I can’t tell you how amazing the drama is.
But to compare it with Love O2O (same writer with You Are My Glory), YAMG is more mature and has deeper meanings of life and relationships, also much more realistic. It also has the same ML with Love O2O, and the FL’s acting is much much much better.
You’re so lucky to watch something like YAMG as a beginner in Cdrama world! :)

The only bad thing about the drama is the FL’s acting. Yang Yang is a good kisser (obviously) but with the FL, you’ll feel like you’re watching an adult man kissing a teenage girl lol.
I prefer the movie anyway, but for details, yes go watch the drama. :)

Some facts: It’s hard for me to like a Cdrama and watch most of them without skipping some scenes, without cringing at ML & FL romance. Now the only Cdramas that have successfully made into my favourite Cdramas are “You are My Glory” & “A Love So Beautiful”. ;)
Anyone can suggest me more good Cdramas like these two? With great chemistry between leads, please. Not with a FL like in Love O2O please! Thank you. :)
Words can’t describe how much of a masterpiece this drama is! I cried so bad at the final episode, part of me felt so proud of the entire production team especially the novelist/scriptwriter. Another part of me felt like I’d be missing something big in my life after this drama ends.
“How do I move on from this drama?” “What should I watch next?” “Where else can I find a drama that’s as good as this?” ^ My thoughts during the finale.
I kinda regret that I decided to watch this drama late (because it’d be better if I watched it while it was ongoing, so I could suffer from waiting for new episodes LOL), but also grateful because I started watching it nonetheless.
The only disadvantages of YAMG are: 1. 32 episodes are really not enough for me. I need more! I need to witness their future as a family. 2. It’ll be so hard for me to get out of this hole YAMG has thrown me into. :’) 3. YAMG, amongst other Asian romance dramas that I’ve watched since 2010, has successfully made me feel single af! LOL! 4. My standard for romance genre AND my type of guy have went up to a new higher level (as if they weren’t already high). Now I don’t know if I could get me a boyfriend—ahem—a HUSBAND like Yu Tu who has flaws but perfect in my eyes. I don’t know if I could find a partner as supportive as Jing Jing, who would look at me like I’m the brightest star in his life, who would tell me that I’m “his GLORY”. :’D
This is it. Without second thoughts, I rate You Are My Glory a solid 10/10, more than that if I could! I’d definitely rewatch it in the future. <3
I really love this article! Jdramas should be as popular as Kdramas, imo. When I’m tired of watching Kdramas, Cdramas & Thai lakorns that have many episodes, I’d watch Jdramas to relax. And now I’m currently in Jdrama mode, watching some new ones and rewatching some old ones aired back when I was a school student. :P
I hope someday Kamiki Ryunosuke, Mukai Osamu, Ikuta Toma, Yoshizawa Ryo, Yokohama Ryusei, Chiba Yudai, Sakaguchi Kentaro & Mackenyu (more leading roles for him I hope!) will also get more recognition they deserve.

You might find the FL kinda annoying at first but their character development is shown very well. :)
