Lol, unfortunately, someone always has to be the scapegoat. As far as the dishwashing incident, she was the one who made the president aware about the faulty dishwashers sold to the public. HSK and even the president's...uh I guess advisor(?) kept this fact from him and from what I recollect was gonna pin the problem on her but then she found out and as a last resort in saving herself told the president only because Choi had a possible fix, well not so much a fix but solution to help save the company millions by letting customers know if their product was faulty before it died. In doing so making her look favorable. Plus HR although they are the mediators between the employees and corporate, they are there to ultimately serve the HQ and be it's eyes and ears. Notice during the voluntary interviews she's bring up personal facts and knowledge as leverage in those meetings. Ultimately I'm sure it's not personal but just the way it is. :P
I feel bad for Ms. Dang. She's just like the rest of them, trying to keep HER job, but is always treated like…
In Ep 11, She flat out tells her friend It doesn't matter if I like it or not I have to convince him to resign if that's what HQ wants or something to that effect. To me, she made the poor choice in underestimating someone who was not just a coworker but an ally. And shows she still has little to no sympathy for these people; her main objective is meeting a quota. Yes, it is her job to carry out HQ's demands but unless I'm wrong they didn't exactly single out Mr. Choi specifically and let's say he was, the way it was carried out was all on her. And besides that she has to convince the senior employees to leave voluntarily with what i'm assuming is a shit severance for all their time and work; not her doing but still it's like adding insult to injury without any sympathy, I understand you sort of have to in her line of work. Which is why Ep 12 was fun to see her get a little taste of her own medicine. And now from the looks of it we get to see a whole different dynamic with the remainder of the story. Can't wait~
Lol we have gone full circle. Miss Dang is now in almost the exact position Choi found himself in at the beginning.…
As someone who was responsible for administering layoffs or ‘volunteer resignations’ (that was a new one for me) that was pretty amusing and somewhat satisfying(?) lol
We think this is under the rights of the company and not an individual. That's why.
It's been pretty clear CBS will go above and beyond to do a good and thorough job when it comes to his work, I think having more to do with his integrity and work ethics. Also remember he's been working for the same company for a long time before being transferred due to cutbacks in which he was recognized year after year at his old branch. He possibly did it out of good faith or assumed this could be a favorable bargaining chip if needed down the road. But one things for certain is as good of a guy he is, he's proven he won't take being treated like crap lying down and will use his wits to cleverly retaliate.
Maybe she knew she was already on thin ice and counted her blessings for not being canned but I was expecting…
I do agree. Ultimately her job is to carry out whatever corporate decides, but based on my initial viewing she just seemed surprisingly colder towards CBS than expected despite what they've been through. At this point in their professional relationship I figured they’re at the level where she could be honest and tell him what she’s dealing with, obviously a less interesting approach than where we’re at now. Lol Also rewatching at the moment now that English subs are available and I totally missed the part where she’s trying to negotiate a decent severance packages with the finance dept in which her friend/roommate sorta threw her under the bus and suggested she use some of her salary lol. Definitely sucks to be in her shoes.
Mr Choi got up at the end of this episode and said " Imma show yall why this show's title is what it is"🤣🤣🤣.…
Maybe she knew she was already on thin ice and counted her blessings for not being canned but I was expecting her to at the least put up some sort of fight for Mr. Choi, especially since was HIS ingenuity that helped save the company as well as her position.
yes you are right! check out this behind the scenes video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Xit-ScWgtOs&ab_channel=NetflixJapan
Thanks so much for the link! Yeah I've seen this since finishing. I was really impressed how they recreated the live action streets of Shibuya! Looking forward to Season 2!
Touching end. I’ll admit for some it may be confusing but without going into spoiler territory not sure if the could’ve shot it differently. Although I knew there had to be a twist half way didn’t expect the one we got and that’s a good thing. Would recommend~
And yet you’re realizing these tropes now?? Here are a few more tropes used all the time in no order: long lost family members, memory loss, love triangles, lovers from different classes and their opposing family, DNA relation discovery by testing toothbrush, accidental death or memory loss by getting hit or falling down on head or by oncoming vehicle which has plenty of time to stop but doesn’t stop… I can go on.. ;)
Just started and finished watching Sweet Home over the weekend and who do I happen to pleasantly be surprised to find but Mr. Shin! Who happens to be pretty badass in that. Definitely compared to his character here esp while brandishing a katana! Lol
