Things that stood out to me in ep. 1: (spoiler central lol)
- Hyun-soo has asthma? (excuse me, did NOT see that coming like what lol), which I don't want to assume anything, he also had an inhaler. - When the cops scanned Hyun-soo's body by uv-light, ultraviolet etc. so you could see handprints and scratches, which was pretty cool honestly, I've never seen a kdrama do this before, specifically a crime or thriller kdrama. - The fact the writers got straight into the plot man ... BLESS THEM UGH, so many writers put filler on before getting right into the action, the first episode gave enough to deliver a clear message and the clear message is "Save Hyun-soo" lol. - Hyun-soo waking up on the couch instead of in bed with the woman, like okay ... who put him on the couch lol ... - The fact everyone thinks Hyun-soo is guilty before he even gets a trial or a lawyer, some would say this describes our justice system today pretty well, there is no such thing as "innocent until proven guilty" not in any society, people will always be quick to judge. - The writers showing, Hyun-soo's home life and school life, they didn't say what he wanted to major in though, we see a "foreign language exam" at the beginning or ep. 1, does he want to be Linguist? A teacher? Is that class only an elective and was this test a final? For which class? I hope they address this. I'd like to hear what he's going to school for lol. - Shin Joong-han being an intriguing character. You get a sense of his personality in just one episode and I love that, you'll also notice unlike everyone else Hyun-soo has met, he doesn't ask "why did you kill her" or assume Hyun-soo killed her, we don't know the reason why he wants to help Soo though ...
So intrigued with this drama gimme all the episodes lmaoooo
Man ... I haven't been hooked on the first episode of a drama since "Mouse" aired earlier this year, the first episode was absolutely fantastic, the writers gave you as little info as possible, but enough for the rest of us to be engaged, also Kim Soo-hyun's acting ... top tier y'all, TOP TIER ... like damn ... and the fact this show is 18+ makes it even better tbh, I cannot wait what ep. 2 and wait to see what the rest of the show offers, especially with Cha Seung-won's character.
