I definitely agree with you!! But I also have to take it in the sense of, if you grow up your whole life being…
As much as I wouldn’t personally build a BnB house like this either 😅, everyone who joined the program (and was interviewed) already knew it was Kian’s project 😆. Kian is actually quite well-known in Korea, especially to those who watch I Live Alone. He’s famous for his eccentric and unique style (and of course, his manhwas).
He’s the type to prioritize creativity, youthful energy, and even a dash of that quirky “military camp” vibe over comfort every time. As fans, we’re often both a little grossed out (in the most affectionate way) and inspired by his youthful, out-of-the-box ideas.
Also, I agree with the commenter above. At first, I was a bit worried for the guests too—but I ended up loving how the experience encouraged them to be more… human? Like one of the guests mentioned, they felt independent, and I think that feeling is such a rare gift—especially in today’s world. It truly warmed my heart to see both children and adults move through the space as individuals—confident, self-reliant, and capable in their own ways.
P.S. I’d totally be up for a second season with a slightly more accessible door 😆😆😆
Halfway through but I just have to say that this is a fun drama. Just needs patience while reading the subs but overall understandable if you know a bit of chinese, it's like those mtl raw translation of chinese webnovels.
