"That's not quite how Season 1 portrayed it. The Crown Prince (Li Ce) has a different mother. The big sister and her younger brother, the Second Prince, share the same mother; he's intelligent but still a young kid. The big sister basically controls the spies and merchants, so she's way too OP. Li Ce, the Crown Prince, had the Queen as his mother, but she died early. He's a playboy and not clever, which is why the big sister wanted to remove him as Crown Prince, but she didn't succeed, so she hoped her younger brother would become king instead. Then Season 2 does a total flip-flop, and we don't see the princess at all. Her bending-sword style is amazing, like in Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon. She was seeking more power, which is why she snuck into the Afterlife Camp. Nice drama!

Okay, but why did the secret agent vanish, the princess and big sister of Li Ce? She was too OP in Season 1: the Afterlife Camp, finding Cloud Token, and that bending sword technique, she was amazing. Then she just gets reduced to ash? Lol, is it just because Li Ce becomes king and rules instead of the princess? Because she was too OP? so let delete her lol introducing queen and king lol

The official rating is 4.1, but here it’s 7.6, so it’s not low rating. The story noticeably improves around episode 14, shifting into a new narrative style that revolves around the queen and an assault on Princess Chun’er. Even so, many viewers still find it hard to accept, mainly because the Princess of Nan Lian is nowhere to be found. Meanwhile, Yuwen Yu named the Zhuge and become a barbarian king, which feels rather odd. Still, at least the plot takes a clear turn for the better from that point on.

Yes, it's great, but the storyline about Chu's mother and that whole mystery needed more expansion, yet it just went nowhere. The secret agent vanished somehow (10?), and Princess Lang is nowhere to be found. Didn't she team up with Yuwen Hua to destroy Yanbei, lol? your yan xun alone isn't enough

Looks like you've got a bit of an obsession, lol, you take the actors and actresses so deep into your heart, mind, and brain. For me, I like the characters in the drama alone, not the actual actors outside of the story. I appreciate the whole cast working together, but I don't like it when the second female lead 'chuner' who goes insane, gets into drugs, wants to kill her own king father, and gets assaulted by Yan Xan's soldiers. I favor Princess Lang because she can challenge the male lead and keep the story balanced. Huh, looks like you're a hardcore fan of the cast.....cry more, pal.

No one is downgrading anything, it's about the storyline, location, and names. Not everyone favors one cast over another. If you can't understand why the rating is low, then keep crying; maybe one day you'll fit into society.

2 Chu Ner, the Wei princess, was assaulted by Yan Xan’s soldiers , now second main lead and become wife of yan xan lol.
3 The crippled man who injured Chu Qiao and lost her memory is completely gone.
4 The underground merchant who fed the rats is also gone.
5 The locations and world building are a mess with no clear direction or narrative purpose.
6 Both the fight scenes and the overall intelligence/complexity of the plot have been reduced.
so it is not about cast but all about story.

Keeping the same cast won’t save the story, and smart actors won’t join a flat storyline anyway. The changes just make it worse:
