more than possession to me. I believe his intentions are good but what I've noticed about him, he's just real observant. He watches and notices everything and I believe he saw something that's making him reconsider his ill feelings towards DO after seeing him risk his life to save her and their interaction. I believe out of all the men he would be the most willing to let her go as long as he knows she is happy. I think more than anything he wants to protect her like she was willing to go fight and protect him when they first me.

Yes. Likable. Lovable. All that. And I'm with you tho. I was still holding out hope for YW and even in this episode it seemed as if her heart is being moved by him so it's not an illusion - you saw what you saw but DO is just hands down unmatched. It's obvious he loved/loves her with a depth of love the other men cannot even begin to muster up and or understand other than YW because I believe he is willing to do whatever just to be there for her. Ryu seems a bit selfish so he was canceled. Actually I never approved his season. And the investor/ex-gangster I don't think it's fair to her to be living in the shadow of a woman he once loved. She don't need that drama. She cannot replace his son's mom. Ahhh this thing is breaking my heart.. Big time.. Like seriously. That YW is just a visual gift.

I'm all in on DO too because out of all the men he seems like the underdog. He's got the misunderstanding behind their break-up. He's shorter than them all. He's not as smooth as the others. His presence isn't all that commanding but he has passion and sincerity more than them all only person who can match his sincerity and passion is YW. Oi. This is hard but I'm here for it. I've settled in my mind there are only two men truly in the running and the other two are just for fillers and entertainment only. That's how I'm coping with this love polygon.. Lol.

Exactly!!!! Like the measures she takes to avoid all discussion with him about Ha-nee is crazy. Like she has no issue with the actor being near her, no problem with the teacher because it's his job of course but Dae-o she completely loses all ability to think straight. And I knew Ryu Jin was in love with her. I'm on pins and needles anticipated episode 8 after the previews. This thing is getting good! The four men thing is a little overwhelming tho. They were ambitious with this story line. I mean killing us with 4 good men. I mean they all have their good points but after seeing all that Dae-o went through just to be with her and his willingness even now to risk it all even if it means experiencing the pain he experienced from the misunderstanding proves he is man real about his love. Shoot I'm like give him to me. LOL. That's a man willing to risk his pride, risk the movie, risk his life, risk it all just for her and when he begins to have suspicions about the daughter oh it's really gonna be no stopping him. I'm 100% team Dae-o. My heart was wavering between him and the teacher.

I love the teacher. He is tall, handsome and oh so everything but he is up against a worthy rival in Dae-o. Dae-o is unmatched!! Unmatched I say. LOL.

Oh Dae-o has won my heart and no one can change my mind. I am slowly losing patience with the FL. I understand tho - she is handling him based off whatever lie she believed that led to their break up so she's in protect mode but he had me at "I'm still in love with you."

And I am convinced after episode 7 that Oh Dae-o is the dad because Ah Rin is too happy believing Ha-nee is someone else's daughter and after Dae-o's interaction with Ha-nee I am convinced she is his. Convinced of it!!!

Yeah I'm holding out hope too that's why I plan to pick it back up after all the episodes have been uploaded. For the time being I can't. In a lot of the discussion on it, it seems that her behavior hasn't changed much. Ah well to each its own. I am learning how not to be surprised by much after seeing young women say the character Oh Sangwoo from Killing Stalking can kidnap and rape them any time just because they say he's attractive. I'm sorry abusive, narcissistic, manipulative and sociopathic behavior on anyone is not cute, sexy or desirable. I'll pass.

You verbalized this in a way I've been struggling to as it relates to It's Okay To Not Be Okay. I dropped it at episode 8 because her behavior like you said was being shown as fun and romantic when in essence if it were a man who manipulated, followed a woman to her home town, showed up on her job and did the things she did or even manipulated the autistic sister of that woman just to get her to move in with him , that behavior would not applauded, celebrated or illuminated as fun and romantic - it would be considered creepy and socio-pathic so I've been struggling with the praise and love of this behavior. Is it because she's a woman, pretty and dresses nice? I've been lost. I plan to pick the show back up but I wonder has she gotten help or is the behavior still persisting and how healthy would a relationship like this be realistically speaking. I'm just confused at how this is beautiful and romantic. I appreciate the desire to show mental health issues and that anyone could be impacted or develop these issues based upon their experiences but these behaviors shouldn't be normalized and praised. What is the plan for healing? Sex? I've just been lost on what's the plan for healing.

Oh Dae Oh is turning out to be one of my favorite characters for so many reasons. He's so honest and holds nothing…
Yeah I was thinking the same thing. What an odd coincidence for their surnames to be the same. There has to be a connection somehow since everything in Kdrama's is usually tied to childhood connection, hidden family secrets and so forth. Lol. It's sad how much I love this show. I want all the episodes now and I'm ordering a season 2 jus because it does seem like she's so capable when it comes to handling them all. She has them all on their toes and I love it. They respect her and genuinely care for her.

Honestly I hope they wrap up the whole who's the daddy thing and focus on making the movie and her success there because the show kicked off with her interviewing for a film company and showing her determination to produce in spite of her set backs. I want to see the progression of her success and not the constant go around about the baby's father and so forth. I want to see this woman get the success she deserves. Settle the matter and then let's see which man is mature enough to handle her success because men show something different when you don't necessarily need them to protect you and be everything for you. Which man can handle her succeeding? That's the question.

Dae Oh was her tutor when she was in high school
Yeah I'm starting to see that his heart is pretty genuine towards her too. It showed in episode 6 that he really cares about her. I am enjoying the dramas playing out in his head concerning Ha-Nee. He is truly an actor to his core.. LOL.

Yeah I'm ready for next week's episodes. I am seriously torn between Oh Yeon Woo and Oh Dae-oh. Either way I hope it's an Oh who wins in the end. I'll be okay with either one. My only issue with the YW is his mom. She seems so manipulative but at the same time it seems she really wants her son happy and will give up the cold war to see him smile. We'll see.

This drama is good. The FL is driving me crazy with some of her behavior but thinking from the perspective of one who's had to survive as a single mom I can understand her over the top "I need to be strong, stubborn and self sufficient," attitude. I've been there.

Episode 6. Oh my god!!! Oh Dae Oh just dropped THE BOMB! #cliffhanger
Oh Dae Oh is turning out to be one of my favorite characters for so many reasons. He's so honest and holds nothing back. I believe he is the most genuine and authentic about his feelings. If he's being a jerk he knows it and admits it, when he's committed he's committed. I cannot find one lie he's told her and he's not much for hiding stuff either. He just blurts out what he has to say. And he's not afraid of checking anyone about AJ. He's amazing. Can't wait for next week's episodes. I love this drama so much.
