Fun fact. I am/was also not a fan of Cdrama because I tend to drop. The ones I truly enjoyed are “You Are My Glory”, “You Are My Hero” & “A Love So Beautiful”.
But this one, this one is different for me. It feels close to heart. It feels genuine & sincere. It even made me want to try other Cdramas.
I suggest you try watching it WITHOUT putting any high expectations. I went in without any expectations, I finished with high satisfaction. Truly an amazing experience.

Maybe some HL viewers (who watched HL behind-the-scenes) haven’t noticed yet so I just want to share my observations here. Hehe
I noticed how at first, Chen Zheyuan appeared to be a calm, collected, awkward and shy guy in the BTS, especially when he’s with the happy-go-lucky & bubbly, extroverted Zhao Lusi.
But as they interacted more, as they were becoming closer, he started to look more comfortable and more smiley (as in big smile) and laughed more, although he’s still a shy guy (especially during their kissing scenes LOL).
And I love that. That’s why among other romance drama couples, I love ZLS & CZY the most because of their adorable and beautiful chemistry. ❤️
I just finished watching this drama and I have mixed feelings about it, I started it because it had lusi in it…

As for me, I can’t imagine anyone else as the ML except for Chen Zheyuan. It’s his “sad boy” eyes for me. And how he worked hard to be Duan Jiaxu, and as the story goes further, he himself learned a lot from DJX character.

If they added more side characters, it might annoy some viewers like what usually happened with most series with too many side characters.
I love how HL focuses on the main leads story.
Oh if you haven’t known, there will be a spin-off drama for Sangyan. But the actor isn’t Victor Ma.
