Remember I said last week that I convinced my housemates to watch this drama?

They LOVE it! One of them is even the type who always drops dramas halfway. She was so frustrated and said, “no wonder you love this drama!” 😭

Too bad that a lot of DWY fans don’t have MDL accounts to increase the rating here. 🥲

And I also convinced my workmates to watch it. Some of them are already watching though. ❤️

TODAY IS D-DAY FOR EP 15! 🥳🥳🥳

Next week is the finale. Big possibility of a happy ending. :)

My thoughts:

He was sick > illness (but not the curse) healed by The Cure Disease Spells > they got together > curse became stronger when the black magic (the plant) took effect > black magic was there to separate them > Both didn’t know how to break the curse > plant was killed > SY was stabbed > the centuries old curse was lifted by “a” death (his heartbeat stopped for a while) > HJ found out the curse has gone > HJ becomes more secured to stay with SY

Actually they do. But not as obsessed as me. I’m their biggest influencer when it comes to K/C/J/Thai dramas. 😭

Yeah before watching ep 14, we were doing our own little karaoke. Then I said “excuse me. It’s my Kdrama time now”

A few moments later, I was sighing, crying, bawling, slapping the table. And when they were talking to me, I didn’t hear them as if I was in another dimension. 😩

Didn’t cry, but my eyes kept sweating during the entire episode 14. 🤣

IMO, it’s depressing, in a good way.

*sighs* I don’t know… I’ve tried watching many Kdramas that were released between the year 2022-2023, but most of them either (1)fell flat towards the end, (2)became too ‘modernised’, or (3)didn’t stand out from the rest modern Kdramas.

And the ones I completed, I did just for the sake of finishing what I’d started. I really love some though! E.g. “Crazy Love”, “From Now On, Showtime!” & “Crash Course in Romance”.

This drama brought me back to Kdramaland though. It gives me nostalgia from 2014-2016 Kdrama era.

Might try to catch up with other previous Kdramas, but if they don’t make me feel any different, then I’ll just drop and move on.

I also wished for the same thing. Or at least change those fillers with scenes that revolve around the spells.

OTOH, some viewers prefer Shin Yu and Hong Jo. Some prefer Mu Jin and Aeng Cho. The reactions would either depend on viewers’ preferences, or the writing/directing.

I think “Destined with You” will be one of my best romance Kdrama of 2023, if the finale next week doesn’t disappoint. Though it’s my first one after a long Kdrama slump. Still counts.

Even though HJ character is not my favourite Kdrama FL, but that doesn’t reduce my love for this drama.

It’s been a (fun) rollercoaster ride since episode 1 till now, with 2 times of rewatching. Will be rewatching it in the future.

Finally came an episode that allows me to sleep well after watching. The story definitely gets better towards the end. Glad I never decided to drop it.
